You're better off just leveling a new character, than waiting around for them to reply (in the right place, as Huertgenwald linked to).
Getting to level 22 takes no time at all, unless you're going around hitting one mob and then running away from the rest on any given level.

Depends on how much you want to exploit the gem in it's current form.

They've made a slight oversight, in terms of the gem, that can get exploited big time. With that in mind; it is very much viable for pushing greater rifts.

...I wouldn't do it though - but I'm certain many others are 'dumb enough' to do so (in the sense that it should be fairly easy to spot who went for the exploit), when they figure it out..

    Afaik DarkD3 hooks into DX9.
    64Bit Client uses D11.

Besides that; DarkD3 was 'discontinued' a long time ago. The author stopped supporting it, as it was 'borderline against ToS' (3rd party injector). Don't expect a 64bit/DX11 version of DarkD3, unless from someone else entirely.

posted a message on What happened to the armory and the new crafting material storage?
    Quote from Kamui1770go-next

Yeah, thanks, Bagstone. That makes total sense now that I think about it. The Armory is just a QOL thing that all players should enjoy whereas a new class should obviously be paid content.

it's actually not a QOL change at all. In fact it diminishes it. I already had this discussion with another person on Dfans post Blizzcon.

What the armory does in terms of coding language is point an array towards your inventory. Its like using vlookup in excel. It looks up the info in your stash and uses that info for the armory.

So yes, you can have multiple builds per character slots. However, it WILL NOT free up any inventory in your stash. This is what people actually wanted, a way to free up stash space. Because what eats it up the most is multiple variations of the same set item due to RNG.
I think you're looking at it from a 'wrong' point of view.

It is a QoL-change in the sense that it frees up the need to make several characters, just to make build-swapping easier. It pretty much makes any kind of gear-swapping easy.

It changes nothing in regards to how you store your loot - it's not supposed to do anything in that regard - simply just make it easier to manage builds.

They got the patch, because of the filesize of the console patch. The PC filesize is (as always) going to be nowhere near the console size and doesn't need that much time to get sorted. Besides; it's MS and Sony that control when patches get sent to the end-user (on console - if that wasn't obvious) - not the developer/publisher. They need to get sent through certification from MS/Sony.

'Blizzard always finds a way to fuck with us' - really?
I'm sure that was their first though - Obviously has to be - Can't possibly be anything else.

Season 9 starts on Friday - if you can't wait until then (at most), then you've got some serious issues in your life.
I'd hate to be anyone in your family, telling you that they have a gift for you or something, that you'd be getting within any given timeframe - guessing you might explode within minutes of getting that info.

Just relax and do something else. No need to get all fired up over something that is guaranteed to be out within 2 days (They 100% won't set the patch to go live, after a season starts - that's a 'no-go' for Blizzard).

1)I / We don't really care about the reasons why consoles are getting it first. It is completely fucked up.
And it is the last screwing on a huge list of fuck-ups by blizzard to the Diablo playerbase.
We are angry at this point, more than annoyed or upset. That's the mood that they have provoked on me, and plenty of other users in this forum and the official diablo forums.
    2) Who told you I cannot wait until friday? Moreover, why do you feel like you can tell me to wait or not? there's no need of more Blizzard White knights in this forum. Go peel your knees somewhere else please; we are pissed off, and rightfully angry. Where have you been on the last 2 years of crap¿?

    3) Your "blizzard 100% won't do X cause no-go" is another statement based on nothing. Why don't you stop trying to excuse them on every fuck up?
At this point if you are a diablo fan, and you are not angry, there's something seriously wrong with you. I can't undertand you fanbois.

Who elected you to speak for the whole community? - I saw nothing about this. Speak from your own sense of self - not everyone else. Let them make up their own minds.
Where did I say specifically, that you couldn't wait? - I was simply guessing, based on your state of mind.

My statement about it not going live withing a season, is based on statements from Blizzard. They left in various bugs and what not, because they didn't want the same experience as they had in an earlier season where a patch during a season, lead to a big meta change. It basically messed everything up - the top of the leaderboards ended up being close to the bottom and so on. It's not 'grabbed out of thin air' - it's purely from statements they've made in the past, in regards to patches during a season.

Sad thing is that you should in fact never do this, cus blizz will most likely see and punish this as "account sharing".

No more hangover playing at my friends place or I can be sure to get another ban in the future. Since they can't investigate any further they will just ban you and won't trust your stories. No matter if true or false.

BS - There's no credibility to that at all.

In my tight group of friends, we tend to host 'mini-LANs' from time to time. A minimum of 1 per month, lasting 3-4 days.
Last month we had had 3 of these 'events'.
We've done these 'events' for the past few years (4-5 years or so).

