The style is much different. If you compare the same species (as in a human with that human you supplied for the DIablo III example), you will find that the WoW human's muscles are completely disproportionate and impossible, while Diablo III's are plausible.

Well i've tried wow and thats what it looks like to me, I don't get why fanboys gotta freak over anything that has the word WoW mixed with Diablo in it. Visuals will be enhanced anyways like I said before and this is probably still early in the works FFS.

there is a difference between whining and discussing. people are merely saying there are similarities between d3 and WoW's visual styles. seems the people saying its not are getting worked up about it.

Wow you are a huge moron. When did we say graphics need ot look like ps3? Jesus, it looks like WoW, meaning its not dark, twisted, and not near as effective as d1/d2's were. Were d1/d2 blizzard games?
To my eyes, they are pretty close to WoW, maybe a little more detail on the skin etc, but damn, I was expecting better from Blizz, nothing next-gen there =/, but like I said, things could change and this is probably only beta anyways. Blizzard could've shown you a Diablo3 in pixel form and you still wouldn't care.
I'm disappointed that the "new graphics engine" doesn't seem to be too far off from WoW, sorry but Starcraft 2 visuals blow these away, I admit that the D2 2d visuals gave it more of a Diablo feeling more than any of the 3d shots I've seen so far. Things could change when they release this game in about 10 years.

I don't even play Diablo or WoW, I just play Call of Duty 4 and even I can tell the similarities because a few of my friends play it.
