Don't get me wrong. Necro class in D3. Okay, that's pretty cool. Diablo 1 built into D3? Sure, that's...neat. But in my eyes, this is Diablo's 20th anniversary. I was expecting something JAW DROPPING! And while these additions will no doubt be fun, I don't feel they live up to what could have been and should have been incredible Diablo news.
I, like many, had my hopes set for a few things. A Diablo 4 announcement would have been worthy of the 20th Anniversary. I personally would have been happy with a Diablo 2 HD remake. Whether they decided to make an exact clone or whether they wanted to add or improve certain aspects of the game, a D2 HD remake would have been most welcome. I also wouldn't have been opposed to an entirely new game based in the Diablo Universe yet separate from the core Diablo games. Any of those announcements would have been welcome for Diablo's 20th anniversary.
Now while this is only my personal opinion, and I may be in the minority here, but to me these announcements are lacking. They would have been acceptable for just about any other Blizzcon in my eyes, but this year is special and I feel the announcements don't reflect that. Now I acknowledge that Blizzcon isn't over yet and there's still a chance for something else to be announced, but as it stands right now, I feel the Diablo news from Blizzcon is once again somewhat lackluster and it's just a bit heartbreaking.

I know I've seen a few video guides for other classes that recommend craftable legendary items for new level 70 characters. After a quick forum search for such a video on DH, I came up short.
I just leveled my DH that's been 60 forever to 70 and truth be told, I really know next to nothing about the class. I believe I have most if not all level 70 legendary crafting recipes and plenty of mats so if anyone has any suggestions or have a link to a video with a guide, I'd really appreciate it.

Well, I generally don't rely on my follower for damage, so I'd probably rely on giving them utility gems.
I'm thinking rank 50 Bane of the Trapped for the 30% movespeed reduction aura, rank 50 Gem of Efficacious Toxin for increased damage against poisoned targets from all sources and rank 50 Zei's Stone of Vengence for % chance to stun for extra crowd control.
Perhaps I'm wrong at dismissing my follower's damage though. If they can dish out some solid numbers with legendary gems, that might be a thing.

The reason Shard of Hate is restricted to Cold, Lightning and Poison is because the item was created with a Mephisto theme. Mephisto is the Lord of Hate. In Diablo 2, when you fight Mephisto, he uses 3 elements against you, which are Cold, Lightning and Poison. So, that's the reason that Shard of Hate is limited to those 3 elements due to the Mephisto theme. He's the lord of hate, this is his Shard, these are the elements it will proc with.
Yeah, kinda sucks that there aren't any cool Physical, Arcane or Fire related procs but at least there's a little bit of reasoning behind the madness.

You can't roll health globe bonus on bracers. Only on shoulders, chest, boots, and jewelry.
Furthermore, LoH is not the main mechanism to return life for Crusaders.
I'm not sure what I'd re-roll... maybe monster XP to ranged damage reduction, or maybe leave them un-rolled. If you ever get into a situation where you have too much life and need more all-resist, you could even re-roll vit. For now I'd leave them as they are. Damage-wise of course you could also go for 4% more fire damage but I think that'd be not worth it (might take forever).
Oh, didn't know that. If that's the case, I'd reroll the bonus xp into some other survival stat. Ranged Damage reduction or the resist against the element that gives you the most trouble.

If you're having problems keeping yourself healed, then yes. Rerolling xp into bonus health globe would be your best bet.
Bonus xp is more or less a dead stat on an otherwise solid item. So, if you were to reroll anything, that'd be my suggestion.
That being said, there's enough room for improvement all around that it wouldn't be a bad idea to continue crafting and try to get better ones. I wouldn't do it until you're hard up for upgrades but when the time comes and if you're still using the set, something to consider.

I've done some testing and I can't seem to confirm this but, can EQ even crit? From what I can tell, it can't and if that's the case, I could easily see prioritizing the other damage stats over it by leaps and bounds.
I just got my 3rd piece of the Earth set and with the Ring, I can play with the leaps quakes. However, my build is currently focused almost entirely on crit chance and crit damage. So, if I want to utilize this set, seems to me I'll have to build a completely new set around it, assuming EQ can't crit which from what I can tell it can't.
It just seems that way though. I have it set up that the only damage numbers that should ever pop up are crits and I see crits from Avalanche and every other ability I use but not from EQ. So, if anyone could confirm/deny that, I'd appreciate it.