This is NOT against any kind of policy they have set.
    Nothing.

In your case; something else triggered the ban. You, signing in at a friends house, was NOT it.
I'm not claiming you did anything shady - seeing as I have no way of knowing that at all - but it could be anything.
Even Discord's Overlay had a tendency to trigger a few anti-cheat algorithms from various other games. I even recall Overwatch being one of them and Blizzard specifically telling players that they shouldn't use it, until further investigation. Razer software had a similar effect at one point (although not on Blizzard games, as far as I recall), as well as a few TeamSpeak plugins.

It might have been something like that or something else entirely.
...but it was NOT, you logging in at a friends house - you can be certain of that.

I would be happy, if it just remained similar to what D3 is today, with a few tweaks here and there (Paragons mostly..).

The only big thing I would want in D4, would be a complete engine and server structure change.
The engine used in D3 is not doing well. It did okay at launch, but with more and more stuff added, along with effects; it's going in the shitter..
The servers needs massive amounts of love. They were not prepared (no pun intended) for the 'always-online'-movement, they sparked life into again, with this game. They still aren't up for it, when 'shit hits the fan', in terms of users and new additions to the game.

D4 'just' needs a new engine and server structure (compared to D3) - then I'm pretty much good with what we got already.

    Quote from Bleu42go-next

Unless it's a recent bug, it's a problem with your pc if opening tabs drops your fps. The usual suspects are either your HDD is slow, and / or you've got a low end cpu. Blizzards games are very cpu intensive, so I'd look into those first.

How have you not gotten this issue (read: you said 'unless it's a recent bug', which leads me to this), based on your time with the game? o.O
(basing that off of your post count here - looks like you've been with the game for a long time)

I've been playing since D3 release - this "tab bug" has been a thing for a very long time.
It's the servers not responding 'as fast as they should' (to simplify it) and the client 'locking up' until it gets the response it needs.

Blizzard's games aren't that CPU intensive - D3 being one of the games that uses less CPU than others.
...until you start some task that demands a server-response and then a 'reaction' from the client - then it'll spike a bit, in CPU usage, which will look like you're 'dropping frame'/'freezing'.

My CPU (i7-6700K - saw similar stats with my older CPU, i5-2500K) usage tops out at around ~20% (usually runs around 15-18%) in total, while only really having the game running, chrome and some other random shit.
The game itself, only uses 5-10% CPU (might go a little higher - but that's usually what I'm seeing). That was taken while running a solo GR70. If I go through the various armor/weapon-tabs at the blacksmith, it spikes to 12-18% usage. That spike is the 'reaction' from the response the client gets from the server. Kinda similar to the issues with going through stash tabs, at times (this one comes and goes - between patches, it seems).
The client sends a question to the server - the server responds and the client then needs to handle that response.
    ..again; simplified. Massively.

The issues with the game, are mostly server-side. This has been a 'fact' since forever, pretty much.
That's one of the things we get, when we want a game that's 'always-online' to limit cheating and such.

I still get these small "lags" here and there. It's been happening since release - people stating that they aren't seeing it, have simply gotten used to it and don't notice it anymore (I don't mean that in a bad way at all - I wish I could ignore it, despite it only happening once or twice per hour or something).

Traditionally, updates can be downloaded before the actual live date on the patch.

The patch is downloaded but not "applied" until the friday.

    I don't think we'll see live tomorrow.

We have had massive updates downloaded prior before going "live" on the local machine.

It's possible they would go "live" tomorrow; however, I think it would only make sense to hold off until friday, when the season ends and the era is done.

I don't recall them EVER "activating" a patch on the day a season started (I could be wrong - I simply can't remember all the seasonal patches, since I started in S1).
Doing so, would be like shooting yourself in the foot - seeing as they say, over and over again; that they don't want to do any kind of updates during seasons (unless it's VERY critical). They've got no clue if it'll go as planned, when everything "fires up". That's why patches go live on Tuesdays/Wednesdays (NA/EU) and not on "the big day" - they then have a few days to sort out the last of the kinks, if there are any that needs attention right away.

Sure.. We've seen downloads happen over time before - but that was the bigger content updates - not something like the regular patches between seasons. The last one was 2.4 and before that, it was.. ehm.. I can't even recall - it's been so long (it seems)..

posted a message on Getting tabbed out instantly

You've apparently got something that "steals focus" and minimizes your game.
Something like Fraps can do this (not guaranteed - but it can) - I know that from experience, at least.

