Did I say something about graphics in specific? you just assumed that and trolled away.
What I said is that the overall feeling of striping the game of it's previous elements is concerning.
The half ass reply of Bioshok doesn't help one bit in relieving my troubled mind.
And all this yammering is getting old without specific to the point facts.
Overall I'm troubled but I prefer them to release 1 big focused sum of one aspect of the game (like pvp/pk) without us having to collect here and there tidbits of info and making a conclusion of our own (and i'm not happy he post in wow forum these info)

Don't sweat it. Anything posted in the WoW forums is an absolute lie and fabrication, even if a Blizzard Employee said it.
Anyone remember "You will not be able to kill Illidan in Black Temple"?
If D3 had the same graphics, but WoW didn't exist we likely wouldn't be having this discussion.
Personally, I think heavy armor suits the barbarian. It covey's a feeling of "buff-ness" or strength, that he can walk around with such heavy armor.
Plus It's likely big because you'll look down from a zoomed-out isometric prospective. It's so you can still see the highlights of your armor from a zoomed camera.
If its too small than the armor changes may be less noticeable on your character when you zoom out.
We'd still be having this discussion, I wouldn't be comparing it to WoW but I would still be saying it looks absolutely stupid, gives the character the silhouette of a ninja turtle and looks like it would actually detrimental to his combat abilities. It looks ludicrous and impractical, just because WoW already managed to get the silly look first doesn't mean it looks good now.

I can sympathize. I do wish that they would release more information about the game.
However, it's not going to happen. I'm no game-analysis adept, but there's a trend that Blizzard games, in particular, will stubbornly hold onto most of their secrets until the game is released. Actually, what the hell am I talking about? I don't know. Is what I said previously correct? This is the first time I've been overlooking the procedure prior to the release of a Blizzard game, so the above is hypothetical at best.

Ninja Turtles? Now you've lost me...anyway.
It's mostly just for the barb to have the heavy armor. The smaller armor in your sig makes him look flabby and less-protected imo and I want to see my armor better from a zoomed camera. Diablo is still a fantasy world, arcane sanctuaries and walking cows with pole-arms don't call for photo-realism in a sequel.
RELEASE MORE INFO AT E3 BLIZZARD! Diablo may be a dark world but DON'T Leave fans in the dark!

Well to be honest, I am one of those thread starters who complain about everything in the game-play video. I am quite nervous and afraid, but experience tells me Blizzard will never disappoint me. Out of all blizzard games, this is the one I am anticipating the most. I don't think it will be a disappointment and I think we should trust Blizzard.
About Bashiok... I have a feeling that he never made it past level 50 in Diablo 2: LoD. I haven't seen all his posts, but I read the PVP one. He talks as if someone can PK him anywhere on the battlefield and kill him... And you're absolutely right about him releasing uncertified information. That really pisses me off too.

What?
Can you elaborate? I didn't get that "feeling".
What uncertified information?
I thought he was fine. Not exceptional, but fine.
Given that 99% of the whine is "ZOMG SHOULDERS TOO BIG, LOOKS LIKE WOW", I'd say that D3 is looking (intended) ok. Of course if WoW never existed then this whine wouldn't have existed either.
Then they would just say it doesn't look like Diablo.

Uncertified information like... hes posting it in the WoW forums (when he should be posting it here instead -_-) telling people that there won't be PKING anymore and that Gold will be the more valuable. (This is a lot of important information he is leaking)
But none of us can confirm he is telling the truth until it appears on www.diablo3.com
His ultimate reason for banning Pking is that he thinks its a waste of time. Games are a waste of time. Entertainment is a waste of time. We're all going to die in the end, does this mean everything is a waste of time? Pking can be fun, and isn't a waste of time in my opinion. I think his reasoning is pretty stupid and there has been a thread going on about it.

Posting in the WoW forums is somewhat absurd, why does he do that?
Anyways, this isn't "information".
He never said there won't be any PKing anymore, he hinted to it, in part by saying that he was against griefing. It's more politically correct, plus he dodges responsibility if things don't go that way.
As for Gold, again, he made no guarantees, merely stating that he (and others) wanted Gold to be more valuable. See how the staff craftily dodges responsibility for these things?
But none of us can confirm he is telling the truth until it appears on www.diablo3.com
Um, he made no guarantees. There are no lies in his posts.

