Wow, thank you Gangus, that is crazy. I'm glad we didn't try anything like this at the higher levels. I'll just have to roll multiple characters in hardcore to play with him and try to keep close to his level. I refuse to play SC in any aspect just because I don't get enjoyment if there is no death penalty.

Hello, I just got the Xbox One Ultimate Evil edition game and leveled up a Crusader to 27 on Hardcore. I went to play a game with my friend who just created a fresh co op character by selecting his name on the main menu and clicking "Join Party". He was rolling along on Normal Difficulty until I came in the room and he was promptly 1-shot killed by some standard enemy.

I'm guessing the game scaled up the enemies to match my gear or level, is that right?

Is there any way for me and my friend to play together unless we're within 5 levels of each other or am I out of luck? It's one thing for the game to scale up the health of enemy mobs by whatever percent, but it also appears to be scaling up the damage, which is insurmountable for my friend.

Any help would be appreciated! Not sure if people have a way to play that I'm not aware of when we're at different levels like this.