What I did, before figuring out that it was Fraps that did it to me (and in some cases, even an old Steam bug from several years ago, where Steam doesn't want to "let go of focus", when starting something..), was the following:

If the game starts minimized, keep clicking the game on your taskbar. Even after the screen goes black, as you're then clicking in the game window.
When clicking fairly fast, you "force focus" onto that program/game, because you are (as mentioned right above), clicking in the game window and forcing whatever it is, to "let go of focus" as it is needed elsewhere.
If it fails; try again (I'm not saying you should keep trying this a hundred times - just 2-3 times - if it doesn't do anything; then that's not the issue you're having).
I know it sounds weird and you probably think I'm trolling you - but I'm not (me saying that, probably didn't help that either.. lol) :)
That's what I do, if I experience it via Steam - it doesn't happen that often anymore though..

If the above mentioned didn't work - I'm at a loss.
I hope you figure it out though :)

    That's from Page 40.

Clearly directs you to the very starting point of the Campaign (Overlook Road), from where you can see the town and follow the road to the gates :)

I don't know if the pages are set-specific (as in; one set dungeon at one specific spot - and only that one), but when going there; I got the dungeon for the Invoker-set :)

There's one thing I dislike about them though.. For the Invoker-dungeon, you need iron skin + consecration. Nowhere does it tell you that, before going in there. Not that it really matters that much, as I'm guessing you can change while in there - didn't try, as I didn't find the dungeon hard or challenging in any way - I could just walk and all mobs pretty much died after they hit me once. posted a message on This Banwave is a joke imo

There was one person in this topic justifying the bans. I wholeheartedly disagree, with that. I may be bias because i was one that got 14 day ban.

I tried this "exploit" twice - first time for 1 hour when lads on clan said that patch is buggy, and explained current bug i did not even know it exists prior to that. So i went on got myself tons of amulets and tried what this stuff is about. Did not get any advantage or anything dropped it immediately after.

Second time tried for 10 minutes after hotfix was released to test if they fixed the bug finally.

I could perhaps live with the ban even though it is completely undeserved. I have no idea how my testing affected any one of you who praise this ban wave whatsoever. But the fact that according to them they removed my leaderboards results its just icing of the cake. (I have no way of checcking if they actyally removed me).

Just day before ban i finally after ton of efforts got into solo wizard leaderboards, feeling good and all next day i come from work looking forward to progress further and not only i find out that i got ban for some nonsense that i did month ago , but also they claim removing my leaderboard result that i achieved long after that and without any direct correlation.

This is absurd. And those who are defending this decision is absurd too.

I completely agree that those that continously used this exploit should be banned, but those who just tried it for sake of trying at most should have been warned.

My 50 cents anyway. Not that any of you or Blizzard itself cares but i think its a good time to say goodbye to company which makes good games but have no sense of judgement.

If you played the same character you tried it on, later - then you were still using it.
It was a "permanent" exploit. It didn't just go away. There was "no trying it for a minute or two". If you kept playing that character; you were still using the exploit - not matter if you thought so or not.
You'd have to change characters and not use that character again, until fixed - before you were actually not using it anymore.

posted a message on This Banwave is a joke imo

But they didn't perm-ban people that just simply tried out the exploit once or twice (Mistakes happens - so not saying they couldn't have slipped into a "perm-ban" by accident)..

Not according to their statement at least - or according to the few people I know, that wanted to see what the exploit was all about.
They only got a 2 weeks ban. That's it.

I don't think it's about the severity of the bug itself - but more about abusing an exploit, over and over again (no matter what it was).
They'd have to come to a point, where they'd need to simply ban (either for a period or a permanent one, depending on severity) people that are abusing exploits. They've "threatened" with doing this - they can't just keep holding that above the players - they have to enforce it - no matter how silly some people find the terms.

...but I do agree, that the botters needs to be taken care of - but I just don't think Blizzard has a way of detecting them all - I refuse to believe, that they'd just ignore all the reports, just because they don't wanna lose attention (or something like that) gotten from a streamer that is now finally banned (Maybe not for botting - but he is still banned...).
It's gotta be because they haven't found a way to detect some of the bots - I really can't see any other way they would "leave them alone".

