What is the most embarassing thing you died by.. Mine was I just got done killing mephisto it was a long gruling battle... ( i was a sorcress.) My bodyguard basically died in a hit.. me and meph were having an all out magic war... his cold balls/lightning... vs my frozen orb/tele... after about 5 minutes i finally got to kill him... and as i was going to pick up loot... out of NOWHERE... a stupid little EVIL SPIRIT that looked like a sword appeared and smacked me in the face and killed me... i was so pissed i didnt play diablo II for the rest of the day.
Basically everything that the guy above me said... Get a holy freeze merc and equip him with a unique fusicna if you ever get one (it slows down enemies by 75% INCLUDES BOSSES).. you will notice a huge diffrence...Thats what a sorcress is all about... Its about killing things fast and making things slow because your so unprotected.
Also i might reccomend starting over and making a meteorb sorcress... This is the best sorcress to make single player PVM. Put 1 skill telekenis, 1 teleport, 1 static field, 2 warmth, 20 frozen orb, 1 cold mastery, 20 meteor, 20 fire mastery, 20 fireball, the rest fire bolt (i think its called... the first spell you learn on fire tree.)
For cold immunes in hell use meteor, For fire immunes use frozen orb, for lightning/poison/phyiscal/magic immunes take ur pick... I generally like frozen orb because it can be spammed and its pretty overpowered... For bosses use static field to get its hit points down to 1/4 hp... then use meteor and frozen orb combos to finish them off.
Also For andariel you can cheat and jsut use meteor and not even be touched... Just teleport through the last door to get to her (make sure the door is closed)... kill all the minons then lure her to the door... teleport to the other side... then cast meteor right by the door.. Andariel is weak to fire and drops FAST..... and you don't have to deal with her bugged poison damage in hell.. It's the oldest trick in the book but its damn sure effective!
If you want to go to hell METEORB works wonders.... I have a sorcress and she beat the game easy solo. Easily the most overpowered build i have played pvm. (THen again i never tried hammerdin.)
Ok many of people have said that Hell meph can only drop in the lvl 75ish or lower lvl requirments... And if you want any higher you have to go fight pindle/baal. Yet I just did a Hell Meph run and got Andariels Visage (lvl 83 requirm)... SO i am just a little confused. Can someone help me maybe i misunderstood?
Oh thanks i never knew that... I also beat the game on my barb but never ran across waypoint so the portal was still there after i beat hell difficutly... Kind of makes me wish i didnt get waypoint... can Nithalak still drop the windforce?
Ok so i just beat hell difficutly on my bowazon and for some reason after i beat it Anyas portal (to get to pindleskin) dissapeared??? Wtf I wanted to do some pindle runs with MF items and now I have to go to halls of vault and work my way all the way back up.. Such ridicoulous..
What do you think is the best spell in Diablo II. Also what is your favorite.
I think the best spell is static field by the sorceress... She cast it on any non Lightning immunes... and espically on bosses and drains their hitpoints fast... Yes she cant kill anything with it but she can get their hp down where you can give a finishing blow with another spell of your choice.
My favorite spell however has to be the Necromancer's Corpse Explosion... I love when there is a pack of monsters and you and your summons kill one then you cast it... then another one dies... then you cast it... then another one dies... Just the whole dominio effect... Only bad thing about it is it really doesn't help you out on bosses and you need to kill something to use it.
Looks like Witchdoctor will be my favorite class... He is like the Necromancer and he was my favorite class in D2. I also hope that they will make a pure magic class (they would be stupid not to) like the sorceress because those were fun too..
Witch Doctor is sexy to i promise... and Shapeshifiting is a good idea for the fifth class.. I always thought that the barbarian and the paladin were to similar in D2 for some reason so i hope they dont have another "Party Leader"... ~waits to get bashed by the Paladin fans~
