It works... exceedingly well. It was quite expensive (actually cheaper than my last PC laptop), but I don't have to fight with it to get it to work. And, it runs Windows (as well as Windows can be run) if I absolutely need to play a game which was made by a programmers who lack the skill to make a program which works in Mac OS X.
With a Mac I do lose something that I used to have as a PC (Windows) user. That was the sense of accomplishment I would so rarely get when I actually managed to trick my computer into running a program correctly. My PC (It was a laptop, as is my Mac) couldn't run most games that it should have been able to because neither the company who made the video card, nor the company which produced the laptop would make drivers for it, so I was stuck with the ones that it came with for the entire time I had it. I suppose with all the money I was (or wasn't, actually) saving, I should have enrolled in a video driver programming course...
Hahahaha what the hell are you talking about?

The Barbarian is from Arreat, a very cold snowy mountain top, but they are much tougher than normal humans, so they don't need warmth.

Where are Barbarians originally from? Sumeria, or more specifically Mesopotamia, AKA Europe. Think the Alps and the Pyrenees
I just installed it on an old SiS chipset with basic dx7 integrated graphics.
So I'm pretty sure that's not the problem.
I'm 100% sure it's the operating system, more specifically the graphics drivers for that os.
EDIT:Quick web search reveals that since Leopard build 10.5.2, the 256 color support in the drivers for Intel IGPs and nVidia GPUs has been removed. "Classic environment" gone. Maybe updating drivers to latest beta will fix the problem.
This as well: Diablo 2 does not support OpenGL under Mac OS. You have to select 'Software' under Video in Diablo II Options before you can launch it for the first time (otherwise it will crash as you described). After that, click on Battle.net and download the update. You can then change your graphics settings to whatever you want using Diablo II Options.
There is an installer on the Diablo2 webite that claims to be for "Diablo (OS X), but requires another pc capable of d2 installation for you to play d2 on your macbook so NO GO.

With the destruction of the worldstone, a rift has opened in the fabric of Sanctuary's time-space continuum, forcing would-be heroes to set off on quests already completed and visiting areas previosly seen.
Starring Leslie Nielsen as the enigmatic Cain and Arnold Schwarzenegger reprising a role as the Barbarian.
Coming soon in theaters near you.

Played it a bit at a friend's house (I don't own a ps3).
And in a couple of hours besides dying a few times I can't say there was anything revelating. It's a Team Japan game I think.

I've seen this clip already and that's exactly what he says.
And the "we've sworn to secrecy part" is just a joke I think.
Though if you can search for the images online, I'd love to do some detective work, I guess I got a good 10 mins before I collapse in bed lol.

I tried starting D2 and LoD again ever since I joined this forum. Attempted 4 times...with friends, solo, specific char bulds (didn't try mods though) etc. and I could never play more than a few hours before uninstalling.