No, it hasn't always been additive. Pre patch I had a Bonus Dmg vs Elites of 42.88%. I promise you that I have no item that gives a .88% bonus to anything
That being said, I don't have an answer to this question but if I was to guess, I'd say it's working as an additive stat now. I noticed that I'm getting slightly higher damage vs elites than before the patch and couldn't quite figure out the cause. This seems like a plausible explanation, though it could also just be in my head.
Really, you yourself are in a better position to answer this question than most. What was your damage looking like on elites before the patch and have you noticed any difference afterwards? If so, there's your answer.

This may sound silly, but if you're serious about making gold, one relatively good and easy way to do so is by picking up every single yellow (rare) item that drops and vendoring them. Each one is essentially a 4,000 - 5,000 gold pile and I come across more yellows than I do gold piles that large. In a few hours of regular play a day, I can make about 15+ million gold over a weekend without too much effort. It's a bit more time consuming than I'd like, as skipping all the drops and saving those trips to town makes for better/more efficient killing, but you won't get nearly as much gold.
When you're capped at 500 blood shards, spend them all on 5 cost armor pieces and vendor them all. I usually end up getting nearly half a million just by doing that alone.
I don't bother selling blues as they are about 1/3 the value. Whites are worthless beyond salvaging. Just have an empty inventory when you go adventuring and pick up every yellow you find. Everytime you make a trip to town, just vendor them. It's easy money.
Yeah, IMO the Hellfire Ring has gone from a grind to craft the best ring in the game to a grind to craft the best twink item in the game. About the only thing good the Hellfire Ring that really stands out over other legendary/set rings is the fact it can be used at any level with a solid amount of bonus xp.
The ring is still extremely good, especially if you are fortunate enough to have a good roll. But so is pretty much every other legendary ring in the game. It's just this particular level 70 ring can also be used at level 1.

He probably instagibbed the items, and put them down again as he wanted to take a screenie
- Or, he is a murderous liar whose only intent is to fuck with the people on Diablofans.. Who knows?
Quite possible. 2+ legs from a single kill is always impressive. Most people when they see that shiny beam of light they click it instantly. I remember after about an hour's worth of playing one day I went back to town to empty my inventory only to find I had at some point picked up a legendary I didn't even realize I had picked up. It's become so second nature to instantly grab any legendary I see that I almost do it subconsciously anymore.

What everyone is saying is true. All Res is better than VIT. Except I'm sacrificing VIT pretty much everywhere else, bracers was one of the few places I was relying on having VIT rolled. My character only has 185k health, which is on the severely low end right now. If I go Dual Wield, I have much much more. However, I can get away with having 185k health cause I run with a Unity ring on myself and my Templar, so every attack I take in which we both aren't getting hit is reduced by a straight 50% off the top.
At the time, when I rolled those bracers and I was using the gear I had, without the VIT I had less than 100k health. It was like 97,000. It was just simply way too low. But even so, I should have kept the bracers and made the VIT up elsewhere, but in my frustrated fit of anger, I salvaged them.
But I've already got a decent replacement. I'm still on the lookout for Strongarm because I want it for the effect, but what I currently have is solid.

I consider Malthael to be equivalent of at least the next difficulty up of any other boss, if not 2 difficulties up. IE: T1 Malth is about on par with T2 Adria, maybe even T3.
The difficulty ramps up dramatically for that fight and that fight alone. Release night, my friend and I managed to get to 70 and beat everything up to Malth on Torment I (I was carrying him fairly hard). The second we hit Malth, we were getting wrecked. I ended up dropping the game and defeating him on T1 solo, which took some spec tweaking including redoing how I spent Paragon points, but my friend had to drop the game down to hard difficulty to finally beat him. I just couldn't make up the damage my friend was lacking to carry us through the fight. He's a monster and a very difficult yet extremely fun fight.
My advice to you is Health regen is your friend. One thing that really helped me was I changed my Paragon points in Defense from max All Res to max Life Regen. That 8000+ health per second was a godsend. Beyond that, adjust your spec for more survival. When I solo'd him on my barb, Warcry and Threatening Shout were a must. Then it's just practice, learn his routine and beat his ass. Good Luck
