LOL you all crack me up, look around you, look at the evidence that exists on this planet... to give you a head start these are good topics to look at yourself
1. Did you all know the sumerians knew of all the planets at least 7000 years ago? how is this possible? they didn't have telescopes!
2. Did you all know that the sumerians counted the planets from out to in? (the ramifications of this single fact mean everything you have ever been taught is wrong!)
3. Look up va-243 its a cylindral cuniform disk in a museum in berlin(its shows the knowledge the sumerians had of our solar system, they show all our solars systems planets in correct size and orbit, heheheh note the number
4. Did you know that in the hundreds of thousands of cuniform tablets that we have recovered from the middle east, the sumerians talk about who made them, where they came from, what they taught them, and never once do sumerians claim to have discovered over 100 of the worlds firsts they are credited for, they always say and talk about who taught them(annunaki) or 'those who descended from above'
5. Go do a little research on the ruins at baalbek, what you find is world shattering...
6. Go do a little research on the ruins of machu pichu in central america, what you find is world shattering.....
7. Go do a little research on the pyramids they just found in bosnia, yes thats right BOSNIA!!! the pyramid of the sun in bosnia is bigger than the great pyramid at Giza :P......
8. Do a google search for the nasa astronomy guy harrington, look up his well documented discussion with zecharia sitchin on there beliefs and what nasa knows that they won't tell you about our own solar system.........(there is a great video that anyone can find of them having a personal discussion at Nasa :P)
9. Do a little research on the sphinx and the pyramids at giza and you will realize that they are alot older than you think, as well as not humanly possible to build.....
10. Do alot of research on the megolithic monuments around the world that predate the deluge, ruins in, guam, saipan, new zealand, vietnam, iraq, lebanon, egypt, missouri, mexico, peru, easter island, and many many more
11. Realize that 75 percent of your bible comes from the papul vul and enuma enlish creation tablets from ancient olmecs and sumerians............
12. these writings tell the same story as your present day bible but with much greater detail, but are at least 7000 years older than your bible ;P
13. Do a little research and ask your priest at church why the bible has misinterprited the hebrew and aramaic versions of the words Elohim and nephalim, what you find will be world shattering...
14. do a little research on why Vatican city owns and controls the only high powered telescope in the southern hemisphere
15. Research the works of Zecharia sitchin, lloyd Pie, ray childress, graham hancock, jason martell, Richard hoagland, David Icke, Jon Maars, and what you will find will be earth shattering.....
16. Ask yourself why have we found 100,000 year old mining shafts in africa then go research the above authors, what you find will be earth shattering
17. Do a little research on the megolithic ruins they have just found underwater of the kyoto island of japan..... totally earth shattering.....
18. Do a little research on the hieroglyphics at abydos in egypt and realize there are helicopters, airplanes, tanks, a-bombs on ancient ruins on writings on the wall that are at least 5000 years old
19. Do a little reserch on Nasa and the moon, Do you all realize where the moon came from or how it is not a natural satillite of earth?
20. do a little research on our own solar system and the unexplainable asteroid belt between earth and mars
21. Do a little research on the Cydonia pictures of mars
22. do a little research on the recently released human genome mapping, and how our genetic makeup doesn't appear in any other species on this planet :P(which means we didn't evolve on this planet)
23. Ask yourself why is the usa so interested in going back to the moon, and then to mars what do they know from the ancient texts that is there
24. do a little research on the antikera mechanism we found on a shipwreck dating from 200 b.c. that blows up everything you have ever been taught about history....
25. Do a little more research on phobos incident of one of nasa's space probes....
26. Do a little research on nasa footage that has finally been released that shows objects in space do unexplainable movements
27. Basically open your minds, realize the evidence that exists on this planet from our own ancient history that exists and tells a whole different story that what you will learn in a stupid classroom.........
28. And if you all want more this is just the tip of the iceberg
cite all your bullshit... because most of it is illegitimate theories or personal opinion... i belive that there is other life out there but you provided no factual information.
Are you sure? Because I remember the close up pictures that nasa released showing what they suspected to be a micro-organism.
only compounds from what they suspect are decomposed somethings... if we had actually found something of that sort there would be a major rush to get back to mars and explore more... but no... just chemicals that hint...
It would be absurd to conclude that there are no other living organisms in the universe. I mean, we are terrible creatures, there has to be good out there somewhere...
