"The next change will be to Healing. Currently, Healing provided by gear isn't very valuable because you receive the vast amount of your healing from Health Globes. During internal testing, we discovered that as you reached higher Greater Rift levels, you really wanted more of your healing to come from your gear in order to survive. To facilitate this, we are reducing the amount of healing Health Globes provide, but buffing Life on Hit and Life Regeneration on gear to compensate. This change should make a more consistent experience when you turn up the difficulty (or reach a higher tier in a Greater Rift) in situations where you’re not killing as quickly and actually require the increased Healing."
The way this is worded makes me think they are trying to make Health Globes and self-healing separate factors, which would explain the current behavior. If that's the case, they need to at least change the tooltips and put an orange diamond on Health Globe+ stats. -

ruksak posted a message on What people are really trying to say about the current loot buffIt is kinda nice. However, I think the standard drop rate would be fine IF there weren't so many "empty" Legendaries (glorified rares as they've come to be known). The scarcity of impactful Legendary items with true legendary affixes are too far between.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Essentially; I don't think it's the rate, per say, rather it's the high percentage of dysfunctional loot that's the culprit here. -

BFLI posted a message on patch 2.05 the end of RoSThis patch tells me one thing.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
The most efficient way to get gears is do split normal bounties, pile up rift keys, do Rift it Forward, and spend on Kadala. There's absolutely no point to grind rifts if you can just sit in chat channel and wait for invite to get shards, and use those shards to get the BiS gears you want. Mind you, the drop rate from Kadala is insanely good. My guild mate went from 0 piece EQ set to full EQ set in 2 days
For this reason, there's no progression, you don't progress through torment levels, all you need to know for this game is how to run split normal bounties.
Blizzard needs to give the players incentives to actually grind at higher torment level other than the infinity of plvl, there absolutely NEED to be some items unattainable from Kadala and/or only attainable in certain torment level, such as certain item only drops from T6 diablo, or T6 mal, or T6 rift guardians... -

This is an online only game. Of which, the social aspect is pushed quite heavily. One can choose to play strictly solo and never once play with another person. True. But that's the rare exception to the rule. The overwhelming majority of players DO in fact play with other people.Quote from noladrew
I dont get why people are so bothered by something that doesnt affect them. If someone wants to mindlessly farm low level rifts, let them. Theres no economy to ruin and nothing to gain but self satisfaction. Its only game breaking to the person doing it. If you dont like the method they are using, dont use it, but dont go on forums crying about it being game breaking because its doing nothing to you.Quote from ruksak
Yeah, that kinda takes away from their motto of "killing monsters and finding great loot".Quote from BlackMamba24
This was maintenance due to some bugs (rift crashing, mystic giving other class skill bonuses) - I hope they do fix the level 1 rifts though cause that is almost game breaking.---- 500 shards per 10 mins...yeah sounds real difficult to gear a char with that amount coming in.
When an NPC like Kadala becomes the primary focal point of farming, damn near everyone you could play with will focus on one thing and one thing only, how do we go about farming Kadala? Which means, if you don't want to participate in this mechanic, you're gonna be playing alone.
It is never healthy to have silly exploits like this in an ARPG. People shouldn't be farming an NPC, it's just silly.
How the hell do you think this is an issue that "doesn't bother [me]? Am I supposed to ignore the NPC that's handing out top-tier items like candy?
PS: Nobody (especially myself) was "Crying". We're having a discussion, and if you're not mature enough to handle it without acting like a brat, I suggest not posting here at all. -

Vaizard87 posted a message on Blood shards bankPosted in: Diablo III General Discussionthe issue is that once you get a good drop that you have been waiting for, it confirms than the item is in your loot table. you can then use kadala to keep rolling for that item to eventually get the perfect roll.
If we increase blood shards a huge amount, everyone would save their shards indefinitely until they found (in my case azurewrath) their perfect item. and then roll with kadala to get the perfect version.
this is the unofficial reason.

Except Blizz keeps changing things so that people play the game the way they want them to. That mentality is very much in opposition to "play how you like." Farming chests? Nerfed. Farming rares? Nerfed. Now go run rifts!Quote from XIIIFiVe
Do what YOU want to do in-game. If you want to run bounties, then run them.
I don't actually have a big problem with it, but I don't understand the hypocrisy. They say that they don't want players to "feel forced" into playing the game one way, but then they buff one particular area of the game, ensuring that players will almost exclusively farm there. Makes no sense. I think it has a lot more to do with steering gameplay toward their original vision of what it should be than making any area of the game as rewarding as any other. Remember the whole "play anywhere, same reward" nonsense? This move doesn't jive with that message.
I still don't get why Blizz cares if I farm chests or not (I didn't, not fun.) I don't get why they care if I farm the same rare over and over (I didn't, not fun.) This game is not competitive. There is no sanctioned competition. It's essentially a single player game that you can play with friends (I know that sounds stupid, but c'mon; no trading outside of a group, no economy... it's single player with a couple small bonuses for group play.)
It is a completely hypocritical move for them to nerf farming method X and buff farming method Y because farming method Y was their intended path for us. That said... whatever. I like buffs, and I like rifts more than chest farming, so I don't think they made the game worse. I just have a philosophical issue with the whole thing. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.
