Because given the GP vids ive seen, it doesnt appear so. I realize we havent really seen much, but i havent seen the topic brought up before. It just feels like every video ive seen it looks like they are just kinda jogging. Haha
Like you said, kinda too soon to tell. Glad to see a new topic his week tho. Sick of skill/RMAH/DRM topics.
Yea, just trying to break some of the monotony around here. However there are many more things people should be worried about than an aution house (will be awesome) and no offline (good, if you were playing offline you were not experiencing the real game anyway).
Yes the movement speed is fast, this is because there is no stamina in D3. In Diablo 2 there was a walk speed, and a run speed which used stamina. This feature was supposed to help prevent players from kiting monsters effectively, though at high levels your stamina was almost unlimited. In Diablo 3 they did away with this feature all together, so to compensate they uped the movement speed slightly.

Yeah, I knew they did away with stamina, but that was kind of a useless feature anyways... Kinda like durability. So the speed we see in footage now will be the same throughout the game? That kinda sucks honestly

Well, regardless, this could still be an attribute option. We will just have to wait and see. Wont be +1 faster Run/walk. Maybe 10% faster movement speed or something.

Actually, since gold is important in D3, durability wouldn't be as useless. It would serve as a very good gold sink. Although i don't remember whether or not it will be in D3.

Durability is a great gold sink to help keep gold from collecting in the economy. This is very important actually, even more so now that gold has so many valuable uses in Diablo 3.

there are already passives that do things like that so i'd say its almost certain that there will be speed% boosting items.

Oops, did i just stir that pot again?
Those bosses droping "+1 to light radius" rings drove me crazy.

As was said, I'd bet there are some ways to manipulate your movement speed via items. Boots are a great contender to give +movement speed stats.
