    No, Diablo 2 did not work well on PK, due to hacks and cheats. Which will inevitably occur if you keep some "timer".

    Its simple.

    You must consent to PvP or PK. If you allow it, you cant cry when you die.

    Otherwise, if the button is off. You cant be touched. Period.

    This solves the hack and spell-remaining problems, with no TP or WP issues.

    The only ones who will hate it are those who would PK someone who cant fight back.

    It's good news if you think about it.

    There are 2 options.

    1. Diablo 3 is going to be announced at Blizzcon. Blizzard wouldn't allow them to announce it ahead of time. If they saw it and knew it was going to be announced at Blizzcon, they wouldn't deny it either as that would make them liars. Once you lie on purpose, you can never be trusted again as journalists. This is good news for us as it encourages the thought of D3's existance.

    2. Diablo 3 isn't going to be announced at Blizzcon. PC Gamer surely would have brought the game up at some point if this were the case. Since they did not bring it up at all, this points back to option 1.

    Good news for us in my opinion.


    Unless, as PC gamer stated, they never intended to do a D3 article at all. The cover was just a random fill-in....

    So the "change" could mean absolutely nothing in regards to Blizzcon...

    Perhaps their answer is true. Perhaps not. But one thing is true, D3 rumors create buzz. Perhaps they wanted that most of all...

    If you believe their answer, then the fact is there was no "d3" article planned, and this has no relevance to Blizzcon and a potential announcement...

    I sure hope Blizzcon announces Diablo 3, or even World of Diablo.

    If they announce Diablo: the movie, I will be bummed.

    I want a game, not a movie.

    Of course, a game AND a movie is ok.

    You can always do the "SOE" method...

    Warcraft or Diablo MMO at $15 a month, or get both at $21

    Besides, Warcraft will always have a million or two players subscribing. Even at that rate, WOW will continue to make $$$

    I agree with an earlier poster. If people are leaving WOW for a different MMO, why not leave for a BLIZZARD MMO. The best competitor IS yourself...

    Playing D2 on Battle.net was very close to being MMO quality. If it were to be an MMO, all you would have to do is scrap the join game screen and make the diablo world one big one. But the world would have to be larger of course. Establish a flexible in-game economy and all that good stuff that has become standard in an MMO.

    Imagine the lag of players with 30 minions.

    People complained of lag in 8 player games with one necro's minions...

    Given the different vision perspectives of D2 vs WOW, you would hardly be able to see anything on the screen with 2-3 necros plus 90 minions running around you.

    Its pretty obvious "mechanics wise" there would be issues with that many minions in a diablo MMO...

    How exactly could a "world of diablo" work as a MMO and keep the same characters.

    For example, a necromancer can have 10-30 minions. That amount has never been used in an MMO. So would a necro be somehow "limited" to 1 skeleton??? That pretty much ruins the class.

    You'd have to change a LOT of the way the classes work in order to get a Diablo MMO....

    OR...

    Set the MMO in the pre-trist days...ala the recent novels....

    ANAHEIM, California--On the question of expanding World of Warcraft, the question wasn't "if," it was "when." Said "when" was today. At BlizzCon, Blizzard Entertainment's annual expo, the VU Games-owned developer-publisher officially announced its immensely popular massively multiplayer role-playing game is getting an add-on.

    It was released January 2007.

    If WOW should have an expansion "every year" (or even 2), an "official" announcement can still mean over a year until it is released.

    Therefore, it is more likely a WOW expansion gets announced rather than D3. It would be more likely to be "ready" first" as opposed to the new D3... Besides, has Blizzard ever had three ANNOUNCED projects going at one time??

    Sucks, but D3 could be 3 years away (even if announced "next year", then it is released 1 year later)
