PS- All the people saying, "Oh, judging off beta/Wait for game to judge." Shut up, I'm so sick of people who don't understand theorycrafting..or emulators..who still have the audacity to make comments. Do some research before posting, thanks.
you sir are being way to rash. theorycrafting a game before its out yet is like eating a turkey before its cook, compleletly useless and utterly retarded.
Its much harder, I will give you that, as the info is quantitative and qualitative.
But I wouldn't dare say its impossible, because it's obviously not.
Just kinda goes to show you what you consider impossible, probably isn't.

yeah, because they revealed sooo much non-overlapping info. or, you know, you could just state one or two key examples
So, you do already know about it... But if you already knew, then why would you want me to present it?
Ohh yes thats right, your pathetic excuse of a trap to bait me into being unwilling to tell you information you already clearly knew.
Obviously if you demand something ridiculous, said person doesn't comply, therefore they lose, and you win by default.
Nice argument and reasoning skills, probably honed by watching Faux News.
read previous post again lol....
So childish....and so easily predictable.
You know my favorite movie quote? Comes from Bandits (2001)
Terry: You know the hardest thing about being smart? Joe: No. Terry: I always pretty much know what's gonna happen next. There's no suspense.

There is that, as well as the official info released about inferno.
You just have to put all the small pieces together to see the bigger picture.
more specifics, please.
I won't ask for a 'link', just tell me what these 'official info' 'small pieces' are about.
You want me to describe every single piece of official info blizzard has said describing inferno?
Nah, I got better things to do...But you go ahead and read up on it.
Yah yah, i know whats coming next,
"lolz that proves you are full of shit. Otherwise you would post it!!!"
I knew the angle all along. Before you even thought about it, I already knew it would happen.
Sry champ, but it won't work.

so your basically basing all this on the assumption that inferno will be a insta-gib fest? or should I say 'carefully theory crafted conclusion wrought from monster stats from a. [data-mined info from beta] or b. [outdated guidebook]?

Oh.... there are monsters which are immune to slow, but lets "theorycraft" a litte more: There will be stun immune monsters as well!
HOLY SHIT, WE ARE ALL FUCKED!
As well, how often will teleport-monsters teleport, will very fast monsters be stun or slow immune and so on... there are just too many factors missing and the DH has so many movementspeed bonuses, that i doubt 50% of the monsters will be faster.
Who said there are mobs immune to slow?

By that logic wizard and witch doctor will never solo inferno as well because enemies will just own them when they catch up to them
No... The wizard has a large array of defensive maneuvers, including stuns. More importantly, and more on topic, she also has defensive passive abilities. Your character is obviously going to get hit eventually, and thats when these things kick in to save you. The WD is in a similar situation, whilst the DH is out in the cold.
I would say the DH is the glass cannon, but in inferno glass is far too rigid to describe how fragile she really is.

It just means the since there are no heavy defence passives, DH will just require more skill. Thats it. Correct use of the defensive and manuvering skills you have will get you a long way prolly.
Well at least someone kind of someone is trying to post constructively, instead of just flaming and trolling.

I think Caltrops and Entangling shot could slow them down, and using evasive fire with smoke screen and vault should do the rest. I dont see the problem.
I see a problem. The build you just listed is laughably bad, no offense.
Did you even read the OP? Slows are great, but the game has a lot of mechanics build in to allow the demons to completely negate slows. Once that happens the defenseless DH has nothing....she just gets pwned.
Another problem is that smoke screen is basically mandatory.
Don't even consider making a build without it.

You can theorycraft all you want, but evidently things often work very differently in practice than you might think, simply because the tooltips do not provide every single piece of information that you can learn in game. So yes, you can theory craft and reach a conclusion, but that conclusion is based on half the truth. Simple, really.
Actually my theorycrafting is rarely, if ever wrong.
I am not bragging really, I am just saying that this game is not complicated and if you think about things long enough you can easily see how things will play out.
It most certainly is a game that is soloable, or its supposed to be. Coordinated group play will absolutely dominate inferno, long before anyone dreams of accomplishing it solo. Blizz dropped the ball again, and the balance in this regard is going straight out the window.
Yes this is theorycrafting as well, but like I said I am not wrong very often.
and you probably KNOW what will the wold look like in 2050.....
Yah, its not going to be pretty, because we are refusing to take the necessary preventative measures that no one is office is even talking about. At least china is on the right page...

If a monk with perfect gear, utilizing One With Everything to maximum potential, still has a rough time in Inferno--There's not one chance in a rice field that a DH, no matter how perfect their gear is, or how well they spec, can solo it.
Lol, why would you need passive defensive ability if u have stuns, slows, vanish, vault etc ? I am not sure that I see your point here, you wanna say, you shouldn't die in inferno even if you just rely on passive skills while not bothering using active skills ?
EDIT: I checked DH skills, I found defensive skill for EVERY slot, including passive skills. Trolololololol thread
There is one stun I can think of thats not based completely on luck....and it has a long cooldown.
I don't make troll threads, I am 100% serious.
If other classes will have a hard time in inferno, the DH is just fucked in this instagib style gameplay. She just has no chance...

The title says it all. Their only real escape from monster in inferno is Smoke Screen: all other defensive/mobility moves cannot protect you against high speed/warp/pull/tunnel type monsters.
If an elite group has a tunnel/warp/pull/teleport mod on them, then I don't see how a class with zero passive defense boosts--besides anything but gear--will have a chance at surviving. What are you going to do, use slows and/or Vault away? They will be on you again in a second, and you'll die because you have no way to bolster your defenses.
If a monk with perfect gear, utilizing One With Everything to maximum potential, still has a rough time in Inferno--There's not one chance in a rice field that a DH, no matter how perfect their gear is, or how well they spec, can solo it.
DH is the most gear dependent class for this reason. Anyone planning on soloing, be warned...you won't do very well, even while starting in nightmare/hell there will be problems.

Maybe, but you know what they say about avoidance.
Eventually if fails you and you get instagibbed, and they had healers when they said that.
Also, the monk has just as much Dex, and likely far more dodge.
