I keep hearing about how amazing LK is......I did all the raids in Pre BC at 60 and all the BC raids, so id have to be a raider again in LK....but im far behind now since i havent even got the expac lol
Yeah. WotLK was definitely amazing. They improved upon the game in every way. The quests weren't boring anymore and at least 2 chains in each zone ended with an in-game scripted event involving the Lich King. One even ended in an in-game cinematic that was epic beyond belief. The story is VERY evident in WotLK and there's a lot of lore that they added. It's great.
The only reason I quit was just because every couple months I get burnt out of WoW and need something else to do.
I never raided pre-BC even though I've been playing since the first stress test. I just couldn't concentrate on one char long enough to get it to 60.
In BC I cleared through 2/6 Sunwell.
I only raided a little bit in LK so far because I pretty much hit 80, played for a week or two, and then quit.
Oh, and concerning Runes of Magic:
It's a pretty great game for a free game. It's VERY reminiscent of WoW, but with it's own little twists. I just re-downloaded it today. If anyone wants to tell me their char name and server they play on, maybe we can play?
I'm eagerly awaiting Darkfall. I think it'll be a nice break away from typical MMORPGs, since they've taken away instances, classes, and leveling (everything is skill-based). My only hope is that it doesn't flop, because Darkfall has the potential to be something fantastic.
Of course, Diablo 3 and The Sims 3 are also on my list. Yay.
I'm awaiting Darkfall as well. But, I am really starting to worry if it's going to be that great or not. I mean, the features they have promised sound AWESOME. But I don't want it to be like Age of Conan. Age of Conan was fun for a little bit, but once you got to a certain level it kind of just... stopped. lol Plus, the fact that I'd have to play on EU servers until they release it in NA a couple months later would just suck.
This is my first time posting, but I've been reading around these forums for a very long time.
Anywho, I really did love what I saw in the gameplay video for Diablo III. Although, I have to agree, it doesn't give the same kind of "dark" and "evil" feel as Diablo I and II. The art design, in my opinion, did not match Warcraft or World of Warcraft in terms of cartoon-style graphics, but they seemed to sway that way. I think that all the game needs right now is the use of a few darker colors to make it have a more gothic feel. Either way though, I'll be happy with what Blizzard puts out.
Also, this may have just been the video quality, but everything seems to be blurred. =/
Just saw the poll now. I agree with some of the other people in this thread, the altered gameplay screenshots looked absolutely amazing. I voted "it needs more work".

Second, the Paladin in Warcraft 3 was pretty commonly accepted as one of the worst heroes as a human. Archmage all the way.

But my list is:
1. Darkfall
2. Prototype
3. Left 4 Dead SDK (does that count? lol)
4. Starcraft 2
5. Halo Wars
6. Final Fantasty XIII (although according to this article: http://www.joystiq.com/2009/01/15/reuters-final-fantasy-xiii-coming-2009-to-japan-overseas-after/ it's coming to NA in 2010)
And that's really all I can think of off the top of my head. I didn't put Diablo 3 on there because I highly doubt it will be released this year.
