THE GREAT JEWEL OF PAX EAST
Gather your gear, heroes, and get ready to face down the Burning Hells on the PlayStation 3!
Our action-packed single-player hands-on demo will showcase several key elements that make Diablo III on the PS3 so much fun, including a reimagined interface and inventory system, direct character control, updated camera, and bosses and monsters specifically tuned for console. Players will also get to experience gameplay from Act III of the campaign where they’ll get to test their mettle as either the cunning Demon Hunter or mighty Barbarian.
We'll have demo stations available from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. EDT in booth #1036 of the Expo Hall, so if you’re in the area (and in the mood for some ritual demon slaughter), be sure to stop by and check it out!
RNG IS RNG: RAFFLES, GIVEAWAYS, AND MORE. . .
In addition to showcasing the PS3 version of Diablo III and chatting you up about the game as you saunter by, we'll also be giving away enough swag and prizes to make a Treasure Goblin jealous.
We'll be sharing updates, photos, and more live from the convention floor, so be sure to "Like" us on Facebook and follow our official Twitter feed so you don't miss out.
For those who are Boston-bound, we salute you . . . and hope to see you there!
Watch PAX Live!
Arcagnion was kind enough to provide us with a link to PAX's official Twitch channel, where the entire convention will be streamed!
This weekend we are invading PAX east in Boston!
We will be showing Diablo III running on the PlayStation 3 and including the new features and controls that make it so much fun on the PS3. Also we will announce that little something else we have been working on. So if you are keen to find out first be sure to tune into the PAX live stream early on Saturday morning from 01:00 AEST.
I'm so staying up to watch this and pray for mass tweets.Arc mate, can you give a Aus time for when blizz is doing this announcement of whatever you're hiding ;)I really want to be up for when you announce whatever it may be!
Good question, so if you are keen to hear the announcement first, the stream is live at 1 am Sydney time tomorrow morning and the Blizzard panel starts then.
New Changes Will Not Give Larger Maps
I have seen several post from players wondering if the monster density adjustments in patch 1.0.8 will alter map sizes or add monster abilities, so I just wanted to clarify on that. Currently, the only intended change is to rebalance monster population density in Acts I, II, and IV. For now, that does not include new monster abilities or increases to map size.
Materials in Hardcore Auction House
I don't really know why Subtle Essence is more expensive than their Nightmare and Hell counterparts in the Hardcore Auction House, but if I had to guess I’d say there is a greater demand for those materials since Normal difficulty generally has a large population, but very few players seem to stick around and farm it. Personally, I know I crafted a lot more items in Normal difficulty than I did in Nightmare and Hell, and that may have something to do with it too. (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)
Hint on Diablo's fate
Diablo has fallen more than once, but that has not been enough to put an end to his evil... The question is, has he truly been slain this time? Only time will tell. :-) (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)
At Blizzard, we love running contests, and one of our longest-running contests is the Blizzard Comic Contest. The goal of the contest is simple: create a fun original comic based on the Warcraft, Diablo, or StarCraft universe and submit it to us for a chance at some fabulous prizes we give away each month! We really enjoy sharing the creativity of our community, so your comics also might also be featured on the official site.
This month, our prize is especially diabolical! We’ll be giving away a Diablo III: Book of Cain to the winner of the March Blizzard Comic Contest.
To help inspire you, here are five recently-featured Diablo comics created by players just like you!
So sharpen your favorite pencil or boot up your favorite painting program and let the creativity flow! Once your comic is complete, make sure to submit it to us, and you might be the next artist to take home a prize! Just remember that if you want a shot at the Diablo III: Book of Cain, you’ll need to submit your comic to us before April 1st.
Interested to see other Blizzard comics? Check out our Warcraft and StarCraft comic sections.
UI seems ok, stands out off of the screen a little more than I'd like, on the pc it blends in a little better, as to on the ps3 it seems suspended on the screen. A little nervous about the DH Discipline as well, seems as if the liquid won't have the same animation, but yeah after all, how much can you get from a still pic:)
