I didn't realize class specific items were confirmed? On 18/25 from the french site it says "Barbarian" on the weapon. Also, do you think 21/25 is the ingame character-screen? Its almost too simple for my taste

Yeah, it wouldn't be a problem to download it from let's say a site run by evil sailors, but my crappy mobile broadband has a 12 GB limit, and I'm already pushing it! Ended up with at mix of your suggestions, found a NOCD, but it wouldn't work in 64-bit so I had to run it in Dosbox to get it working. I also had to use v1.00 because the graphics got messed up in 1.09b for some reason. I then had to copy the CD to disk and change the CD-path in the registry, so much work! After getting it to work in my desktop without a CD it was just a matter of copying the whole thing over on a USB and exporting the CD-path entry in the registry from my desktop to my laptop. Sadly though, my laptop had some major performance issues with the game.

This sounded too complex, but just wrote it up in case someone else has this issue, and no immediate access to the... uhm... cove.

In the FAQ it says they will start of by testing hardware in North America and that others might experience some lag in the beginning. But I get the impression that they will test hardware in other regions in the beta as well, which basically means more servers. I'm not saying there will be a whole lot, but at least more than one

www.blizzard.com doesn't load on my thin client at work so I can't check that now, but feel free to do so and check if I missinterpretet it.

So, topic says it all really. Have just started my (insert high number here)-playtrough of D1 on my desktop, but I really want to continue on my laptop. Problem is, my lappy doesn't have a CD ROM-drive so I can't install it from my old CD. How to best solve this?

I could always find a pirated version, but I'm trying to avoid it.

Blizz should really let you download D1 from b.net, like if you own D2 or soon D3. Same goes for WC1, it would be nice to have all my blizzgames available online.

It's working fine here in Norway, you would think it's the same with you guys. But GG proxy!

I'm going to have a (beta)eer now, sit back, and enjoy. Let the revelations commence!

Actually it seems there is a group of some sort, but if they are what ABB says they are is something else entirely. Every group he claims to have been an "important" part of has come out and said he was a nobody or that they don't know this man at all. Today it's one week since the attack at the core of our very nation, and things are slowly starting to get back to normal up here. As everyone is pointing out, it would largely depend on the type of skill. A frozen orb kind of skill would be useless with a large cooldown, but it makes sense to have longer cooldowns on skills that last a while. Still, I voted 1 min basically because I feel "less cooldown = more action"

Now I just have to kill meph a gazillion times until it comes out, but I know it will be well worth it!
