"StarCraft is my absolutely favorite game of all time," Sams told us. "As you probably already know, there is no doubt that we will continue the StarCraft and Diablo franchise, and trust me, I will be the happiest person in the world when we announce StarCraft 2."
While Sams wasn't ready to spill the beans just yet, he did say Blizzard "will have a major product announcement in 2007," and that Blizzard was currently working on at least three other unannounced titles at the moment.
This was said by Blizzard, it says they have at least three unannounced titles at the moment... Wow expansion, StarcraftII, and maybe Diablo? Who knows, Just something to think about about and hope for : ) i know i am.
this is kinda old, heres an interesting interview with frank pearce i found on wow burning cruisade, heres the interesting question he got asked
Q: What can players expect of Blizzard in the future? Especially in regard to World of Warcraft?
A: MMORPGs have typically had life spans of 5-8 years or more, so certainly my hope is that we will see World of Warcraft live a long and healthy life. We'll continue to support the game and provide updates in order to help achieve that goal. That is one of our main focuses: making sure that World of Warcraft is something that people will still love several years from now. We also have products in development that I think people will be really excited about.
Generally, our focus is on making great games, making sure that they are accessible to a broad player base, and ensuring that the gameplay is fun and compelling. This is what Blizzard has been all about for as long as we've been a company. We have many employees who have been here for a long time, going back to the days of the original Warcraft RTS and Diablo and StarCraft, who have always made it their top priority to make the best games that they can possibly make. We've also gained many new employees over the years who share that commitment, so I'm confident that we're in a good position to continue achieving our design and development goals as we move forward.
I know it was kinda old but had to show some facts, for those who think they might have another WoW expansion your wrong. There is no possible way someone is able to make another expansion in that period of time. Also blizzard was saying that they are going to make an expansion every year, this expansion came out January, and by Blizzcon or E3 it wont be even close to a year, thats my predictions so we will have to wait and see.
cant believe no1 managed 2 hack in to blizzard after all these years
this is true. Though blizz hq is like 35 min from myself and a few others....i like the idea of puttin together a small 4-5 man team and possibly doin a recon of the surrounding area one day. Then join a tour group and sneak into the shadows and c wat we can find.
First off, it says three announcements, Major announcement might I add, one was WoW expansion been expecting for a few months before it came out, other was Starcraft II, but when you read it they say they are going to continue the Diablo and Starcraft franchises right before they say that about the announcements, so why would they say that/make another WoW expansion when they say that about the franchises.

Very good point there. Kudos.

See, when Blizzard said they'd have a WoW expansion out every year, it meant to me that an announcement for each year is a given and it is to be expected.
But a major product annoucement would be something unexpected, like StarCraft II - even if it was remotely expected after hearing word of an annoucement.

seen it some time ago and really missed that interview. Good job pointing out the things you did in there
Anyway, we all know by now Diablo 3 is being in the works, really don't need to make new threads concerning that.
What I want to see are some new features and storylines
I've been busting my butt looking for leaks but no dice.

Blizzard is an impenetrable fortress.
