Recently I posted in the news of a interview that hinted a new IP. I usually remember where to find the interviews and link to them, but that one time I had forgotten where.
I found it finally. It was Bruce Hack - Head of VUGames.
Bruce Hack: "... let's just take Blizzard Entertainment's World of Warcraft, or Blizzard Entertainment's Warcraft, or Blizzard Entertainment's Diablo, or Blizzard Entertainment's Starcraft - they are the accountable unit for those IPs. By the way, any other IPs which they might invent, they would be accountable for exploiting."
It is interesting how instead of saying flatly:
"Any other IPs they invent, they would be accountable for exploiting"
... he used the term "By the way," -- as if he was slipping out something he knows about, that we don't.
There is a second interview made very recently around June-August that hinted a new IP. This one is gonna be harder to find with all the interviews and events that have happened around this time-frame. I will update if I find it. I read kinda too much online.
What is an IP I've never heard that term used before and in every article they never say what it is..... quite annoying, I know it's probably very simple but I just cant quite find out hat it is.
a PC game?

Dream as if you'll live forever, and live as if you'll die today. "James Dean"
-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
I don't think the interview says anything new btw...
It's dated May 2006 ...
Just saying that he hinted a new IP a year ago. He was talking about Blizzard games: diablo, starcraft, warcraft franchises. Why in the world would he say ... By the way, any other IPs they invent ....

It might be because Vivendi Games acquired Blizzard in March 2005. This might have been added to reassure fans that Vivendi wasn't going to mess with any new lines that Blizzard released and essentially state that Blizzard would be left to it's own devices.
Well, i was bored the other day so i played some Diablo 1, and i came across a book called The Realms Beyond, in it it says:
Quote from The Realms Beyond »
"All praises to Diablo - Lord of Terror and survivor of the dark exile.
When he awakened from his long slumber, my Lord and Master spoke to me of secrets that few mortals know.
He told me the kingdoms of the High Heavens and the pits of the Burning Hells engage in an eternal war.
He revealed the powers that have brought this discord to the realms of man.
My Lord has named the battle for this world and all who exist here The Sin War."
And the other book i encountered was The Wages of Sin are War, it read:
Quote from The Wages of Sin are War »
"Take heed and bare witness to the truths that lie herein, for they are the last legacy of the Horadrim.
When the eternal conflict between the High Heavens and the Burning Hells falls upon mortal soil, it is called the Sin War.
Angels and Demons walk amongst humanity in disguise fighting in secret, away from the prying eyes of mortals.
Some daring, powerful mortals have allied themselves with either side, and helped to dictate the course of the Sin War."
From these i believe since we are still fighting in Sanctuary, we are still fighting the Sin War, since the eternal battle hasn't ended because Tyrael doesn't know what will happen to the world of Sanctuary once he destroys the World Stone.
So the books about the Sin War, as Knaak has said, might have implications in a new game.

What do you guys think?
Nice find; Yeah I'm hoping this is the direction where things go. It would open up a lot of possibilites for character creation; being either dark or light. I think it would also be cool to see items aligned this way too; like certain items could be aligned with dark and certain with light. I think some of this is already discussed elsewhere in the forums though.
