Hello everyone, I have here the first guide I've ever made so I apologize if I didn't explain enough into detail.
This guide is a wizard tanking guide for Torment 6 Group Play. This guide is designed to help you get into T6 as quick as possible to start farming up gear for other builds. The best part about this build... There are no necessary pieces of gear you need to complete it, and it is mostly set items that you can make. Below are the Pro's and Con's of the build followed by my video guide and gameplay.
Pros:
Very easy to put together a set of gear for this. Mostly set items
You are a tank, you barely take any damage, you almost never die allowing you to always have the Pool of Reflection buff.
This set gets you right into Torment 6 farming and collecting loot for other wizard builds or for off gear on a witch doctor.
You provide a ton of crowd control, almost perma CC on trash and elites.
You provide 43% extra damage for your party, and a 6% crit chance debuff on mobs.
You soak up floor debris and keep your group alive with Event Horizon Black hole.
Cons:
The build is for group play only.
You do virtually no damage.
This is a build most do not know about or understand how this works yet, so grouping could be tough.
By that logic no piece of gear is necessary for any build. Wand of Woh isn't necessary for EB builds, it only improves your damage a bit!
You said in the video that the bracers don't matter which is plainly wrong. Strongarms are a massive group performance increase (the entire point of the build) and are also common enough that it is highly unlikely that you won't see them by the time you're going into T6.
The point of the build though is to get right into T6 with minimal farming.
I was doing T1/T2 with my wiz with not great stats, about 650K DPS/7mil tough and struggling a bit. Switched to this spec, put on a few different pieces of gear and not even crafted the exact items you did-- and went right into T3 no problems. Will push it to T4 and see. Again, not even using the exact items you have so if I stopped being lazy and crafted them up I could probably easily do that. Got about 14mil toughness and will improve it.
And I just got Strongarm Bracers drop, which will make this even better. But I wanted to tell you my experience, to affirm your idea that you don't *need* them and this spec can get the job done without them. They certainly will improve it. Thanks.

Some legendaries demand their own builds and do poorly in traditional builds...sure its not necessary but some items are not better than alternatives in other builds, just average.
Wand of Woh (ok its a wand it will be fine anywhere but its a waste in any other build besides the Woh build)
As with all of these, none of them are required to do the build...you can run electro or EB without mykens woh RoF without light of grace....but having it dictates your build a certain way if you do decide to use the item.
stormarm doesnt really do that, a LOT of things proc knockback.
Getting a perfect taskers on your non-pet WD or non-sentry Demon Hunter...time to swtich?
Strongarm bracers are just a bonus and arne't really required anywhere...they dont proc on the RG anyway (or anything too large to be knocked back...) They're fun to combine with an Ess of Johan but again you can't really base a build on that either

Mirrorball
Myken's Ball of Hate
Goes with
Velvet Camaral These two make your obvious build one of two electrocute runes..very specific and unflexible build but pretty damn effective as well.
Light of Grace Ray of frost is now piercing.
