Diablo 3 was a 2012 game but hearthstone is a 2013 game at least. The sign was there i assume before hearthstone revealed.It was a small hint.The next day we got a hint via overwatch that cain lives.Perhaps in this year blizzcon we might see an expansion for D3 that has an act 6 in which a task is to save cain ... again. We clearly cannot save him, but we can save his soul, and maybe something could happen where Tyrael becomes an angel again, with a new body mightier than Imperius, and Cain can use Tyraels body as a vessel. This allows the Horadrim to rein eternal.

It would be a way for Tyrael to help keep the issues at bay, both demons and the nephalim.

Regarding the tweet, That looks a lot like one of the portions of a map in Act 2 where there are bone walls surrounding the path to the center where a chest is located. You open the chest and skeletons attack. However, I do think that these cain lives comments may shed light on the future of our game, and though I understand my scenario is extreme, I do not think trying to save Cain's soul is extreme.

How about this? We save Cain's soul and he becomes the new aspect of Wisdom!!

It should/could be, but not necessarily. It can just be a really big content patch. One new zone the size of greyhollow and a new class. You can call that a patch. Of course you can't charge money for it if it's not an expansion.
Although I really love when people say that: we will get this and that like it's a fact. Truth is, we don't know a thing. We are just guessing. We might get a patch like 2.3 which gave us Secheron and Kanai's cube.
We might get an expansion, an HD remake for I and II plus a Diablo IV. Or anything in between.

Did you even play vanilla? Then play ROS? The game will change a ton with an expansion, they know they have a few issues to work out to make this game long standing like D2.

While the builds changed a lot and there is *slightly* more to do in RoS than vanilla, the game hardly changed. Instead of getting bored within 1 week, you get bored within 2 weeks in RoS. That's not much of an improvement.

Your comment is completely off base and just wrong. It just proves you DID NOT play vanilla.

Also, expansions can introduce engine improvements as well, as most expansions do, fixing some of the current lag limitations we have with a variety of builds. To me, that is the biggest reason to launch an expansion, D3 has much of what it needs to be a long self standing game, but it needs an overhaul to the density lag, which has been improved a ton for solo, but still falls behind in group play.

I think they are going to release another expansion to tide the game over until Diablo 4, remember the big gap between 2 and 3? They wont say anything about D4 this year because there still looking for a concept artist.

Torchlight, Path Of Exile, Diablo 2 Mods (median, anni etc.), Titan Quest (it recently had an anniversary update & expansion which is cool), Grim Dawn, The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing, Marvel Heroes.

Personally played all of these, only one I couldn't really get on with Marvel Heroes but a lot like it.. Otherwise, played and enjoyed them all. Good fun and very diablo-like.

whatever the case may be im a diablo fan through and through.if they come out with new classes great ill pay for it. if they make d4 awesome ill buy it. I still have hope for the diablo universe.hang in there fans trust me diablo has not forgot about us.

What I had in mind was just a new layout zones for GR. You won't miss them so much if a player hasn't bought them - there won't be special gold chests in them etc.. Remember we are talking about not a pay to win microtransactions. But just imagine how more fun the game would be if there are new layouts/mobs one can buy. All dedicated players will have them. If you play with a friend who misses them, you could gift them to him.

Why D3 hasn't gone the cosmetic microtransactions road is unknown to me. PoE crew are printing money with these on a game that looks worse than D2.
