Well I hope they don't go fir the usually pearly white look from hollywood movies, I want something a little darker.
Trying to remember heaven in the "Kenny gets a PSP" episode of South Park.
OMG how epic was that battle? It was easily 10 times more epic than the battle at the end of Lord of The Rings.
Sorry if this is off topic, but I think the idea was to contrast the evil of the forces of Sauron with those of Gondor, and wasn't it described that way in the books, anyway? Or are you talking about the Black Gate episode?
Oh, wait, I just realized what I think you mean. Do you mean you don't want the cathedral to look all white and shiny like Minas Tirith? Because in that regard I completely agree (although I don't think I was disagreeing with anything in the first place. Agh, confused xD ); since the cathedral was corrupted in Diablo I, it definitely should havea very, very dark cast to it. And while I'm on it, I wish the cathedral in the Monastary in Diablo II had those red-glassed candle light that is so prevelent in most original Catholic cathedrals. I always found it eerily fascinating.
I absolutely loved the look of the big cathedral at the top of the village of Tristram in Diablo 1, it was pretty awe inspiring with its huge belfry, and red glowing lights, and the little graveyard with very gothic head stones, though most were standard granite ones.
To make the best of any gothic architecture they'd put in III, they'd definitely need a First Person view, or some way of really looking up in to the sky and such, because for me, the ceilings of cathedrals that seem to stretch to the heavens themselves are what give me a sense of awe. Think of that, being able to see the pinnacles of the Chaos Sanctuary or the original cathedral, or the Monastary
Diablo frowns upon you.
