*slips into denial* GUNS NOOOO MUST HAVE GUNS NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO lol
It'd be okay if it had guns, wait!
Ooh ooh it should be that you can find Thrall somehow, (from wc3) like he stepped into a portal between World of Diablo and World of Warcraft, only succeeded with both his legs, unlike Wirt who died in the process...
Speaking of wirt......(now this is just getting into the "who is behind all the evil" thing, ima post the rest in there)
1- Gold needs to be the game currency, no more soj's, jah's, or uniques...the vendors need to sell good items at high prices, repair should cost more, and gold should be more rare, maybe add silver and bronze to the game
2- PvP needs to be different...a hostile button to attack other people in the middle of hell? doesnt make sense(yes, im with the idea of open pvp zones, just like WoW), HC should be the same, and have even more, its hardcore after all
3- Make D3 bigger, and harder, and raise the game number of ppl to join to 12-16
4- More people that can join the game means that its gonna need a lot of classes, maybe keep the 5 original classes(with new skills tree) and add 3-4 more?
5- Lock the stat distribution acording to the class
ex: each level gained you get your good ol' 5 stat points, but you cant trash all of them in str unless your a barbarian. Sorcs would be limited to 2 stats points in str per lvl, after all, spell casters with 3228753 str doesnt seem right...
6- Clan support, just like WC3, but with some modifications:
the clan leader will have a special command where he can add allies/enemy clans, also each time you kill a player from a enemy clan(of the same level) your clan level goes up, high leveled clans will have acess to special vendors/chicken levels maybe? this is going to need some serious thinking as to prevent clans abusing pvp to raise level...
Get real, folks, the diablo you all knew is dead, a few years ago i said right here in this forum that D3 had a pretty good chance of being blizzard first bust (i was flamed to death ofc), and what you know, its not even beta and its already looking that way.

If you ever meet a hafling and a hungry dragon you dont have to outrun the dragon, you only have to outrun the hafling.
I agree with everything else, 'xept the increased repair cost, but also...
#1: The deeper you get trusted in your faction (good or evil), you should change your appearance like in Fable and BnW2. Evil=Horns, red skin maybe Good= Halo!
#2: The cow level should be increased. Cow level? Not no more. Say hello to the cow Act. Act 6
#3: Also you should see "Wirt's Brother" and you get his arm
#4: Guild battles: Special PvP where it invites all the online members to battle another guild, somewhat like in GW
#5: Minibosses.
#6: Bigger towns.
#7: Both people should have to accept before you duel them.
#8: Criticals
#9: A health BAR, not an orb.
#10: Higher level cap. (Yes, I am insane!)
#11: This time be more open to a sequel, PLEASE!
#12: Charisma to effect costs when you buy things
#13: Bigger inventory
#14: Overall better AI, like they run away and get help, like in WoW
#15: Steeds! STEEDS! STEEEEEEEDS!!!!
#16: In-game smileys
#17: Emotes, like dancing--Change with gender/class/alignment plz?

