    http://us.battle.net...URde!ZYX!ZYZZZY

This is my barbarian's build. I call it The Berserker.

    Perks of this build:
    • No need to worry about fury
    • High critical hit damage and chance through runed abilities and passives
Essentially, the build relies on using Overpower and Revenge as much as possible (every time they are available) not only to keep up critical chance percentage boosts but also to refrain from spending fury. When Overpower and Revenge are not available, Frenzy and Cleave are available for their respective uses (that is to say, single target and AoE). Since the only ability that costs fury which this build utilizes is Battle Rage, I fully expect that this character will be at max fury 95%+ of the time, taking advantage of the Berserker Rage passive. Having Frenzy and Cleave to use when Overpower and Revenge are not available will ensure that fury can be generated when needed. The passives are centered around improving damage as much as possible in addition to improving damage output via criticals.

TLDR: This build will use Overpower and Revenge when available to keep up critical chance buffs, then use Frenzy and Cleave as appropriate. Battle Rage will be used to keep up the critical chance and damage buff. Passives taken improve critical chance and critical damage. Leap Attack is there primarily as a closer, with the added bonus of also generating fury, making it ideal for use after a Battle Rage use to quickly get closer to max fury, minimizing time not at max fury.

    Seth,

Yeah, pretty much exactly like that. I think that would go quite a way toward replayability. Especially if "completing" the chain of random quests yielded like a high quality reward if you started from the "beginning".

I think by beginning, maybe the system could have some way of figuring out where the player is starting out (what city) and putting step 1 outside of that city. And then, if the player does every random quest thereafter, a high quality is rewarded from the objective boss or chest at the end of that chain. I think that would go perfectly well with what they're trying to do in preventing "HellBaal_Run81!"

    Scyberdragon,

You should really look into becoming an artist! :) Just kiddin' with ya! (I thought the zombies part of the picture was classic) I totally agree with you, though, some elaboration / additional information about this system would go a long way in tiding my Diablo 3 hunger for a while. I'm really excited to see what they do with this system in addition to revamping the Diablo series in the myriad other ways it looks like they are trying to. I also agree with Seth's cautious nature in that I hope they're not hyping up something to look like something very revolutionary in the Diablo series and then it not be so revolutionary. I trust Blizzard though, and they've never made a game I didn't love.

What I would love to see (which I highly doubt would happen, but you never know) was random adventures that maybe affected random adventures later on. For instance, if an adventure in one area was to escort some sage or wizard who was attempting to fight some cultists trying to open a portal by stopping it's opening, and you're job was to keep him safe while he performs the sealing / anti-opening / whatever. If you succeed, maybe later on you find the same sage/wizard wanting to take the fight to the cultists, and help him take out their camp, fortress, etc. If you fail, then the gate opens and it affects how many monsters you encounter on the way to your other objectives and whatnot, and maybe later on you have to end up doing another adventure that requires you to shut down the source of these portals (i.e., that same cultist fortress, just a more monster infested, tougher version). I dunno, just brainstorming, but that sounds fun.

In all honesty, if people can't see the difference between a fictional character in a game that summons zombies and spews swarms of flies all over the place, and a real-world witch doctor, then we've got far greater problems than nominal ones. What's sad is, the only reason your concern could be a valid one is due to the profound amounts of ignorance that have plagued the human population and will allow a class name in a game to shape their view on what that is in real life. That's a statement, and not a good one, for the state of education today. However, there's no reason to make something as silly as a word completely taboo just because of unfortunate events that have taken place in the past, or the present. It's not disrespect, it's just a word. At least, it is to me. On the subject of words: People do the craziest thing to words and language. They will shun certain words and make them bad to say just because of unfortunate events in the past. The concept of profanity makes me laugh, too. To me, people saying f*ck is just as "bad" (in the uptight crazy christian sense) as saying fudge to sound clean. It honestly baffles me, because to me words are all about context. I went a bit into rambling on that one but you know what I mean, I hope.

TL;DR: It's ridiculous to get all wound up over words!

posted a message on Raid Games: Yay or Nay?
An interesting concept, but I don't think the whole raid concept works in that you're fighting one big uber bad guy. As someone mentioned earlier, a concept similar to heroics from WoW would be much for feasible. The whole "get a ton of people together to fight one guy for next 10 minutes" doesn't fit into Diablo, at all.

Personally, I love the idea of raids if by raid we could alter the definition to mean "getting a few players together to take on one of these few areas that has very hard monsters that employ some very sophisticated tactics and skillsets, but drop improved loot!"

I would love to see Battle.net pick up some features that Steam has, so then I can have all my Blizzard games digitally accessible from any machine. Keeping up with discs and cd-keys can be annoying at times and having them right there could be very handy!

I also wouldn't mind them having a sort of Premium Service option that grants access to higher quality (lower ping, more secure) servers for certain games (probably just games that release after the battle.net upgrade, maybe starting with StarCraft 2).

posted a message on Please, Blizzard, let there be a monthly fee.
I agree --- 100%. The thing that keeps me playing WoW is that they keep adding more stuff to do and it keeps me and my group of local friends supplied with fresh content as we traverse Azeroth talking about life outside the game over Ventrilo. While I would still love Diablo 3, I have a feeling I would get bored of it eventually if there was a lack of new things to do.

However, I do empathize with those who are not able to afford a monthly fee in addition to purchasing any future expansions and Diablo III itself.

It's a hard decision to make. I trust everything to Blizzard because if there's anything I can't say about them, it's that they've made a bad game. Since WarCraft I, I've been totally in love with Blizzard. They've been making the games that I've been playing and loving since I was like ten years old.

I personally say everyone needs to quit bickering amongst each other about stuff they don't like about this new Diablo III (which I, personally, am quite appalled at the negative feedback Blizzard is getting out of this --- these guys have way more experience making games than any of the fools on this board, I'm sure.) Let's just all be excited that it's on the way and that we couldn't ask for a better company to be making the game.
