I've actually planed the same gear setup and after 5K shards some random elite droped IK belt. I went ahead and mixed IK+Raekor then decided to itimize for fire dmg to benefit from 360% weapon dmg on Ancients hit (since it's a single target that Raekor have problems with and Vile Ward won't fix it). Imagine my surprise when i saw Ancients doing less dmg then my WD's fire dog aoe aura (and she's far from being top geared)... Worth mentioning that fetishes pump out the same dmg numbers but faster and single 15 sec Gargantuan is worth more then Ancients wailing on enemy for a minute.
Rage on hit rune is essentially useless since Raekor provide insane amount of rage.The only usefull rune is probably 50% dmg split complimented by gem turning pets immortal, but then again why we would want to spend essentially 4 gear slots (3 IK + Rorg) and gem for something we can get with a simple unity?
tldr: Without a proper buff to ancients (they deserve it imo) mixing them with Raekor or Earthen Might will be complelty useless.
They looks pretty good on ptr, but i got the idea.
Will be happy, if someone actually plays ptr and can test this up. On a paper it seems pretty good. I was interesting in Raekor set+Immortal king set + VIle ward. That basicly mean, you can get all these sets only if you use that Boulderbreaker.
to be honest, i do have a very nice boulder breaker BUT i don't like to use it. i'd rather use maximus. my suggestion is to use two 1-hand weapons.
anyway if you're anticipating the changes on 2.1, go for cold damage and use either azurewrath, utar's roar and fjord cutter for your weapons. these weapons are really good for whirlwind and seismic slam if you will choose to stick with cold.
i'm planning to shift from lightning to cold once the 2.1 starts. i have all the necessary weapons and armors in my stash.
I am not a fan of WW. Well after all we will see about this boulder breaker. Because if it will be working as i think, i might reroll into barb once more.
I am really dont know about boulder braker. Is it going to be a nice weapon after all? I will be pretty happy to see that. Really want to see if that buffs goin go be enough. Also 10-15% to chage on 2handed Mighty Weapon looks good.
Ive been playing with this build for 2-3 weeks dual wielding not 2- handed. It is the only way actually since 300th spear is 1hand weapon and mine had 47% to throw.
You dual wield with Doombringer . The fury generation is incredible with charge+ ancients fury. I had 187 fury and it took 3-4 seconds to go from empty to full. With a generator like bash and ancients ur single dmg is good too. I had 70% area dmg and of course bloodshed. Highest hit i saw in solo play was 280 Mil and in grp play 400Mil Crits. In t5 u can one shoot many elite grps , in T6 2 shoot.
The whole build needs some time to get used to , since it might feel clunky but when u get the hang of it is awesome.
You should give it a shoot , but dont do it before u have 300th Spear and Doom bringer.
I was looking for some PTR builds with Raekor and Immortal King set combos. I am really want to know about using that boulder braker after 2.1 2handers buff.
I understand the change will not really have an impact on us, they boost 2H weapons by 23-26% and reduce de damage we do with heavenly strength by 20%. But that got me wondering, and there may be some theorycrafter out here that could come with something up:
What if we drop the shield, and trade Heavenly Strength for an other passive ? Could we see any 2H - shieldless build ? Or do we lose too much without a shield?
I don't think Blizzard will let that happen, but with the current proposed change I could see someone coming up with something clever.
What are your thoughts ? Any build idea ?
This 20% damage reduction comes from 2handers up. They got more damage now, so you will get even more damage then now from a good rolled 2hander. I dunno how you see crusader without shield.
I don't think for now you need to change something. Then 2.1 will step live and you get ramaladny gift, you can reroll socket into cdr and give socket with it. Actually i get crimson set belt+boots or pants and reapers wraps if i were you. If you have akkhan helm ofcource.
I'm doing T1 so far haven't tried anything higher because I sometimes struggle with certain elite packs and have the feeling I am all in all very slow in progressing through a rift.
Also I have problems with my wrath, going away way too fast.
I am currently gambling to get Akkhan Boots but so far no luck... should I rather go for the chest and keep the Captain's set? (Very happy with that Cindercoat though).
Any advice is appreciated.

Crimson set is far too good with akkhan in any build, so i defenetly keep it. Also with permanent Akarath Champion there is no need in Cindercoat for darklight build. You will have enough wrath to spare. Also, you should defenetly get a shield with critchance + cdr. Reroll allres on helm into critchance and get critchance+ critdamage amulet. You lost so much damage on your gear.