Warlock (not like the wow one) A supernatural character whose sinister powers are inborn abilities, not spells. -lots more quests 27 is not enough (30 with v1.12) => arena quests (last man standing), other players can place bets on multiplayer quest based on class (everybody does the same quest but it differs depending on which class you are) quests differ depending on faction (evil person could choice not to kill something, or they could choose to kill a good guy instead of save him) -quests that dont appear in quest log, (gheed wanted a gem a small weapon some gold or something didnt he) -quests that are normal/nightmare/hell only -some quests that are single/multiplayer only, -quest exp (getting exp just for finishing quest) -better quest rewards, also quest rewards improve with difficulty (such as 1 socket/imbue in normal, 2 in nightmare and 3 in hell) -higher max skill level (20 it too low, I know skills go higher than this but you can only add to a skill 20 times, then it stops) -an arena for dueling (PK) -checkbox for dueling -higher max level -protect village (for x amount of time) quests, alternative invade x village (evil) I love these quests -taking on castles/fortresses full of demons, -the cow suit guy from diablo hellfire, -someone like farhnam the town drunk (he was so cool), -mercs that have better ai, can choose whether they act aggressive or passive, attack or defend, more choices of merc classes, more powerful, and can use a few more items (not a full set), resurrection scrolls and be able to hire 2 max -a generic skill tab that everybody has with find item, find potion, disarm trap pick lock and spells like that -bring back flame wave, lightning wall, elemental, stone curse, and apocalypse -bring back the gargoyles from diablo -more powerful types of bad guy => Goat => Minotaur Fallen => fallen brute -mounts to make travelling faster (may or may not be able to attack be attacked if on mount) -bigger acts (act 2 and 5 size) with more internal stages like caves and dungeons -craggy peak stages -version of weapons more powerful than elite -characters to have a voice (can import voice if u wants to) -unofficial titles by which townsfolk refer to you kind like fable (people called out your title) => For killing a few witches get a witchhunter title For killing a few daemons get a daemonhunter title and so forth -more people who unofficial follow you like the barbarians in act 5 -definitely no GUNS, definitely no GUNS or vampires, and half human/half something stupid, elves, dwarves, orcs, as a playable character (god I hate people who want these things), go play WOW or DND if you want these things -also witches should be like adria in d1, or the corrupt rogues, not as a playable character -more villages/towns/cities, some ruined like tristram -villages full of possessed people (like griswold in d2) -random npc adventurers (some dead and you can loot their stuff) -random people who give you a quest or two -more people in town to talk to, that don’t sell/give quests to you, like farhnam and geglash (yes people out there like to talk to these people) -more gems/better version of gems, more runes/more powerful and more rune words -tougher bosses (some with fewer minions) -go to amazon/necromancer homelands plus the kingdom of westmarch and north/south of kurast (we never went there in diablo 1, 2 or LOD) -seeing at it is heaven vs hell and we went to hell in diablo 1, 2 and LOD go to the high heavens (but not for a long time just one or two stages) -2.5D graphics, something between what diablo 1 and 2, and neverwinter nights were -if you can go to somewhere where it is impossible for the average person to go, dont have barrels and chests there, golden chests are ok they are special (demon horded treasure) -rocs (giant birds) that pick up your mount/baddies -random badguys that ride on horses are charge at you -bring back the spells books from diablo 1(plus x lvls to x spell) -bring back the d1 shrines (plus x lvl to x spell, plus x amount to x stat) -more uniques, and more powerful, plus more that look different from their base item Bring back items of the pit (-x to x stat) -bring back the succubus from diablo -bring back the elixirs from diablo -bring back the oils from diablo hellfire -if the is something like the cube in d3 it should be available earlier in the game -more transmutable items -more craftable items -you can receive quests from monsters (like gharbad and snotspill in diablo) -more enemies that have a voice and say more than one line (like snotspill, zhar the mad, lazarus, gharbad) -bring back the butcher, warlord of blood and the skeleton king or a similar badguy -a random evil/good version of