posted a message on Greater Rifts not rewarding enough
I would personally like to see a bit more crafting materials drop from the grift guardians but that just coming from a fresh off the lot season character. Probably just being greedy. other than that grifts have felt extremely rewarding. 1-3 legendaries from the guardian ever 15 or so min works for me.

Why is it so many humans cannot grasp the word random.

Have you tried cooking up some "scientific data" on lottery numbers, im sure if you look hard enough, you will see a pattern that will make you rich.
I'll give you a few reasons.

    1. random for computers is never random. there is an algorithm out there generating this and it's completely reasonable to try and find patterns in the code.

    2. there is no reason to believe this randomness is strictly a simple roll. there easily can be factors that we don't know aobut playing the back ground that could be playing factors into these random rolls.

Where is the option for more goblin rate? You have to cover all your options if you want an effectve, successful poll.
i didn't put more goblin rate in because it feels fairly common to find goblins already. i don't really have the curiosity of if people want more goblins. no offense.

yes im sure they do have the same loot table as elites, but they are more rare than elites. im just looking for a more rewarding feeling. making higher drop chances and spawn less often can accomplish this goal.

also the goblin is anything but a walking Resp chest. Resp chest drop almost guaranteed 4 items. granted mostly rares, but they still feel way different.

Ive always wanted this since vanilla.

    Treasure Goblin King.

A really fat greedy goblin that's extremely rare to find and fights back with random CC effects, but when found and killed he will explode into at least 1 legendary with a bunch of gems, mats, and other things.
i'm down for this, there is that sorta rare unique goblin that exists too. but he drops the same loot as the regular ones.

i get what your saying, but they just feel like it's not the right reward for killing something that is 'rare' ish.

are you really in a place where one extra gem is going to be a welcome surprise. or that 1 extra veiled crystal is make or break?

    I do. :D

But I favor just more "treasure" as in gold/gems...
i'll be honest, i'm ok with this a little.like i said originally im perfectly content with the number of legendaries i'm finding. before and after the buff. i just want the treasure goblin excitement back instead of, look a walking pack of crafting mats.

can i add a poll at this point? i didn't pay enough attention i guess when making this. haha

Ah there we go. do you think i should include increased drops in the poll?

Over the course of playing RoS, i have been having a spectacular time. I look forward to my time to play, i try to get my lame friends who are quitting to stick around. But one of my complaints have been Treasure Goblins. I feel like i find a large number of them but they tend to almost exclusively drop crafting mats, and rarely anything decent.

Before you get all enraged, i am NOT asking for them to drop legendaries every time. i actually am completely comfortable with the drop rates, and ecstatic with the buff remaining. The truth is i would rather find much fewer goblins around and have them feel more rewarding. I remember when i first started playing D3, and they were a time everyone grouped up, made sure their stuff was off CD (on times we were under geared or pushing new difficulties of MP) so that we could make sure they weren't getting away. I want that difficulty to present itself again. in t4 solo i can kill the goblin with just a resource bar of Cluster Arrows for some crafting mats. Doesn't feel like treasure.

is this a very minor issue? probably. but i would be curious to see if others have the same opinions.
lets make an assumption that by more difficulty i also include more loot. but leave a comment if you want to specify more loot with the same difficulty.

    • same goblin rate, same difficulty
    • same goblin rate, more difficulty
    • less goblin rate, same difficulty
    • less goblin rate, more difficulty

    thats the point
so the reaction to something being 'required' is to essentially get rid of it? WRONG. balancing it not taking OP and making it go away. the correct thing it to actually balance them. figure out a way to make it useful but not overly useful.

literally 0 people find the nephalem glory stacks to be a thing that need 2 extra stacks.

i would like to state that i said this like 5 hours ago. i don't think it was a typo, it might have been a vague oversight on their part. but you should be able to get all legendaries in the game from kadala and torment caches

i still disagree, but only time will tell after people start reporting finds from caches or not. There has been weeks if not months of confirmations that Caches gained in Torment will drop Torment Only legendaries. but again, we will have to wait and see.

posted a message on The horadric caches "buff" question
my assumption is that the patch notes have an oversight. they have been stating for months that torment caches (T1-T6) will start dropping torment only legendaries starting with 2.0.5. I would venture to say that this has been put in and that T1 will drop legendaries at the normal rate while including Torment only as well. and then T2-T6 will increase respectively in drop rates.

RoRG is not a torment only legendary, i have gotten 2 from normal caches. If RoRG is what your hunting normal is faster, if you want torment only t1 is 'faster' but potentially not as efficient depending on your gear (just trial test and see how many t1 chaches vs t2 vs .. you get and calc your legendary drop rate for 10/25/50/100 of each difficulty cache).

as far as the previous mention of people getting torment only legendaries. there have always been things that sneak through, and there is a potential for a bug. the fact that for a long time there were many BLUEs that didn't have a complete list or weren't confident in their list of torment only legendaries feed this a bit more as well.

Caches have never and i have never heard of a cache drop a Torment Only legendary. 2.0.5 (today) is the patch that allows that. as well for kadala to drop them.

The first change is to allow the caches to drop Torment-only Legendary items. The second is to increase the chance that you’ll find a Legendary item in Horadric Caches, including Act-specific Legendaries like the Royal Ring of Grandeur, based on the Torment difficulty. -Grimiku