He never said that, it seems to me that you're going overboard with inferring his thoughts.
Lmao, OK, wait. Let me get the sources for what I have stated...
EDIT: Alright here it is:
Bashiok talks his view on PK and cooperative PvP play in Diablo III.
MY VIEW: I don't think he should be stating this on the WoW forums. After all this site is dedicated to D3, the WoW forums is obviously dedicated to WoW material. I am not an anti-WoW, but I think that it's disrespectful.
We're - in general - not big fans of griefing for any game. It's really only "fun" for one person, and that definition of fun isn't generally something we're going to want to encourage. It's far more positive to encourage and support meaningful and skillful options and systems within a game, than a mechanic for people to instantly turn against one another for no meaningful gameplay reasons.
MY VIEW: There are no meaningful gameplay reasons. The whole point of the game is to have fun. I am sure the person who isn't having "fun" getting PK'ed will eventually have his own "fun" by PK'ing others. Diablo is first and foremost an evil game and we should be able to express our evilness and sinful nature by killing others. As you become more skilled and advanced, you will learn how to avoid being PK'd, which I will explain in my next point.
I definitely remember running with my friends, and someone toggles it, and bam everyone is dead and your one friend is laughing. Ok, ok, good joke I guess, and then you run back and *bam*, you've toggled it to get them back.
MY VIEW: You definitely remembered wrong. In Diablo 2, you have to be in town in order to hostile somebody. When you do hostile someone, all your town-portals disappear. You also need to know the exact location of the enemy and you have 3 seconds before you can enter a way-point. You can't just "Bam" someone where-ever and whenever you want to! You were obviously not being specific as to exceptions like TP-PK'ing which you guys can fix indirectly by simply fixing your hack-prevention system.
After a while everyone usually agrees to a truce because it's just a waste of time.
MY VIEW: As I said in one of my previous posts, everything in life CAN BE CONSIDERED a waste of time, its up to perspective. I know people who dedicate their Diablo 2 gaming time in PK'ing and killing people in hardcore for their pleasure.
But I also remember running with random players and losing extremely nice items because of it, not cool.
MY VIEW: According to my knowledge of the game, the only extremely nice items you lose when you get PK'ed is your gold and your ear. (You don't even lose EXP for god's sake!)
I'm sure that it was a feature that was right up some people's alleys, I won't deny there are some that would enjoy nothing more than to see others frustrated, but is that truly something that should be encouraged through design - if not directly opposed?
MY VIEW: The only thing that frustrated me was the hackers that use aim-bots and TP-PK hacks or other PK-aiding third-party-programs. Legit PK'ing does not frustrate me. I say you should encourage legit Pk'ing as it is a form of sport and skill. Suggestion: To make PK'ing a more organized sport, you can add bounty bonuses if you kill someone who is very dangerous. The more people you PK, the more dangerous you should be ranked. In order to prevent cheating, you can only get more dangerous by killing different enemies, so you can't pick on the same dude over and over again.
We have a large focus on cooperative play for Diablo III, and the mechanics and design decisions related to multiplayer are likely going to be based on supporting and encouraging it as much as possible, and not breaking it down.
MY VIEW: Not everyone likes to cooperate. Sure you can focus on the cooperative part of the game, but don't break down the competitive part of it. There is no direct impact or improvement on cooperative play by removing the PK system.
That doesn't mean that PvP won't have its own focus, but those are details and features we aren't yet discussing.
MY VIEW: I think you should be more specific. So you are saying PK'ing is gone, but PVP is staying?
-> These are some facts (well not facts, but opinions) to back-up why I judged Bashiok the way I did in my earlier two posts.
You're telling me the architecture at the start is not gothic? Theres arches, columns, torches etc. Gothic doesn't require darkness or scary gargoyles (although they are sometimes present). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gothic_architecture
Yes its not brown, grey, dark and black but that isn't what gothic is, thats what D&D (and Quake 1) stereotyping is, and thats fucking boring.
Saying that gothic architecture is gothic is like saying that an anteater is an ant.
What I said is that the overall feeling of striping the game of it's previous elements is concerning.

Diablo has a look and feel which is called gothic. And no, that's not those kids at your highschool wearing the black makeup.
But in the video we saw, nothing was gothic. Not even a tiny amount.