you, wandering around (like pokemon but not as lame), could be interesting -bring back the black knights from diablo, they were so cool bursting into flames when they died -a few quests where you are able to potentionally weaken a boss, (Na krul form hellfire, reading the books weaken him) -bring back the cornerstone of the world so you can trade between your chars, without having someone say they'll help then steal your items) -trophies => demon heads, pelts, hinds, scalps, hooves, horns, tusks (work like charms and some as items like weapons and cloaks) -the soundtrack with shipment -cloth map of the world -DVD of the movies from the game -strategy guide comes with it, (some people need it), I pick up a few things from these books every now and again -random shopkeepers who can sell you things outside of towns (may be singleplayer only, as pkers would have a clear shot at you, unless they were in a house or something) -more badguys who worship a badguy and yell his name (carvers yell out rakanishu) -could throw in some cultural references for fun (baldur's gate had a character called sir garrick and he was modeled on sir robin form monty pythons holy grail, he even sang the song), also references to Warcraft, (Warcraft had wirt’s other leg, and WOW has wirt's third leg) -new types of weapons, whips [yeh i went there], slings and these; bayonets (see Anderson form Hellsing) katana, ninja to and wakazashi (I know this isnt an asian themed game or DND, but you should know what i mean) -every class should be able to use two small weapons at the same time (daggers, dirks, kriss you know the small ones) -less resistant badguys in hell -if you fall just short of the strength requirement (5-10 under) of a weapon you can still use it but you drag it and use two hands to swing it, like the skeletons in act 5 (would be cool/funny) -random NPC groups out killing demons, (groups of paladins and assassins out doing their jobs that sort of thing) -bring back gambling for unique and set items, which was cool -more set items (class specific sets) -bigger inventory -more visual variety in badguys kind of like how with the necromancers skeletons some have sheilds with arrows in them, some have axes, smoe have swords, and others dont -skull piles/skeletons on the ground, should yield skulls of varying power -demons disguised as people in town (would be cool) -trade gold for exp -goatman/fallen armies complete with camps and chariots -weapons racks should be like they were in diablo (armories of hell, you know where each item sold for 10000gp not they useless crap they give in d2 -the ability to sheath weapons -fist fighting quests, survive a few rounds to get a weapon or learn some info, money, that sort of thing -if you go to an area from d1, d2 or LOD, it should look the same, not like how D2 tristram differs from diablo tristram (rivers are different and no cathedral, it would have been cool to do even the first four stages of the labyrinth) -6 – 8 feet tall swords, which even someone like the barbarian has to use two hands to swing it -if you are evil (faction Hell), you can attempt to steal items from shopkeepers (click button next to repair) -bring back the kill counter, is was neat being able to see how many of a certain type of badguy you had killed, but when the killcounter reset at 500 or so that was gay -items dump in piles that you click on and it brings up an inventory, (like neverwinter nights and Baldur’s gate) I hate just seeing piles of gold and items everywhere -more Scottish or Irish npcs like Griswold and Cain -belts auto fill, like how if you have a column empty on your belt and you pick up a potion in fills up, do that same thing with potion from inventory, if you have room, potions automatically go into your belt, (what im trying to get at here is if there is room in your belt, and you have potions in your inventory, they should go to your belt, ie the belt will allwas try to stay full) -since it will be similar to wow, guilds will be cool
From kingpin -Upgrades and add-ons to your armor (so you don't have to buy new armor) -Upgrades and add-ons to your weapons as well. -A secret Cow Level. -More good characters gone bad like Griswold. -After you die in Hard core you can still walk around in town/heaven. (It would only be -fun though on multiplayer)
From Maestro -while in a group on multiplayer, if someone dies, they get a diminished (most likely dimished to 0) proportion of the exp that the rest of the group get for killing the badguy
From Ureshi (with slight mod from Elfen Lied) -the game isnt so linear, more freedom to go where you want, but you still cant go everywhere, and still have the acts(but they are bigger)

