Hello there Angels and Demons, all the Nephilim and Heroes of Sanctuary! I thought it would be nice to see what engaged and drove people into playing Diablo, now that this years BlizzCon might bring us the needed love for this franchise.
I, myself, never were into Role playing games. I started playing Racing Games on a Schneider PC 25 years ago, where I discovered the passion of gaming in general. My parents couldn't affort a gaming machine, not a real PC, nor a gaming console such as the NES or SNES at this time.
The Schneider PC and the Amiga 500 gifted from a friend's father were the only gaming possibilities at that given time.
One day, my parents waited for me when coming from school with one big package wrapped up in surprise paper.
I was wondering what that could be and began unwrapping and saw that they bought me a Pentium 120 MhZ PC from olivetti. This was so amazing and there was the beginning of my journey into PC gaming.
Looking for games to play on this machine, my library was very little, because at this time Period a Highscreen PC was the top High End and mine couldn't compete with these specs but one game: Diablo.
Diablo worked fine on it and I played it so much that I couldn't resist playing it day after day after day.
So here we are after Diablo 2 and Lord of Destruction, Diablo 3 became an instant Loot-hunting passion and after hours of gameplay and loot here is the year of Diablo finally coming (hopefully).
Diablo remembers me of my parents, who had not the financial possibilities but tried hard to just make me a favour in my childhood to bring gaming into my life. So there is emotional value too.
Thank you all, if you took the time to read this and hope to see some other people's adventure in becoming a loot hunting Hero.
We all agree that D3 could use some improvements and content, but, we all agree too that we did spent hours of gameplay into it.
