Also, for those of us that play SP, the stat/skill point reset was not implemented to affect those wishing to play SP. Aside from all of the other points mentioned, this is my biggest gripe.

Avast ye! Scyberdragon be te thank for the sig, arr!
it does exist in SP. I don't know about pre-exisitng characters, but my pally has essences from diablo so I am sure you can create the token. I also created a new character and went through the den and got the respec.

It's the same for online as it is offline. If its a pre existing character you must get to hell to get the points relocated.

So how does the D-clone spawn now? If they really did eliminate duping, then there is no possible way to sell SOJs. So is he gone now or what? There must be a way to get annis...
On a side note, has any one transformed the essences to see if it still has the same effect as it did on the test realm?

Thank you for reducing my ignorance on this subject. It is indeed true that you must complete the Den of Evil quest in Hell mode to obtain relocation of skill and stat points. I was farming gear on Nightmare difficulty and wondered why I wasn't seeing it. Now, I know why.
Thanks, Umpa! Long live Reptar!

Well, there's the respec you get from the Den in each difficulty, and then once you use those up, you mix the three essences from bosses in Hell to make the consumable crystal.
Actually look at this!
Quote from The Arreat Summit »
Skill Respecialization System
In 2009, there was a new talent respec system added that refunds your talent and stat points. There are two ways to respec:
a) Den of evil quest reward that can be used at any time (max of 3 since you can only complete a quest once for each difficulty)
New potion made from the cube. To create it you combine 4 items that are collected off of different bosses in nightmare. The components have a pretty low drop rate.
Well "soon" has come a year late but at least they attempted to reconcile their initial errors. Not really a note there worth installing though for me. As I know it will still be hacked up again in a few months of release.
Unless of course some kind of miracle has prevented such a thing.....
They should have fixed the game being too adictive.
Although I do think that with adictions, the most important factor is oneself (the affected) and it's will.
Therefore, they should have fixed me.
Damn them.

Which is unlikely.
