Quote fromHey, that's not nice. Flagship wasn't fail. Roper was just in denial that Hellgate was boring. Flagship Seattle actually had some brains (Mythos would've killed WoW. I'm serious, I've played both, and Mythos was better.)
As did I. Mythos was an amazing game, but let's be real; it would not have killed WoW.
Only thing that will kill WoW is another Blizzard MMO, but that's off-topic.

Winner, winner, chicken dinner.

Also, Archie, it's completely unfair to call this game a copy of Diablo 3. This development team had a game already created before Flagship got closed down - called Mythos - that was outstanding. They made Torchlight in 11 months with a 30 man team and are going to make an MMO based off it (single player was just there to introduce people to the world).

However, it's a complete joke to have a big ass advertisement take up the entire damn background of the main page. This is exactly the bullcrap that makes people hate the new changes and be wary of the new administration. This is a Diablo fansite and now we have some big ass advertisement for a competing game (even if it is awesome) taking up the whole background. You can cry site costs all you want, but the fact remians this site was here a LONG time before huge ass ads for other games took over the background. So what are you going to tell me next, that the past admins farted out fairy dust to pay for the site costs?
Someone's analogy of a large corporation taking over a small company is perfect.

That's actually a really good analogy. I was wondering what I could compare it to, and that's perfect. Community fan site overtaken by a Network that covers several games; complete with the generic cookie-cutter skin that suits their other game sites.
All we now is some South Park referencing:
Also, goodbye Silver.

Yes, but I'm also assuming it was him that gave (probably sold?) the site to Curse. Don't quote me on that or anything but I'm just inferring that from the post. If he hadn't done that he never would've gotten removed and everything would've stayed the same. That's what I meant, I don't get why he handed it over or whatever to them in the first place. Now we have a cookie cutter design that falls in with their other sites and upper level leadership that wasn't even around during the sites creation or high time in activity. It's not really an insult to the new owners because I'm sure they're all good people, but it's just weird, different, and not "homely" like it was. (and in case anyone's wondering based on my join date, I had a different account on here that was registered in 06)

Oh no, you're going to have a matchmaking system! Woe is the computer gaming world.

Haha, jk. But seriously. It says "SONY PICTURES" at the bottom. It's just a viral marketing campaign. C'mon people.
