That's why you need a max level buddy to powerlevel you. It will take maybe 10 minutes to get you to 70. Ask around on the forums or the D3 reddit. There are lots of people willing to help.

If you end up soloing I can give a couple pointers. #1 is keep your weapon up-to-date with your level. Your sword may be legendary, but it's 10 levels too low. Weapon DPS is the main part of your damage. #2 is don't try to make a popular build until you hit max level and have a set bonus to back it up. WW and Rend are pretty useless for leveling. Use a Primary skill as your main attack (one that generates rage) and a spender like Seismic Slam or Hammer of the Ancients as your secondary attack (a rage spender).

Pretty much the only thing that matters below level 70 is GETTING to level 70. That's when you can start gathering set pieces and putting together a functional build. Until then, just do whatever makes it easiest to level up!

Try to get someone on the forums to grind you to 70. It literally takes minutes now running T6 at full speed with a max-level buddy.

(Assuming you meant seasonal? That's the one you linked)

posted a message on Gems for Rend build

I'm wondering if Taeguk is really worth it for the 6IK/2WW Lamentation Rend build. It seems like I can hardly keep the stacks above the mid-20's before everything I am fighting is dead or I run out of rage. On rift bosses it's almost useless. It worked like a champ when I ran HOTA and I could keep it up the whole rift, but with the Rend build it is way less reliable.

Is Pain Enhancer good for Rend build also? The bleed is nice but I'm wondering if the attack speed even helps?

Curious because these are the gems I see every Rend build running, and they don't seem that great unless I am missing something.

posted a message on Give up HOTA for perfect IK BB?

Cool thanks for the advice. I have everything except CoE but I'll fish for one of those next. HOTA is just the first build I had enough pieces of to start running fully so I've been sticking with that, but I think this BB is nice enough to switch for.

(I have both BKs but non-ancient and pretty crappy rolls)

posted a message on Give up HOTA for perfect IK BB?

So I've got nearly all the pieces I need for my HOTA build and I'm pushing GR50, when a near-perfect ancient IK Boulder Breaker drops. I have a "decent" non-ancient Gavel, but I am hitting a wall at GR50 due to lack of DPS.

Is there a build that can push as good/better than HOTA using this new IK BB? How does something like 6WW/4IK compare? I am hesitant to change because I would have to use my one gift on the BB. If the build won't be as competitive, I wasted my gift and then I don't have it for when a perfect Gavel or BK weapon drops.

tl;dr: Is a full HOTA set with a mediocre Gavel still better than 6WW/4IK (or other build) with a perfect ancient BB?

posted a message on LpFS for HOTA build?

I'm currently using Cindercoat (mainly for the +fire%). I'm guessing maybe I would be better off using the IK chest and ditch RoRG in cube? That way my hammers would be full cost.

posted a message on LpFS for HOTA build?

I recently got the last pieces I needed to start messing with the HOTA build (bracers) so I switched from SS. However, I had to downgrade from a nice Ancient Skorn with 1400+ vit, to a non-ancient Gavel with no vit (but with LpFS that I can't roll off). I went all purple gems and rolled Life % where I could, but I'm still feeling rather squishy. I'm using Together As One, but no Unity yet.

I am wondering if Life per Fury Spent is worthwhile for HOTA. I spam Hammer quite fast, and what LpFS is on the Gavel seems to help. Is it worth switching Life % on belt (and any other places I can get it)? With Relentless, it seems like I could heal up very quick. Problem is I am saving up souls to try re-rolling the Gavel so I don't want to spend a bunch of souls unless this is a good idea.

posted a message on Please help me..........

Ditch the crafted sets and go for a class set ASAP. You have some really rare gear and fairly high paragon so I'm sure you have at least most of an IK or Wastes set by this point. The crafted sets are nice starting out and have some decent survival bonuses, but you will never get into higher GRs without the ridiculous damage buffs that come from a 6-piece class set. Get a socket in your helm with a purple gem in it for a huge survival boost too.

With right pieces you could wear 5 IK pieces (6pc bonus since you have RoRG) and still keep the Asheara's set bonus. The Demon set isn't doing you any favors.

Ditch the red gems in the ring and neck and put some legendary gems in there. They are legendary for a reason! Even if you are not able to do high level GRifts, they are still worth it for the gem upgrades alone.

If you can wear even 2 pieces of the IK set, the ancients will be your best friend, especially at lower torment and grift levels.

posted a message on Question about War Cry

I took a break for a while and one change I missed when I came back was the buff to Veteran's Warning. It seems like this is now the rune of choice in every build I see. Is it really that much better than Impunity (which was the auto-pick when I played previously) now? Most of my deaths seem to come from elemental damage even running with Impunity (no Unity or Together As One yet).

Just curious because I never noticed this until now.

posted a message on No Furnace yet: weapon to cube?

If I could get Gavel I would switch to HOTA in an instant. Just using SS for now because I got the bracers for it.

And/or I need to reroll my Vanquished Peak to get it ancient.

    So much to do!

Hadn't considered Scourge... that could be good. Like a second Mirinae

Yeah I've been upgrading in the cube as often as possible. Death's Breaths are coming slowly though

I actually don't remember if Stalgard procs from SS but it procs almost every hit from Frenzy, which ends up sending a LOT of axes out. Also I can shift-attack with Frenzy and shoot an axe out, so it almost doubles as Weapon Throw.

However Maximus does a lot of damage too so I'm torn...

posted a message on No Furnace yet: weapon to cube?

I have not been blessed with a Furnace to put in my cube yet, so in the meantime I am trying to decide between a Stalgard's Decimator or Maximus. Which of these weapons has better damage potential in the cube? Do elemental bonuses (physical for Stalgard's and fire for Maximus) apply to these effects?

Running 6pc IK SS build currently with garbage rings/neck, running grifts around 33-ish. Profile: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Krentz-1513/hero/65760215

    Thanks!

posted a message on Pet buff or debuff for you?
I actually felt a little better after the change. I struggled with losing my ancients a lot in grift 28 before, but now they survived pretty well even through arcane and electrified. I was a couple seconds off clearing 29 too, which was a record for me.

They still melt to uber Diablo trying to farm Heart of Evil on T6 though :(

The Gem of Efficacious Toxin change is nice - I took it for a spin and the bros (and my templar!) were running around poisoning everything in sight. Not sure if it beats out Pain Enhancer, but it's nice to see some pet love at least. Now if only we could get Mirinae to proc on pets we would be set...
