....ok well I apparently just blacked out while reading the rules. One of my threads was closed, but I didn't explicitly state that the gear would be sold on the RMAH.
What are you talking about? Did you even read the post? I'm talking about deals that are performed solely through the RMAH. How is that any more scam-susceptible than finding the auction directly? You're simply finding a buyer here, all of the other protections that are in place in teh RMAH still apply.
So I understand that the current rules prohibit trading gear for real cash in the trading forums, and under most circumstances I can understand why. However, as DIII supports trading in real currency via the RMAH, why can't we do the same here?
I may have a piece that I want to sell only on the RMAH, but also would like to advertise here. I would start an auction (in $$$) and then post the item in the RMAH, letting the winner know when I will post it so that he can grab it.
Is it because it is too hard to track? It seems like you could allow for this sort of trading without allowing outside trades via PayPal or whatever. Just a thought.
