I cannot be the only one that thinks whining about not being able to get on the PTR is downright pathetic, can I?
Has it occurred to any of you that they don't really want 60% of the playerbase testing? Has it occurred to any of you that they don't want people getting on just to play with the new toys, that they actually want serious, concerted testing being done by a limited group?

Jamoose posted a message on PTR 2.1.2 - Why PTR Buffs Are Bad (Video)You guys don't seem to realise that it's a PTR... they are not interested in everyone logging in and having fun. No one gives a shit about your experience on a PTR so get over it.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
The only thing i slightly agree about is that people get used to crazy drop rates and then live will feel boring to them but that's a non-issue tbh. -

ruksak posted a message on This blizzcon...So because they didn't announce another expansion only 6 months after the last one, it was "lackluster"? Seriously guys? What did you expect? A new act? lol....it's been 6 months. They have a litany of critical issues to address, and they vigorously attacked many of them.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Blizzcon far exceeded my expectations. I expected a brief review of season 1, talk about critical issues and what they wish to do going forward. Maybe a peek at a few new season 2 items. Nothing more. But the entitlement here. My garsh.
Are we really doing this? Expecting a major for-sale expansion every 6 months? C'mon.
I'm disappointed they didn't outright remove trials. A terrible, broken aspect of Grifting that doesn't come close to accomplishing what it's supposed to. I was disappointed that they didn't remove ALL pylons from Grifts. This isn't Super Mario Brothers. Players shouldn't be treated to power-ups in a competitive tier of the game. There's nothing "strategic" about them.
But overall, very surprised they had such a long list of implementations. Some of you are being thick and entitled, very unrealistic about this. -

"Cannot do anything"?Quote from AlbatareExcept that now you cannot do anything without a set, i mean try to play mage or DH without firebird or marauder
I just started my season Friday evening. I play Monk. Not a single Sunwuko piece yet. A Monk without Sunwuko is pretty limited, but what I can do is play the damn game. Found a rather nice Flying Dragon already and an RoRg, but that's about it. Still, I can do Grifts up to 20, farm Torment 4 bounties/rifts and continue to plink away until I do get my Sunwuko parts, but I'm the last motherfucker you'll hear crying about not being able to select Sunwuko parts off the Kadala store shelf.
Play the game, the items will come, eventually. As it should be. -

Bagstone posted a message on paragon points VS paragon talent tree pointsHow exactly does a skill tree improve anything? I don't get it. What I like about the current system is no limits. I can combine anything, no matter how stupid it is. I spent several hours combining several spells on my Crusader, and there are a lot of awesome undiscovered specs. The problem is just that the survivability of 6 piece Akkhan's makes all of them feel a bit useless once you've created a decent Stampede Crusader.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Diablo 3 had skill trees initially - but they got removed during development because they didn't feel well about it. I fully support that design decision and it was definitely the right move. Just as an example: right now, Witch Doctors are trying out different ways to play on GR48+ in groups. From full zDPS CC spec to full pet DPS I've seen everything. That is only possible because you have no restriction, no skilltree. With a skill tree, you could not shift skills on a continuum between support and DPS, but only go full in either direction. The full support build with Tiklandian Visage might actually not even be possible, as it's something that combines abilities in a very "unusual" way.
In my opinion, the basics of the skill system are absolutely awesome. We need some tweaks (give the barbarian a single target spell; re-think the wizard class entirely, especially the now absolutely useless channeling spells, and so on) but overall the basics are there - what needs attention are other aspects (a lower CDR cap to avoid cheesy immortality/perma-CC tactics, tackle the dominance of certain sets that kills diversity for many classes, get rid of Conduits in GRs, allow people to be able to mitigate damage on GR45+ with reasonable toughness, and so on). But the return of a skill tree changes nothing.
P.S.: I personally think that paragon benefits are too high. I mainly play support classes, so my own paragon level is kind of irrelevant, but I see a clear correlation when teaming up with people between paragon level and GR progress, when the gear is exactly the same. If you want to talk about changes to paragon, they should make the benefits smaller. -

Lesh posted a message on Sentries Nerf In The Works?since you are calling people morons and seem to know everything about the DH class you should be in the top 10...its so easy with M6; so please post your profile I went to see your leetness.Posted in: Demon Hunter: The Dreadlands
Second you are not FORCED to use M6 or any other item in the game. You are crying for no reason, in life and in games most of the time there is a BEST and if you want to be on the leader board you will have to use the BEST. that happens to be M6 for DH.
Yes some classes have more options and if that floats your boat play those classes instead. -

Jamoose posted a message on Sentries Nerf In The Works? You are not taking into account the build up time to get 4/5 sentries out. A Raekor barb has higher burst damage against packs, Wizards are clearing like 2 levels lower than DH on leaderboards, every top group has demon hunters but they are also using other classes. Different classes / builds will take different rolls especially in higher GR simply due to the fact that everything one shots you so you need insane tanking, CC and DPS.Posted in: Demon Hunter: The Dreadlands
Sure M6 is relatively OP but not as much as people make it sound. the bigger problem here is the GR design... I mean, what did people expect when they knew that GR mob damage will scale this way? It was obvious that kiting will be the way to go at least untill people figure some stuff out.
I think the real outcry here should be to fix the other classes and not nerf the DH because even though most of you don't think so, but playing m6 DH on high GR is quite challenging and is not as easy as it might look on some of the YT videos where people clear a lvl 40 GR with the easiest mob / affix combo ever... You need to avoid like 100% of the damage so character placement and movement, sentries placement and skill timing all come into play. If you give 100 people end game M6 gear, 90% of them won't get past GR 35 in my opinion.
Still, i can understand a nerf on sentries in terms of how far do you have to be for them to still shoot or directly on their range or whatever but i really don't think that will solve anything... Even if they made sentries shoot only if you are 20 yards away from them, you can just reroll the GR untill you get an indoor level where you can place sentries and hide behind corners.
TLDR: M6 not as op as people think. Other builds have higher burst damage. They need to buff other classes. The nerf to sentries should probably only involve their range or the distance you have to be from them so they can shoot and even then that won't really solve anything therefore buffing the other classes is the optimal option. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.
