posted a message on Did someone do a 2.5 season starter guide or do someone plan to make a s11 starter guide ?

Just wait for the release of the Necro (in a few days).
Many will start running leveling test runs (myself included), to see what works and how efficient it'll be.

These 'starter guides' will start popping up left, right and center, when everyone gets their hands on the Necro. Pick one you like or don't - it's not like the difference will be very big at all :)
There's usually 5-10 of these guides, along with a TON of threads and videos stating that X,Y,Z is the best way and such.

posted a message on Duplication of items possible in Season 10 on consoles
    Quote from prrovossgo-next

    Quote from Foenshgo-next

So first u show and explain a duping trick in Season 10 and then u complain about it? Oo

even without him explaining it, people would still use the exploit. making it public and widely known pressures blizzard to fix this.

    Here's the thing though..
Patches on consoles, has to go through various processes to actually get live for the playerbase. This process can take several days/weeks, for Sony/Microsoft to run. That's one of the reasons why you don't see patches go out for consoles, as often as you see them on PC (in any game that goes on both platforms).
...along with the fact that there is a fee to starting the process (not a huge thing for big companies, obviously), on consoles as well - it all adds up.

But yeah - showing these things is great in general, but for consoles; not so much. It takes FAAAR to long to get a patch out, that fixes an issue (they usually tend to hold back fixes, until they have several, because of the time it takes to 'validate' and because of the cost - better to send out a 'big bundle of fixes' than several smaller ones). This makes the publicity of said exploits, fairly bad on consoles. It's a non-issue on PC - publish them as fast and vast as you like; and they'll just patch it 'whenever' - but that's not the case for consoles...

    Edit:
I'm not saying you shouldn't publish and show people this - kinda forcing Blizzard to 'take action' - I'm just saying; that it might not get you the result you want (fast at least), but rather a ton more people using it, because of the (potentially) slow response to these things, on console (due to how Sony/Microsoft does their work)..

posted a message on Buggy followers

Right. They SHOuld not be there. It is a bug. Also forgot to make a screenshot of my templar following me through rift and proc oculuis ring as he should. Funny part, my friend joined in rift. But... templar stayed UNTIL the very end of rift. Huh? why?

If you keep moving, in the area your friend is in; you'll keep your follower - most of the time, at least..
That's been a thing for some time now - I recall a friend reporting it on their bug forum a year back or something like that.

As soon as you stop moving (and the follower catches up to you), it'll pop up and tell you that he/she is getting dismissed.

posted a message on Suggestion - Front page Stream links - disable autoplay

Since more and more Streams are getting focus (Which is great) in various news posts on this site; could we please get them as something that doesn't just autoplay?
Clips and such, don't autoplay - but when a stream is embedded directly (stream link directly), it just fires up if the stream is active.

Nothing worse than some random stream (or just a video) just starting on it's own - I dislike this on ANY site that does this, and I'm sure I'm far from alone on that.

I don't get why that was even made a thing.

    Quote from heyraysgo-next

    Quote from Taggergo-next

Passed 20 Primals since season start. Only got 2-3 usable items for the builds I'm doing though. 1 wasn't even really an upgrade, aside from the higher secondary resistance.
Haven't played much, the last week or so. Got to P87x or something like that and took a break.

The 2 guys I play with, have gotten between 4 and 7 that I know of, each.

As with pretty much anything in this game; RNG.

    Stop faking

I'm not faking anything (Sadly - if someone was to fake something like that, they would probably have stated they had way more usable Primals...). I've only really gotten shit items so far and the ones I could use, wasn't a big upgrade (as stated).

Sadly I haven't saved them all (seeing as there is really no reason to), but I do have something like 6 or 8 in my stash still and 1 equipped (Tal headpiece).

4 of the Primals I've gotten, have actually been from the Bounty caches. 2 of which was the Act 1 mace (..so nothing worth using at all).
First 2 Primals I got, was both from the Blackthorne set (really hope that gets re-made into a Necromancer set...). As said; nothing worth saving.

You're acting like it's a big fucking deal, with the Primals - it's mostly a small upgrade on your gear if you already have mostly ancient (except weapons, where it could be a big upgrade in some cases). I think I got 20-30 more Int on my headpiece, along with maybe 70-100 more Vit. Sure; that's a fair bit of Vit, but it's not something to jump up and down like crazy about..
I'm nowhere near 'over the moon' when a Primal drops for me and it's some gear piece - if it's a weapon; I might get a little excited, if it's just a little bit usable for something.

posted a message on First useful Primal

Think I've gotten somewhere around 15-20 primals so far - currently sitting at P792.

