Good idea, but not for the "cinematic" moment (camera should stay isometric but okay for a nice animation of course :) ).

I'll choose Heaven... after playing very evil guys in so many RPG it's fun to be on the "light"-side sometimes.
But for sure, i'll try Hell after ! :P

posted a message on "Arcade-dungeon" generator in D3
    Hi everyone !

Remember about the great game "Planescape Torment" ?
There was a place named Rubikon where cubic-people named Modron built very randomized dungeon with a difficulty setting.
Once you took control of this place you'd be able to generate randomized dungeons and dive into.
    Source :
    http://www.rpgclassics.com/shrines/pc/planescape/modron_maze.shtml

    Now... for D3.
I would like to have some ULTRA-RANDOMIZED one-shot dungeon with my friends with settings like :
    - the level of my char and of my compagnions wich determine the difficulty of the dungeon
    - the "tileset" or background of the dungeon (desert; swamp; snowy; cryptic; hell'ish; antique; etc. or random)
    - the principal scenario (save someone, find something, kill some bosses, perform ritual with items, etc. random)
    - the size of the dungeon (small, medium, big, huge or random)

This is specially for having fun without having to redo all the story like in D2.
And i think this "dungeon-emulator" can be well placed in D3 with perhaps an arch-illusionist wizard NPC who can create dungeons on demands for heroes who want to train (or to have fun).
This can be the goal of a quest like in "Planescape Torment" in order to unlock this very cool feature.

Did i explain it well ? (i'm french sorry if my english not very on the top...)
What would you think about this "instant-dungeon-crawling" generator ?

posted a message on Games that changed gaming
Portal IS the way videogames should go to... videogaming as Art !

I think so about french developers team named Cryo which gave me amazing games such as Dune (the FIRST not the RTS) and Captain Blood (very old, very experimental and great) and so on.

posted a message on Blizzard: Why Corpses Vanish
Sryii : My mistake ! My source is very unofficial ! :S

The end of the Worldstone has also brought changes to demons and the demonic realms. They are now mortal, and with this knowledge, the demons are less eager to throw their lives away, as death means oblivion rather than inconvenient banishment. This new-found recalcitrance has given humanity respite from the assault. Humanity's control expands once again, and now the world is split into areas controlled by demons, and areas held by people. Humans and demons now fight for control of a landscape dotted with shards of the Worldstone.

This info is about 2003, surely wrong nowadays but it has made to much sense for me that i assimilate it as right. Sorry !

Anyway, about the vanishing corpses, just stop the physic will be enough for me as i want to have this feeling of slaughter after having bad time with hords of monsters !
Even flat pixelised bloody corpses will be enough...

the enemies are demons and creatures of hell right? so after they die the body's are dissapearing and they are going back to hell... its pretty logic to me... :)

    Very wrong.
Blizzard said that still the Worlstone is destroyed, Demons and Angels are now MORTALS, so they don't back in Hell nor Heaven when dying.
That's why (if we spot on the background/storyline) corpses should stay !

(I'll look after the source if you want)