^^ That is correct - at least the WD part :)

WD's hace 5 2H maces in their loot-table (Wizards have 6, like the rest of the classes).
Getting it as a WD, should take around 375 DBs (average value taken from this spreadsheet), while others is averaged at 475-525.
Again; those are average values and is not a guarantee in any form :)

So if you just want to cube it; get a friend to boost a WD for you and then start doing the upgrades with that :)
It's not a much better chance, but at least it's something :)

    ---

This last bit is pure speculation, but something I find might be correct in regards to drop-rates (of sorts):
If someone gets an item dropped and you get the transmog (or the item - if they don't need it); it'll drop for you some time very soon. Usually within 1-3 Hours of getting the transmog.
That's what my group and I have kinda stumbled upon.
I can't back this up in any way, as it is RNG (as with pretty much everything in regards to Diablo), but that's what we've noticed.
I've gotten a Furnace/SMK/"You name it" so many times, with a relatively short amount of time between the drops, after getting the first drop or transmog.
This goes for pretty much any "close-to-rare" drop.
We even tried it with the "Gifts", even though they obviously don't have transmogs. Was a 0 "Gifts" a few days ago - Not I'm up to 22 "Gifts" and several of the guys that also picked the one up that got dropped, 10 each as well.

...but as said; I can't back it up in any way - there's no blue-posts or detailed "data-mining" related to this. This is all something we've noticed and kinda feels is related, but might be in our heads (something we want to see be related - I dunno...) :)

I needed the cooldown that the obsidian ring gives. More cooldown = More Berserker = More damage and survivability.

F&R wasn't needed for this at all.

posted a message on Good barb build for conquest "the thrill"

I just used whatever I had in my stash (and on me). Made two attempt at getting it.
First attempt was a few seconds above the 15 minute limit - second attempt was done in 9 minutes (got great density, but kinda shitty mobs and only a speed pylon).

A few items from various sets (with high stats ofc.), but not getting the bonuses of course. Added my BK-weps, strongarms, CoE + Unity + Mara's Kaleidoscope.
You can use any amulet - as long as it's decently rolled - but seeing as quite a few RG are using poison, that's a pretty good choice because you're missing survivability from sets.

    Cube:
Furnace - Hexing Pants - Obsidian Ring
If you don't have a Furnace in the cube, I guess a Scourge would be fine (if you get big density) for added damage.

    Skills:
    Whirlwind w/ Blood Funnel
    Threatening Shout w/ Falter
Ancient Spear w/ Harpoon (great for getting mobs tight together, to get more use of PE)
    Battle Rage w/ Bloodshed
Ignore Pain w/ Iron Hide (I used Pride of Cassius as well)
Wrath of the Berserker w/ Insanity

    Passive:
Ruthless - Weapon Master - Boon of Bul-Kathos - Rampage
If you have a Hellfire amulet you're using as well and it has one of the above, then pick Brawler as well (or something you see fitting).

Legendary Gems (with my levels included):
    Bane of the Stricken (58) - Pain Enhancer (59) - Taeguk (60)

Currently paragon 564 as well - thought I might mention that, since that helps a fair bit as well, in regards to damage and survivability :)

Noticed this on as low as level 50 Grifts as well as start 60s (highest my group and I have gone so far, this season).. Density + Double-stacking Rend (Lamentation), from two barbs = Massive lag..

The servers are getting slaughtered with all these "calculations" being done.. They need to simplify it somehow..

Seeing as they haven't officially published what's In-Game collectibles we get, we might still see some stuff added other than what has already been made available via PTR (by chance/a "bug" - don't think that was intended to show up on PTR).

To my understanding; it's only reasonable.
You're only allowed to have 1 Spider Queen - why should your mimics/clones be allowed to have so many more, if they are mimics/clones of you?
It doesn't make any sense like that and therefore must be a bug or something.

Of course it's better DPS with more of them - that goes for every ability out there - but that doesn't make it "right".

posted a message on Blizzcon 2014 Transmogs

Yeah.. Just noticed (dunno why I didn't check there first..) that they go for a fairly high price, with a few exceptions (auctions - which might end up at a high price).

Just got hold of a D3 Collector's Edition (Unused code and all) a few days ago - $250..
I hate myself for buying it (because of the prize), but I'm a sucker for stuff like that and I couldn't get one at release (all sold out and ebay prices were actually way higher than now).

One thing is for sure though - as soon as the Virtual Tickets go on sale for Blizzcon 2015; I'm getting one :)
I'm not gonna miss a chance of getting some extra stuff and then regretting not getting it, later on :)

posted a message on Blizzcon 2014 Transmogs

I was looking through the various stuff Blizzard added in form of purchases of other Blizzard products.

I then remembered the great looking transmogs from Blizzcon 2014.

Any chance of purchasing that stuff today still?
I know the Virtual Ticket is out of the question - obviously - but how about the actual physical tickets?
Did people that bought those, get these items as well (I'm guessing they did, if they added some code on their account), and if so; is there a chance of actually buying said codes anywhere?

