I really do believe that the new game will be somewhat of a prequel and maybe have use the same spell system as the first one, or better yet, have you unlock potential as a nephalem and wage war against the Cathedral of Light OR The Triune. Pick a path kind of thing. In the end of the second book, and this is one of the main reasons i KNOW d3 is at least in production, in the about the author section it states that Knaak is working on a new storyline for a game for blizzard.