sub classes have their disadvantages, you get a lot of similar classes, some are absolute weaklings compared to other subclasses. subclasses is awfully close to DND, diablo is fine without subclasses.

-i would rather D3 not be mmorpg and that it be rpg like the previous titles
-most people would prefer it be in the isometric view of the previous titles as opposed to full 3D, so that means no sky
-we have all ready been to hell (several times) in physical form, so why not heaven.
-yeh its cool on fable with the eviler/gooder your char his apperance alters accordingly, but its not really diablo. (but it is cool)
-your civil war idea only really works for demons, not all demons get along and other similar evil creatures, plus most of the demons and angels are still caught up in the sin war thing.

aside from the fact that I have an idea of how to bring the supposed lord of Terror Back I think that they should look back at D1
although annoying they should bring back thngs like
1. Cursed items (but allowes you to uncurse them)
2. opposite of 1 Enchant items any item not just socketed and or imbue. but you would have to alter them with a town service or a scroll "which brings us to my #3
3. remember Scrolls? well they should bring them back. one shot spells man those were the adventuresom days. but I would make it so that if you read enough scrolls you learn the spell. sort of like an experience skill for the spells. I know they had scrolls in 2 as well but I mean scrolled spells of stuff you couldnt cast "if your a warrior you can cast necro spells"
4. Shrines. remember shrines that gave you a glowy ball above your head. oh that ones taken... well they could make the shrines Curse you. I mean thats the baloni thing about 2 everything helped you if it wasnt hacking your head off.
5. something thats been on my mind all this time since D1 when you kill something with good lookin armor or weapons everything should fall off and be accessable to the player. like those nights in the hell level in D1 you didnt always have killer lookin armor of the gods by then. so this idea would allow you to.
6. good or evil alignment.. I wanted in D2 to have a different style of soldier "paladin" I didnt want him to be holy and just some stupid and eventually weak support class character. they should make it so that you can make your character have different relative class abilities. I mean the hand of god thing was fun but it only hurt the thing you targeted and any undead around it and that was as far as the paladin went.
7. Sex's I mean come on how obvious can you get? need to be Sorcerer's not just sorceresis. I mean come on you ladies probably wanted to be joan of arch in these games and be the paladin girl who smites evil in the name of her religion.
8. I agree with one of the first idea's in this topic, more class's not just the 5 or 7 from LOD but make it so you can be the monk again. and one idea of mine is a brawler. make it so if you want you dont need weapons just gloves and spiked ones at that. Ive played a few games in my day like KOF and well got me to thinkin flaming gloves or poisoned, electric, amped strength. Use your imagination people
9. if your a necro then your minions would level up equally to your own.
10. more equipment slot's let me elaborate..... the rings were a good idea but there were only one per hand so thats more like a solid bracelet, Im talkin about having the bracer/let and the rings. with the helmets you could add things like the visor with special sight. with the bracer's idea you could have them become weapons to go along side your weapons. like built in talons.
11. other character class'd species, like be an elf, an orc, the harry guys "think its a redguard" from Never winter nights" or special human's like Norseman or other Elemental adapted peoples. sorry to the guy who didnt like non human class's. Must've been because you think other games suck for these animals. but I think that NWN was great for that fact. true I dont agree with half this or Hybrid that. but the Barbarian was not far from being an orc in D2. and another type of creature ive not seen in games yet but ive seen good pictures of em and have been depicted as good "Dragonite's or the like" a Humanoid with scales and claws and and. if you havent ever played Breath of Fire I pitty you, maybe thats all it could be a hulk complex where the paladin would change when his armor was thrown off or something.
12. which brings me to another idea Hair. Please give the monkey some hair damnit. can we say cloned for every bluddy Barb that was ever made in D2? holy crap had to find a diff helmet then everyone else just to look different or hope to god your armore glowed.
think im done I just havent played any diablo for almost a year. "only so many times you can watch an overgrown Red horned beast and a 4 legged Mad man fall to the floor. and only so much bull you can put up with on Battle Net.

It'd be okay if it had guns, wait!
Ooh ooh it should be that you can find Thrall somehow, (from wc3) like he stepped into a portal between World of Diablo and World of Warcraft, only succeeded with both his legs, unlike Wirt who died in the process...
Speaking of wirt......(now this is just getting into the "who is behind all the evil" thing, ima post the rest in there)
2- PvP needs to be different...a hostile button to attack other people in the middle of hell? doesnt make sense(yes, im with the idea of open pvp zones, just like WoW), HC should be the same, and have even more, its hardcore after all
3- Make D3 bigger, and harder, and raise the game number of ppl to join to 12-16
4- More people that can join the game means that its gonna need a lot of classes, maybe keep the 5 original classes(with new skills tree) and add 3-4 more?
Ops....sorry about that, last played D2 about 2-3 years ago
My point was that its just stupid for a char to hold 1.5 million gold, JUST FOR REPAIR...getting 10.000 in D3 should be a lot harder
and rarly i have that much gold on my barb, i usually gamble with the gold and but a ral for 50k, ral +unrepaired armor=fully repaired armor
#18: Neutral monsters, like pigs.

-yeh its cool on fable with the eviler/gooder your char his apperance alters accordingly, but its not really diablo. (but it is cool)

oo, hello and welcome to our forums, i hope that you enjoy your stay, remember to post and vote regularly
although annoying they should bring back thngs like