I don't know if it's a shady thing to ask about, but I felt I had to ask somewhere - else I'd just keep wondering about it :)

    Thanks in advance :)

posted a message on Tyrael's Prayer
Fmulder: At the end of Diablo II: Lord of Destruction, Tyrael shattered the Worldstone by throwing his sword into it. Was Tyrael praying when he was “powering up” his sword? What language was he speaking?
Ed Trotta: I loved that conclusion. Tyreal was really “letting his hair down” (does he even have hair?), and yes, he was in prayer while powering up his sword. The language? It was a combination of Farsi, Gaelic, and “California surfer speak”. In other words, the language we will all be speaking if we survive long enough.

Fmulder: What do the words actually mean? Just some non-English words put together to sound cool and mysterious? I ask because I don’t speak Farsi or Gaelic, and I don’t surf (laughs).
Ed Trotta: The prayer interprets, “Father of the Universe, grant my wings the energy of youth, bless my vision with the wisdom of my years, and please let the hot-tub be unoccupied when I get back to the hotel”.

I have no idea what the words mean. They were an incantation, a mantra if you will, and only Tyreal himself will ever know.

posted a message on can give me some advice in WW build u.u

I was talking about mine - sorry for the confusion :)

...although; your skill could use some fine-tuning, if you want to push higher Grifts :)

What I do for pushing Grifts (compared to the gear shown on mine now):
    1. Switch WW to "Blood Funnel".
    2. Switch out "Witching Hour" to "Pride of Cassius".
    3. Switch out "Overpower" for "Ignore Pain - Iron Hide".
    4. Change "Battle Rage - Bloodshed" to "Battle Rage - Swords to Ploughshares" only if HP recovery is really needed, if not; keep Bloodsheed for added area damage.
    5. Crit gem in Weapon and Life% in helmet (Might do with CDR as well, if needed).

Might have missed something, but I'm fairly sure I got it all down.
I've managed a Grift 51 (Barely) with this setup.

This was told to us, by a D3 Dev.. Nobody is able to download the patch, since it is very much still only available internally (meaning the main parts of the patch and such)..
The "update" you're seeing, is the game getting your regular D3 ready for PTR.. Nothing more..

posted a message on Game Breaking WD Carnevil bug as of 5/19/2015

    Just a quick tip:

Make a habit out of recording your rifts and so on (Stop the recording after each rift or what ever you're doing and record again when starting something), when playing on the test servers.
When something shows up (like this), you have a video to supply as well as feedback :)

I do this myself - when finishing a rift or whatever, I just delete the video I just made and start a new one (if nothing strange showed up).

It doesn't have to be the over-the-top quality (If your setup can handle that; then just do that - not really that taxing though), but as long as what you're doing is fairly clear, then that'll do :)

posted a message on Why does everyone on leaderboard have Ancient BK?

Got ancient BK fairly quickly. Was really surprised by that.
I've seen 2-3 of each of them drop as ancient as well, after the initial drops (Haven't been in any Loot-Share parties - all done solo or with a DH friend).
Didn't spend any shards on them at all (A waste on weapons, unless they are either holding you way back or your other items are top-notch).

    BN-profile: http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Tagger-2775/hero/59909508
    (Semi-Farming gear on right now)

Mine aren't "over-the-top", but they are fairly decent imo.
Furthest I've gotten in Grifts, are 50 though - so there's still room for improvements (Either in regards to items or me slacking) :)

*snip* I am looking to switch to some other diablo like game for some time, but can't find any good.*snip*

Try looking up "Lost Ark". It's a Asian title that is currently in CBT. It looks very promising.
There's no announced date or anything, for a full release, but they have stated that they are going "world wide" with the game (after several inquires as to why it wasn't made in English).
..so that might be something to look forward to.
Here is one of the many articles on it: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2014-11-17-lost-ark-is-the-best-diablo-3-clone-you-cant-play (don't put to much into the last segment about not getting a western release - that has since been talked over and "confirmed" to happen)

Other than that; there's pretty much no game out there that does what D3 does currently. Some do it differently, but doesn't really keep up with the "feel" we're used to with the Diablo-franchise :)

    Quote from Sarickkgo-next

I don't know whats wrong with drop rate? You guys want to have full gear after 2-3 days? Just farm more.

S3 I'v already have few SMK's including ancient ones. It drops quite often, I hope they nerf the dorp rate of SMK again so its at least valuable again.

There is no need to nerf the DR for it. It's fairly low as it is (3.45% when a CK drops).
You getting several of them, is just what the game is all about - RNG.

I haven't gotten a single one, since S3 launched. S2 was another matter. I had 8-10 drop for me in S2 (2-3 ancients).

    It's all RNG.
