We have every right to voice our opinions. Blizzard is not obligated to listen to us, so it can't hurt.
You are also free to completely over-react and go apesh!t over what you saw in a 20 minute video of (at most) two places from a game that is (at best) in an alpha state and probably has VERY MUCH placeholder art in it for the time being.
Anyone who has seen / followed Blizzard on other projects in the past and has seen alpha video/screens of their games knows that things change dramatically in the final processing. They are well known to use much placeholder art while they work on the CORE GAME and FUNCTIONALIY fiirst!
I'm not saying that it's not a concern. I'm saying that you guys acting like it's the end of the world, so far away from release, based on so little actual knowledge, is ridiculous.
Ya, that makes sense. The first publically released cinematic trailer for Diablo III.. builds up to a big "reveal" of.. a hydra.. Not Diablo.
Nevermind that the face looks like Diablo from the new splash screen on the websites. Nevermind the scar like / partially healed over part in his head where the soulstone would be. Nevermind the fact that perhaps the three heads is the result of whatever magic (or merger with other demons) took place to revive him without a soulstone.
I dunno guys, I just think it makes the most sense that it's him. Sorry if you disagree. I won't argue. Just throwing out some thoughts on it. We'll find out in due time.
I would like to see respecs, but in a very limited form. In such a way as to be useable for fixing mistakes, or maybe a full refit on rare occasion. Hi cost or time delays for major overhauls.
Full respecing on the fly like Guild Wars? No, no way.
But I would like to see a way to (at least) fix mistakes.
It looks like Diablo to me, albeit, missing his soulstone, which was destroyed in the cutscene (IIRC).
I was thinking that somehow he was able to be recalled, without the stone.. some other means of revitalizing/rejuvinating him. Magic,
runes, infusion of power of energy.. etc.
The area where the soulstone would be looks like a partially closed wound, with power glowing from underneath.
And let's face it, he's got to be in the game.. It is "Diablo" 3 after all. Even if it's just as simple as arriving to the place he is
being reborn just in time to kill him. You could still then have other new enemies/bosses take a larger roll in the story.
As to the only 5 classes, keep in mind it says you can choose male or female of either. Ok, so it's not going to add more skills,etc.. but I'm very glad to finally have this option.
It's not working for me yet either, or many other people on other forums I'm reading. I suspect it's not been started yet, or perhaps needs more seeders.
I thought that at first, but I didn't see any potions on his bar or in his inventory.
I agree, but it's hard to see the whole belt. Did anyone else notice when you look closely, the rightmost blank icon spot was slot 8. Counting towards the left from there, the leftmost icon would be slot 3.
Perhaps they are using 1 & 2 as health/mana potions, and 3-8 are for skills?
As I said, it's hard to see the details however, waiting to get the full screen hi res version.
you ppl piss me off.
especially you wankers who just signed up. WTF?
stop moaning about a game we've been waiting for for eight years!
I dont care who gets pist at me or whatever.
You are clearly not worthy for diabloFans.
Fuck off and play wow. Jerks.
Some people derive personal satisfaction and self worth from pissing on other peoples parades.
Best to just ignore them, becuase I stronly suspect there's going to be tons of them. Alot of people had alot invested in this game never being made. They pontificated endlessly about how foolish it would be and it would hurt Blizzard's sales because people would leave WoW, and how it'll suck without the original Blizz North people.
I thought the outside area was beautiful, and i don't get this "cartoon graphics" talk. Seriously. It's much more dark and gritty.
Wait till we can watch it in higher res/full screen/full detail before rushing to judgement on the graphics.
I also think some of the most stunning visuals are going to be from Sorc type classes. There is still much, much we haven't seen. They'll be teasing with little bits months.
For all of you saying it's cartoonish: it really isn't. It has a lot of bloom, and the way they approached the graphics generally is different. Definitly not cartoonish though.
I think once we can download the hi-res trailer and watch it that way, it'll show much much more close detail in the combat as to the gore and stuff.

Actually I won't be, said what I will for now. I like what I've seen so far. And there is obviously still much to see.

We've not seen much yet, and what I see, I like.
If you don't like it, more power to you. I'm sure it'll evolved over time. But if it never suits you, hey go ahead and enjoy whatever you enjoy.

I find the armor on the right to be much more detailed and realistic looking. The armor on that Orc looks terrible and VERY cartoonish.

They won't be letting go of any of that easily.

Ditto, I wouldn't be suprised if a remaining caster only had two elements, like cold and lightning.

Right on the webpage, in the FAQ, etc.
