d3 should be free, d1 and d2 were and they made shit loads of money.

It definately should be free how you could you back stab loyal fans who bought d1 and d2 and gave you there 50 dollars worth as you made crap loads of money off of other loyals to! it just would not be cool come on if your willin to pay to play then you belong to WoW.
i play WoW cause there's no Diablo game that can keep me atm. I played Diablo and Diablo 2 for 7 years. On Battle.net. The instability of the servers makes it unplayable very often. By kids i mean the really immature players. I'd also pay to help make Diablo 3 unhackable, avoid dupes etc. If diablo 3 would be on battle.net servers (sucky) and so easily hacked i wouldnt pay for it, ofc. I'd probably not buy it either. But pay-to-play games have some great advantages like better customer support and better server services.
i'm playing WoW for over a year now and the way they provide with new content, services etc is just great. In 1 year they had more patches than Diablo 2 since the release. And its not just bug fixing.
I would definitely want it to be free. However, Blizzard would still have to spend extra money to maintain that project. So if you wanted constant content, like World of Warcraft has, it would require a monthly fee. I would be willing to pay around 5 dollars. That way, they won't abandon the project after a while, and there will be more and more things to do in that game.
Alright let's cut though all the shit here you pay for a 50 or 60 dollar game that right there should be all you pay it's wrong to do then say ok now were going to make you pay more because were gonna make your online experience better and more hacker safe..........bullshit that's what i got to say if we as customers and basically the main funders of there profits pay for the game and buy it which might i add is doing thenm a favor then they shouldn't charge to make gaming quality online better. our fees should had been said and done with right after we bought the actual game. It's bad enough considering we get taxed for every other thing in thsi god damn country why can't we play for free games were ment as devices to take you away from the norm not to remind you that hey you have a payment do at the end of the week!!!!!
yes its like i said diablo 1 and 2, starcraft + exp, warcraft 1-3, were free online and they made lots of money i dont see why d3 cant be free online it will still make shit loads of money, even without the monthly fee

Wow, not only was that pretty incoherent, but you're still wrong. But you are right about one thing, we, the customers are the main funders of their products.
The problem with your thinking is that sales figures decrease over time. There become less people out there who want to buy it, because the people who want it, have it already. And then, if they are going to continue adding new content to it, they need a source of funds.
I don't know about you, but the Diablo series is just a great franchise, and I'd hate to see it end. Therefore, I'd be willing to pay some money for it.
I shouldn't even get into this because it's off-topic, but you're highly ignorant. So it's really a big deal for you to be paying taxes on games...when those taxes go to the government which funds the schools, which allows you to go to school for free. Despite that school didn't help you learn to spell correctly, or properly punctuate, it's still a service that you should be grateful for, and you should stop whining. Not to mention those taxes also go to social security and medicare and things like that, so when you forget to wear your helmet and water wings when you go outside next time, or decide to try and chew a rock, the government allows you to apply for some money so you can go to a hospital and make your booboos all better.
But you're right, DAMN BLIZZARD FOR WANTING TO MAKE A LIVING!!!111 lolz! I mean, it's not like video game development isn't a business or anything!!111
i ma sorry to say but i would have to say that i would pay anything price. Diablo is the greatest franchise known.
It might be extreme, but i would sell my kidney to play Diablo3.......
Lord i hope it doesn't cost much. LOL

i think that pay for play is a bad idea.
1. it chases away most under 16. Yes that group is playing WoW but could they swing another $15 a month? while that group can be annoying players, they are still a critical group to game profits.
2. i would be a fundamental change from d1 and d2. given the large time gap between d2 and d3, fundamental play change would be negative on return buyers.