1 Starfire that was a small upgrade from my ancient one and a few things (Unstable Scepter, belt and gloves) for the DMO build, if I ever wanna touch that set again. Ranslor's Folly and Manald Heal (Was just the worst stats possible though - was not worth using at all) as well.
Overall, not that many that were useful for what I was using.

My first 2 primals were both Blackthorne though (Really hope they re-do that set and make it a Necromancer set...), but dropped shortly after I finished the GR70 requirement..

posted a message on Diablo 3 Banwave: Blizzard bans botters from US Servers finally
    Quote from lolz4go-next

    On conculsion:

"While you’re at it, could you please address the issue of users recreating new accounts for the sole purpose of gaining 3 rollbacks every season? Exploiting a useful mechanic in this way is still an exploit. Why should these users get 3x their bounty mats and 3x their keys?"

Can you please elaborate on what you mean? Why would one get more bounty mats/keys if you use reincarnation (at least thats what I think you mean with "rollback")?

Gather a ton of mats - craft/re-roll everything you need - if nothing is good; do a rollback to before you did said thing, and do it again. At least that's how it was explained on Reddit - might be a little different than what I explained here - but it's the general idea of it.
It's sadly been a thing for some time now. Blizzard is making money on it, so that's at least something - but it's a bit of an exploit imo..

posted a message on Patch 2.5.1 - Predictions Poll

To be fair, it's a minor patch update, after 2.5 - if we it's 2.5.1
That's not a number that we'll see any content in (usually). Those come out like with this one in the version numbers X.Y (2.5), not X.Y.Z :)

    Quote from Skelos_bggo-next

S11 ends in September/October - Necro DLC is possible for this time frame, although I haven't voted for it. I expect it after Blizzcon.

During the last BlizzCon, they slipped a potential release (Think it was Wyatt that mentioned it to Anthony - BigDaddyDen), which was around June/July. There's no indication that it'll stick to that, but that's what's know about it, this far.

    Quote from Lorrrggo-next

I hope the patch after 2.5 will bring us the necro and the new areas. with this, some new legandary effects and some balancing (so necro will be op in the beginning ....) I believe this will be patch 2.6 and not 2.5.1.

The Necromancer DLC, will bring the game to version 3.0, due to the additions to the game (According to Blizzard themselves).

    Quote from Foenshgo-next

I wouldn't be against it though...If that would be the thing they needed to get us more updates and stuff

Same - as long as they remove the Exp boosts that are on the Asian shop, so it doesn't get brought to the NA/EU version, then I'm all good with it.

    Edit:
Or maybe just even limit it to only work from 1-70 and not on Paragon Exp.

posted a message on Lost character

You're better off just leveling a new character, than waiting around for them to reply (in the right place, as Huertgenwald linked to).
Getting to level 22 takes no time at all, unless you're going around hitting one mob and then running away from the rest on any given level.

    So it's good basically ?

still not viable for serious farming/pushing etc in my opinion. fun to play around with but thats about it^^

Depends on how much you want to exploit the gem in it's current form.

They've made a slight oversight, in terms of the gem, that can get exploited big time. With that in mind; it is very much viable for pushing greater rifts.

...I wouldn't do it though - but I'm certain many others are 'dumb enough' to do so (in the sense that it should be fairly easy to spot who went for the exploit), when they figure it out..

    Quote from cpygo-next

Anyone have alternative to shaders for 64bit version of D3? Because i'm playing 32bit diablo for now until i find version that works with 64bit client.

    Afaik DarkD3 hooks into DX9.
    64Bit Client uses D11.

Besides that; DarkD3 was 'discontinued' a long time ago. The author stopped supporting it, as it was 'borderline against ToS' (3rd party injector). Don't expect a 64bit/DX11 version of DarkD3, unless from someone else entirely.

posted a message on What happened to the armory and the new crafting material storage?
    Quote from Kamui1770go-next

Yeah, thanks, Bagstone. That makes total sense now that I think about it. The Armory is just a QOL thing that all players should enjoy whereas a new class should obviously be paid content.

it's actually not a QOL change at all. In fact it diminishes it. I already had this discussion with another person on Dfans post Blizzcon.

What the armory does in terms of coding language is point an array towards your inventory. Its like using vlookup in excel. It looks up the info in your stash and uses that info for the armory.

So yes, you can have multiple builds per character slots. However, it WILL NOT free up any inventory in your stash. This is what people actually wanted, a way to free up stash space. Because what eats it up the most is multiple variations of the same set item due to RNG.
I think you're looking at it from a 'wrong' point of view.

It is a QoL-change in the sense that it frees up the need to make several characters, just to make build-swapping easier. It pretty much makes any kind of gear-swapping easy.

It changes nothing in regards to how you store your loot - it's not supposed to do anything in that regard - simply just make it easier to manage builds.
