My name is Kadem. I'm the Leader of Clan Caedas. We were a World of Warcraft guild many years ago. And now, we are a Diablo 3 clan. Most of our current players are novices or only mildly experienced. And this is fine. Why? Because if you're in the same boat as us, we welcome you! No level req's. No sheet DPS req's, no Paragon req's.
We accept both Hardcore and Softcore characters.
Yes, there is a brief application that needs to be done (mostly through interview in tells), but this is to weed out unsavory characters more than anything.
What we offer:
- A great community. Those who are in the leadership for Caedas have known each other and been gaming for probably at least a combined 50 years. We are friendly. We are sociable. We have all been in guild/clan leadership in several games before. We know how it works.
- Consistent weekly scheduled events. Drunken Rift Raids, Brawling Nights, Lessons on Classes (when we get more experience/experienced members), Alt powerleveling sessions, and more inventive things as we come up with them. Share your ideas!
- A ventrilo server. It's open use for members. You're welcome to bring your friends in. However, our officers reserve the right to use their banhammers if you or your friends are being disruptive or are harassing people.
- Nearly always someone to play with. We love groups and meeting new people. Hop in, ask to join someone!
What is expected of you:
- You must be at least 17 years of age. Please do not lie about this. We are a mature community.
- Somewhat regular attendance. Clans are capped at 150 people. As such, we'd like to keep it open for active people. We understand things come up. But if we haven't seen you online in roughly a month or so, you may be removed.
- Ability to use Ventrilo: For some of our groups, Ventrilo will be required. You wont have to have a mic, but you'll at least have to listen. Not to mention, a lot of our players hang out in vent, you'll find a lot of the conversations happen there.
- We are all adults. As such, we wont censor people. However, we ask that you use common sense. Do not harass or verbally abuse your guild-mates (or anyone for that matter). It can and most likely will result in your immediate removal from the clan.
- Participation: No. This does not mean that you must attend every event. Or even most of them. But you wouldn't be joining a clan if you didn't want community. If you never attend anything of ours, or join any open groups, then you taking up a slot on our roster is rather pointless.
Caedas currently runs with the leader and three officers. Only those of officer rank or higher can put guild-wide events up on the calendar. However, open groups should always be encouraged.
We are also in the market for Class Leaders. There will be 1 per class for now, perhaps more if we grow bigger. These are people who have advanced knowledge of the class for which they are assigned. Class Leaders must be someone who plays often, who is therefore available often to give advice. Class Leaders must always keep an open line for whispers or clan chat for fellow members who have questions pertaining to that class.
