What are you guys talking about with the third person view he entire campaign is first person anf theres only two damn gmae typs in thirdperson. everything else in the game is first person. So if you don't like third person just dont play it.
Yes, well, have a detailled explanation handy next time, I saw 3rd person videos and all I know is you could play that way. Doesn't say much, does it?
Well, its lame because i expect better stuff from IW... But nope. Everybody is complaining about this game... It has 3rd person view (which is good but its supposed to be an fps) and now its also leaked to the pc a week before its released... I mean... if thats not lame then what is.
Wow, what? So it has 3rd person...
3rd person is always better than first person, I don't mean its funnier there, I mean its an advantage to look around corners and such.
CoD should rely on leaning for these things. Now, make sure you have 3rd person on, or you are at a disadvantage.

Random hosts is certainly not the best way to go if you want to get rid of hacks !
Seriously. Did they say that it would help against hacking? If they did, thats just sad...
Exactly how does matchmaking do this? You can party up with your friends and still play with them, vote on maps, search for a certain gametype, etc.
You don't know the difference between set servers and matchmaking? There is no actual "place" to go to. Its completely different and don't get me started when it comes to mod.

Infinity Ward did this because of all of the hackers and pirates, you guys only have yourselves to blame. Plus it will cut down on lag.
Seriously, how pathetic of an excuse can you or they find? Hackers and pirates? I'm sure they'll find a way anyway, thats just dumb for anyone to think otherwise. You always needed something to authenticate yourself online, even if thats only a cd-key, and that always worked.
Steam, TF2, CSS are the perfect examples. Are there pirates and hackers? Sure. But its quite the meaningless.
And about actual -hacks-, matchmaking or normal protections like Valve does is exactly the same god damn thing. I'd argue matchmaking can be worse, because you have less control over where you are going and can't be sure of any place that is well administered.

See above.
See above. The only slightly viable reason is pirating, and I don't see how its going to stop it. Games that laugh in the people's face to try to slow down pirating got shit back in their face. Look at EA and DRM. They -WILL- pay for what they are doing. In this day and age, you have to encourage people to buy their product and respect them, not laugh in their face to stop pirating, because that actually make people pirate them more.
But what the fuck, right. They never learn.

Exactly what is so bad about dedicated servers anyway? I personally enjoy matchmaking, less lag, less time consuming.
Less lag? Don't make me laugh. Ignorance, much.

lolumad?
Its my normal attitude. My posts would be deleted in an instant if I was mad.
Wow for once someone gets it. we should be friends
Seriously though, I don't see the big deal. I played PC for two years and I liked servers, I also like matchmaking, either way this game WILL RAPE.
Yeah, someone getting it is just someone not giving a crap. Matchmaking completely suck Freedom out of the window. There is nothing wrong with matchmaking by itself, what is wrong is throwing dedicated servers out of the windows.
Why the fuck they can't do both?
Because the makers are morons, is really my only answer. Even on console, having something closer to dedicated server would be good. In Halo 3, it was requested a lot, a "server list" at least and all that, but nooo, just throw matchmaking and everything is fine, right?
But you guys don't care, so you guys probably deserve to slowly lose everything you never had. You'll still buy things no matter how obvious they are just trying to abuse their customers. So yeah, just keep it, you'll get what you're asking for.
No, its a fact that PC is better than console for shooters, control wise. A keyboard and a mouse is just logically better. Its like saying using just a keyboard alone to play a game is "better" because thats what you like. Its not. It has more limits. A controller is more limited than a mouse and a keyboard, for shooters at least.
Its not a fact but an opinion if you prefer it on console. And there is nothing wrong with that.
It is true that it works on both, and one of the particularity on console is that players are on an equal playing field, and the limits on your view and movements can actually play a role on the gameplay.
All this is thrown in the trash though if playing with a Keyboard & Mouse on said console is possible.
They can die in a crap hole for the rest of their silly lives now if they don't change this. Let them all fall, thats what they deserve for trying to ruin gaming. One day, only the best will remain.
No seriously, I had little intentions of buying that game and yet it pisses me off.
What the fuck is going on with the gaming world? Well, in the world in general, too, but why gaming too? How freakin' sad can it get?
Someone mentioned L4D. It did the exact same thing. Everyone got angry. It took way too long for anything to come out. The game's community and the game itself (mod wise, etc) barely developed.
I don't really understand this paragraph. So, you want to be able to control the way you die?
Well, in a way, yes. I mean, what happened here, someone threw a grenade at me from far away and it explodes the very moment its close enough to kill me.
I couldn't even see where he was.
The result is: No matter what I could possibly do, no matter my skills, I was doomed. I died, and had no way whatsoever to get out of it.
There are lots of other things like that, but generally you can "protect" yourself with good positioning and knowing the map, and all that jazz. Still, too often I just felt I didn't just die because I wasn't good enough, but I was just "cheap shotted". Do note that I'm a Unreal Tournament kind of guy. I like in your face show off where skill determines the winner, not putting a knife in someone's back So its fair to say CoD is just not "my" style of shooter.
I still enjoy its incredible atmosphere, however. In multiplayer, the feeling that you are really at war is... well, just insane.

I've seen a few people complaining about this. Games have been this price for quite a long time, why are people still "surprised" at this?
Here, for me, because its just another CoD4. It doesn't even look different. I'm personally sick of gaming companies pretending they can just enhance a game, label it "new" and stick a 60$ price on it.
I paid 60$ (was actually 70$) for the first CoD4 and don't regret it, even if my 360 is broken now and I didn't play it that much, because it was really a new game.
Don't get me wrong, looks nice and all, but to me, it sounds like 60$ for what is nothing but an upgrade to the last game. A bit the L4D2 bullshit.
As far as the game is concerned, I guess it'll please fan of the genre. Seriously, people seems to love cheap ass multiplayer where everything is about backstabbing people in every possible ways. Its a lot of fun in a way... but I don't know of a game that frustrates me with retarded death that I had no control to possibly avoid except dumb luck, and this goes over and over and over again.
I guess it does give you a feel of real life, because you know, in war, everything is far right? Too bad, games have to be as annoying as real life these days.
Anyway. I'd still get the game if it wasn't so pricey.
But the mass is drowning in it like its the new best game of the decade.
I feel the need to point out I'm not part of that mass.
Yes, well, have a detailled explanation handy next time, I saw 3rd person videos and all I know is you could play that way. Doesn't say much, does it?

Not quite the word I'd use at all.

And I'm inclined to agree. There are no words for this.
This is seriously hilarious in a bad way... I'm amazed...

I'm not the one caring.
