I liked the difficulty ramp we had in D2 but I can understand some kind of characters had more troubles with immune and/or some kind of nasty aura/skill combo in Hell.
Mostly this affected single players (i played mainly sp) so could be a good idea tho fix this problem.
But I still loved the game and rarely had to exit and reload to avoid a peculiar enemy.
I was also used to die often

About the number of characters it seems to me that in the gameplay video the voice says "one of several classes" and not "one of five classes" which let me think they may be more than five.

They have always been in diablo world and always will be, I think.
I like the idea to have many kinds of them and hope there will be the two more kind as hinted in their page.

Knowing all the monsters before the game is released would take away much of the fun.
Same for the items.
I'd like some more news about the gameplay.
