What kind of stupid argument is that? Can anyone go and make their own game? Hell no. Can anyone go and mod Oblivion? Yes. So why can't a huge company like Blizzard make a side-team that would make an editor for their huge game? It could prolong the life of the game like crazy. Where do you think stuff like DotA comes from? Or even for DII we have Eastern Sun mod - that's even without a normal editor...

Editors prove that the game is more than just to sell.

i dunno how to explain it but i understand why wc3 has an editor but i don't see the need for one with diablo since its a totally different type of game, just cuz other games like diablo have one, doesn't mean diablo should, or would do better with it... as long as it doesn't affect battle.net then i dont really care at all...

we might as well make it like wc3 and we can select which map we want to play on instead of making a game which loads the whole map... like act 1 or act 2 then we can have custom maps...

i never even heard of all these other mods until now but i don't plan on trying them (i keep playing d2 even without them)

i for one don't like a world editor, but as long as it doesn't affect battle.net then i don't care

if u wanna mod and stuff why not just make ur own game and u can do what ever you like (just my idea)

I love the abuse towards blizzard for implementing something which can have very good side effects. Potions are still there, so I don't know why a lot of people are whining about how horrible globes are. They are saving you hitting one key for your potion. Secondly you have no idea about how common potions are, the globes were common yes, but he was also wearing full gothic plate and in the demo he takes 'zero' damage from the archers behind the shield bearers. He's over-geared, he's obviously going to be taking substantially less damage than someone wearing that levels gear. With the inclusion of more monsters doing 'special' attacks like the summoning from the cultists, the massive swing from the berserkers. I can see people of that level actually trying to avoid damage, whereas in d2 it's stand in the fire while spamming potions why move when you can spam your near infinite amount of potions oh wait I'm low on potions *townportal* If potions are vaulable which they might well be ie : not buyable from vendors.

Try looking at it another way as a caster you can focus on bringing mana potions in your slots rather than stacking up on hp potions, your barb / melee friend can get the globes while you drink a mana potion instead of you having to use BOTH at the end of a fight if you want to re-engage another group.

Or maybe your on very little hp, but you still have to fight this group of mobs to get a globe off them. So you actually have to think and avoid damage properly in order to take out the whole group to actually get beneft from killing them. Look at the monster mechanics, they are definatly going to work together. It's a risk/reward thing, I could waste a valuable potion and kill this group easy, or be smart about killing them and actually gain health from their death. People who enjoy playing smart and have the capacity to do so will enjoy this mechanic after trying it I'd say.

If only people would try be constructive rather than out right abuse, we might be able to actually have a conversation about something.

    agreed xD

spamming pots and standing there is lame, what i do is lose little hp use a pot and pick up another one... i sorta don't get why people are saying its so unrealistic its not like the game is so realistic already with the potions, u can use potions while ur fighting and keep chugging them and u can use them as long as u have some theres no limit...
and unrealistic skills, how bout flying hammers that goes in circles and hits everything in its path.. and teleporting.. (and just a globe of healing is gonna make it so unrealistic)
