I'm not seeing math, I'm seeing a lot of bragging but not a lot of math. You're stating the obvious by saying "2h hits bigger than 1h." The individual attacks do not matter, it's the overall damage in a window that matters. Equivalent DPS is going to be equivalent overall.
That being said, yes 2h is better if you're almost a glass cannon, stacking as much damage as you can and hoping to burst things down. If you can do that in T6 then more power to you, I really want to see your character because that sounds cool. However against anything that outlives your pool, you'll still have to build that back up, and 1h builds resources VERY quickly.
I don't want to turn this into a dickwaving contest but I do want to see your character. I personally prefer 2h and I want to see your very effective setup.

Keep Arcane Orb up; this instantly casts without time or animation so you can hit it whenever needed. Keep your buffs up of course! This is a very tanky build so you can stand in the face of things, but you want to move out of things that wind up and hit with a stun, and you don't want to stand in things if possible. I can stand in Belial's face in T3 and not have to move until he starts the bomb spam.
Teleport is really an optional choice, if something else is better for your playstyle go for it. I use that Familiar rune because everything will be clustered around you and it turns out to be a lot of AOE damage. I use those passives for survivability and the snare helps with some things that choose to run.
When attacking, I try to round up all of the melee and start triggering the bombs. This is important to figure out because just being close to something won't always set them off; you can be as close as possible to some enemies but at some angles you won't trigger the explosions. You will need to figure out what each enemy needs by moving around. Spam Spectral Blades, press Arcane Orb every 3-4 seconds. AO casts will not interrupt your SB spam. If things get bad (usually because of a Waller with some sort of AOE), Teleport out. You can also use Teleport to get into the middle of groups for more AOE damage if the situation calls for it.
Weaknesses Xah’Rith absolutely demolishes this build. I don't believe it's a problem with how I play it but because you spend the entire fight vs him slowed, while he naturally runs away, and with the split and teleport it's extremely hard to do real damage to him before being overwhelmed. Anything that creates Walls can be a problem as well because you are going to want to be within melee range already. Things that hit extremely hard in melee are usually dodgeable, though. AOE proc elites can be trouble because they will block you in and then drop all of their AOE right on top of you, making movement impossible; this is why Teleport is used, but it has a cooldown.
This looks like that Orbital Bombardment build
While we both use the orbiting orbs and the legendary neck, my build is centered around really being in the face of things. The double shielding procs help with survivability at the expense of some damage; if you have a LOT of Toughness you could of course change those. I have 1.3m Toughness so I need them. The main difference is that his build is focused much more around being Glass Cannon and making up for the extra damage taken while mine is all-in survivability while trying to increase your damage with gear and playstyle. Grouping things together and learning how to trigger orbs can be massive damage.
Required items:
Moonlight Ward - The proc adds more explosions, you will be constantly spawning these and they will constantly be going off.
Fragment of Destiny - As high Spectral Blade bonus as possible
Desired stats on all gear - % arcane damage, % Spectral Blade, % Arcane Orb, Attack Speed (if you have huge amounts of crit, stay with that).
Attack speed vs crit
I personally stack attack speed because the main part of the build is spamming SB. However, I can absolutely see an argument to only stack crit since AO and the proc orbs don't benefit from attack speed. It's up to you to figure out what works for you.

It seems blue and white crafting reagents can drop directly without having to pick up blue/white items and salvaging them ! This is great ! Is it only from the cache or from the monsters also ?
Currently only from caches. Well, atleast what I've seen. Someone correct me if I'm wrong!
It's a shame Having to pick up irrelevant items just to salvage them one after the other just to get components seams useless, droping components would be less of a chore.
That sounds like too much effort. Maybe it can also auto-loot the materials, then walk me over to the crafter and hand me the best in slot item instantly. Then I can press the spacebar and have it automatically teleport to a group of monsters and do all the fighting and looting for me. When I get bored of that I can just click "done" and be handed a full compliment of best in slot gear, paragon 100000, and a beautiful woman for the night.
Hello Chelate. Does people cheating and getting done with the game in 2 hours sound fun? How about people that die on hardcore then just reupload the toon over a USB as much as they want. Does that sound fun?
Why do I give a damn what other people do with their characters? If the system isn't going to stop people from hacking their characters then that's on them, but it has no affect on me.
How about some pvp? Oh wait now you can strafe around people like in WoW so instead of skill playing a major part it just comes down to how good you are at being cheap. Does getting pwned over and over sound fun too? Yeah i dont think so.
Soooo "skilled pvp" to you is standing still facing each other and mashing buttons? Who cares, you have to be crazy to pvp in a game that doesn't have server stored characters precisely because of the possibility and probability of some kind of hacking.
It really sounds like the console version is going to be a lot more fun to play. Every class having a quick dodge sounds fun, being able to "lock onto" an enemy and strafe around them sounds fun, no AH sounds fun, better droprates and *whites turning into gold automatically* sounds fun.
I hope they bring these features to the PC because I don't want to have to buy this game again just to play a more fun version.

No it didn't. They released the bad dueling system because people WOULD NOT STOP ASKING. It's a stopgap even if it's bad but people were demanding something.
At least the game seems to be taking a positive turn. All the really weird ideas that turned out to be bad were pimped by Jay who insisted they'd be super fun and we just had to see them. Then we saw them and they were just awful. Now the team is doing a 180 on a lot of the problems and fixing them.
It's going to get a lot better. I'm excited for the new systems and I haven't really been excited for most of the implemented features so far. Paragon is kinda cool but since it's an item dropping game, it really needs to be about items. The only thing I'm worried about is they seem really hesitant to get into crafting and item customization, which were the 2 things that kept people in D2.
The only way that adding a socket wouldn't be a choice is if there was any fun benefit to adding sockets. Right now we'd just toss in the mainstat gem. That's boring as hell. If there were reasons to add different gems for different purposes then it'd be fun.
Making mainstat gems was a huge mistake on their part because it's boring. They'd have to start offering new gems that added different things beyond static stats, maybe adding procs and effects. I would be fine with having to add sockets if that meant I could add CtC different spells (especially ones not of my class), or life leech, or things besides main stats; if they were good enough then there would be less inclination to ONLY gem main stats. Socketables is a great idea and it's pretty sad they did NOT include things like them; I remember their justification for not adding runes was "it makes the game too complicated."
Designers really need to stop treating their players like moronic children.
The inevitable is happening. Nine months ago, many people were claiming D3 was a complete bombing of the franchise, now were getting into a spot where D3 is shaping up to be better than ever. By patch 1.10.0, D3 will be a completely different game, but nonetheless built up from the "failure" we got back in May last year.
With posts like these from the blues, I smile every time I hear "D3 is dead".
It's no coincidence that once Jay left, all the devs started trashcanning his very stupid ideas (that he vehemently defended) such as "int on barb only items because FINDING MORE THINGS IS FUN"
I really like what D3 is becoming since 1.0.7. I just wish it was like this a year ago :/
