Fuck, someone had to say Tristram. That is by far my favorite place, I loved being the person to get the wirts leg for cow level every game, I enjoyed entering the portal every time.
NOSTALGA!!
Too bad I can't get back into Diablo II like I once was, I tried last year for a couple weeks. I had a HC Amazon to 57 and died and didn't bother to try again, it was OK but I played the game to death.
I do miss my barb though, he was around from 1.06 to when 1.10 was just released, that's when I quit like many others.

Although it looks hardly the same as the first. Wish they took more time with it.

"Pking in Softcore, is like two deaf kids yelling at each other."
My friends and I used to hold regular D2 LAN parties where we'd have up to 8 people playing together in the same room for hours on end. We came up with a Diablo drinking game with the following rules:
Drink every time your character or hireling gains a level.
Drink whenever you return to town.
Drink whenever you pick up a set or unique item.
Everybody slam their beers if a set of items is completed.
Drink whenever a rune is dropped.
Drink whenever a unique moster is defeated.
Social whenever a quest is completed.
All finish beers with a social upon completion of an act.
Drink twice when your hireling dies.
Chug your beer when you're killed (for hardcore drinkers, drink an entirely new beer upon death).
Man we got hammered. I also rememeber one day we were out at dinner and came up with the brilliant idea to make an all paladin team (6 players), each focusing on different skills/auras. Wow was that was an unstoppable force or what.

4 of the 8 people would be "dak" before act 3. DAK= Dead At Keyboard

"Many hints for quests that never made it into the final game can still be viewed on the game's main data file. These include "Izual, the Fallen Angel", in which the player talks to Gillian the barmaid and receives a quest to find and destroy Izual to release his tormented soul. The reward of this quest was likely Azurewrath, a unique sword. Both the quest and the sword were used separately in Diablo II. Another quest involved hunting down the demon queen Andariel. This character appeared later as a boss in Diablo II."
You were correct in a sense in saying Izual, but the question was pertaining to a boss.

Baal was supposed to be in Diablo 1. Its a loaded question then. Izual would be the only other character I could think of, and he is not a, "Boss."

The correct answer is Andariel.
Yup, my heart may break if I don't get to see a higher poly count Deckard Cain in the next 24 hours.

That's from 2004 dude. Obsolete. SC:Ghost is history...and hopefully shall never return. They need to focus on more important projects.