Hopefully if there are aliens they are like the ones off of Star Trek or Star Wars
no matter whats out there its gonna have the same mentality as we do... whats best for ME... thats how evolution and darwins theory of evolution (survival of the fittest) mold us into who and what we are and do...
Good analysis gamma. However, I doubt that formula is able to take into account some of the unusual circumstances we've found ourselves in on Earth. For example, we have an unusually gigantic moon which helps pull asteroids away from Earth. Some scientists theorize that our large moon is the only reason we've survived long enough to advance as far as we have.
I really don't know if those kinds of considerations are accounted for in this formula, but here's my general mode of thought on the subject. I'm almost positive we're going to discover life on other planets. The sheer numbers are staggeringly in favor of it. Basically all you need is an rocky planet that's the correct distance away from it's star to have liquid water. Scientists already know that we're going to find countless planets that meet these specifications, nearly any of which could harbor life, albeit this life would most likely be types of algae and bacteria.
The challenge isn't going to be finding a planet with life, it's going to be finding another planet with life of intelligence comparable to ours. However, if you think about it... we're not gonna find them, they're gonna find us. If we find life, it will be burgeoning life that probably can't communicate. The life with superior intelligence will also be searching, much like we will, and they'll probably contact us before we even know they're there, simply because they're more advanced than we are.
Our existence has been in the blink of an eye, so the intelligent life out there is likely to have existed far longer than we have, because the odds of them evolving at the same time as us are astronomically small (pun intended :P). With this in mind, they probably have the technology to search the universe and locate us with ease. If they exist, they've probably been watching us for a long time now. Some would argue that the fact that they haven't contacted us should be proof enough that this advanced life doesn't exist, but maybe they're just waiting for the right time to say hi...
yea i agree for the most part but we have the perfect environment for our type of life... we do not know yet if life can survive off of different molecules... we are carbon based and require oxygen to breathe and support our life functions... the only thing that they have been talking about as far as planets go is them being in the habitibable zone of a star... they are leaving ope the thoughts that if a planet is a gas planet or a terrestrial (rocky) planet there might be other molecules that can provide a basis of life... and i think they havent contacted us yet because they are smart...we are eventually going to kill ourselves off regardless of what anybody else thinks... the earth has been through many many mass extinction events and were overdue for another one... the next one probably wont be a natural phenomenon though... it willl probably be at the hands of our own technology...
The Drake equation states that:
where: N is the number of civilizations in our galaxy with which communication might be possible; and R* is the average rate of star formation per year in our galaxyfp is the fraction of those stars that have planetsne is the average number of planets that can potentially support life per star that has planetsfℓ is the fraction of the above that actually go on to develop life at some pointfi is the fraction of the above that actually go on to develop intelligent lifefc is the fraction of civilizations that develop a technology that releases detectable signs of their existence into spaceL is the length of time such civilizations release detectable signals into space.[2]
the only problem with the drake equation is that you can throw whatever data you want into it... but with realistic data compiled by nasa they figured it to be 2.31 more advanced civilizations in our galaxy... this is pretty good estimate seeing as how our galaxy alone is 10,000 light years thick and 300,000 light years wide...

there are no fossils on martian soil yes... but thats mostly because we have explored almost nothing... mars is more susceptible to cosmic events and stuff but part of the reason scientists believe life might have ceased on mars is due to the fact that the magnetic field around mars is gone but is still existant on earth... and with each passing day, there is less and less of a chance that well ever find anything because everything is moving away at a mind boggling rate but there is an infiniate number of stars with an equally infinate number of planets orbiting them... this creates in infiniate number of possibilities for life to pop up on a planet...
eh sometimes on nice clear nights... since i live in the middle of nowehre... i like to just go outside and look up... imagine... dream... i cant w8 till something contacts us... if ever... way longer odds than needle in a haystack... odds are closer to find a specific needle on earth...
idc that they made pyramids i just wanna know HOW they made them... with the vast pathways and trapdoors and stuff... just wanna know if it was just animals and hard work or if it was something else and what other reason are they for?
I guess aliens could exist. They did find that Mars could hold life after all. Have you seen the whole universe lately. I know i have not, because we have not even got far from our galaxy. It could be a possibility that there are other lifeforms out there.
we havent left our galaxy... lol... the farthest we have ever sent a ship was bout the kuiper belt... i think thats theright belt... ne way the galaxy is about 10,000 light years thick and 300,000 light years wide (maybe its 3,000,000 but i think 300,000) ... lol we wont leave it for a while
