1. The one-slot, one-item system Diablo III currently has I really like, I wanted them to do that. I played Kult:Heretic Kingdoms for a bit with the same system, and it was pretty convenient. This removes the need for jigsaw puzzles so you can quickly know if you are full or not.
2. If charms are present, I want them to have their own small inventory section. I also want keys, town portals, and other things that every character will have to be in their own separate section.
3. Inventory expanding items, such as the cube and bags should visually expand the inventory while they are in it (aka Guild Wars) instead of having to click on them every time you want to put something in or get something out.
4. Potions cannot be put into the inventory, only the belt.
5. Make a stash, and make it huge. Either way, there will be muling, I don't see a difference between a big stash and muling. People who mule will have an advantage, and single player people would be very disadvantaged since they can't mule at all. That advantage should be eliminated. The only way to eliminate is make the stash relatively big. How big is for Blizzard to decide.
6. Add item doubling to weapon swap. What I mean is, allow to use the same shield, but different weapons when pressing W (or whatever hotkey it would be).
I like the ideas posted here. I hated all those large and small charms taking up space in my inventory. How about having a set number of charm slots on your character? You would start with maybe 1 slot and over the course of leveling would unlock new charm slots. I think that would be better than filling up the whole right side of your inventory with Large Charms.
I've been playing Team Fortress 2, I just quit Age of Slownan. I just ordered myself a new D2 battle chest because the old one got f'ed up. I intend to play D2 through with about 5 or 6 other friends completely LEGIT from beginning to end. Hopefully D3 won't be too far away from releasing. I friggin can't wait for more DIABLO!!!!
Keep Battle.net free. I don't want to pay for what's always been a free to play game.
I'll vote for "It depends, maybe" because I want to see what the game has to offer and what the price would be. I really want to play D3, but having to pay monthly would really be dumb.
Meh, I didn't want to drive anyone out of this conversation, you yourself admitted it could use a bit more Diablo. That's what we're aiming at. It doesn't have to be a 100% overhaul.
Well I think it would be cool if they tweaked it a bit darker, but for me... I still like it now. Darker D3 would only make it better. See now. We really do agree, but I just don't think it is as important as a lot of others.
I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but honestly, even the catacombs looked like fluffy fairytale-land. I don't want to play a game that lacks immersion. Immersion comes from gameplay AND graphics. Now if the graphics are not true to the series, where the hell do you think it's steering? Right down WoW alley. I honestly don't want to play an updated Mythos. What enjoyment will you get if the game PLAYS right but feels crooked?
I understand where you guys are coming from, believe me. I'm a huge Diablo fan as well. The game is looking different than D2, but I think it is a welcome change. Maybe they could make it a bit darker, but I really don't think it looks as cartoony as WoW. It could use a little more "Diablo" injected into it, but I really do like the direction the visual aspect of the game is taking. I understand all of your points, and maybe Blizzard will make changes. I know I will play this game no matter what it looks like in the end. For now, I'm going to get out of this conversation because I don't want to argue over our difference of opinions. If you guys can succeed in making Blizzard hear your cries for change then more power to ya. See you all in game eventually. Peace.
How do you guys know that the rest of the game isn't going to be all "hellish tormented grounds". You saw the intro to 1 level of a game. Chill out, for real. The game will be awesome no matter what. Let them focus on making the game PLAY right, and not what you elitist "impossible to please" people think is the most important thing.
I like the game the way it is. For the love of God you people just love to whine and bitch because it isn't the way YOU want it. QQ
I thought that dungeon was very "diabloesque". The outside world was a bit cheerier, but like someone else said all the evil gods have been gone for 20 years. Don't you think the world would start to look normal again? My 2 cents. Thanks.
watch the gameplay video, and you will change your mind
this game is DARK. Very dark.
I agree. I think most of you people need to stop thinking every game looks like WoW. Get over it. That gameplay video was amazing. Check it out on the official game site.
Yeah the graphics are amazing, and it looks like there are Ragdoll/ Havoc physics on all the enemies and pieces of the environment. I voted for Titan Quest.
I liked the Witch Doctor's look and his abilities. The game just looks amazing. I'm so glad I wont have to be staring at giant pixelated lumps any more
I would like to see them bring back the characters from the Original Diablo. You can have a Male and Female version of all 3 of those chars. Warrior, Mage, and Rogue.
