Also, where are the best farming routes now? I did basically all of act 1 this morning. Definitely felt like more monsters compared to what I remember, but no legendaries in half of PL 65.
no advice? pretty please? Im specifically looking for things I can do with the custom items I can craft. I think mine are decent and wondering if its worth it to pour resources into trying to get better.
I would start with your belt. Way better options available. Read Bagstones gear guide.
Act 3 is still good. I join act 1 any quest or act 3 any quest. People will show you. I would recommend playing the entire game through yourself so you know the changes.
As for the routes - I don't think there are any really bad routes, you can essentially go almost anywhere. I for myself find that switching zones every now and then increases the replayability and I don't see the value in desperately trying to find this one new zone you can grind until your brain melts. Most attempts of finding a new 1.08 super route come across to me as hilarious attempts of people to become the next Alkaizer, i.e., a name-giving character for a farming route. I'd say: play the game from beginning to end and mark down areas you specifically like.
I mentioned in another thread that buying new stuff is imho not the best option at the moment as everyone and their dog are buying lots of crap just because there was this new patch and everyone wants to try out something new. The two items you should upgrade tough, in my opinion, are belt (get a Witching Hour, they're dirt cheap - nothing fancy, just a basic one) and a weapon (get one with a socket). Make sure you stay above 30k HP though. You can save some money here by grabbing a low budget weapon with no life steal and life after kill instead (on one of your rings).
Im currently doing MP3 with little difficulty. I worry that I am too squishy for higher MPs. Is it really worth it to get a wishing hour with no AR?
Also, with weapon, I can get a good echoing fury with no life steal; as soon as I add life steal the price becomes ridiculous. Antying I can afford with life steal is a massive damage reduction.
Thing is I worry that lifesteal is what is keeping me alive.
Well, if you're feeling too squishy you need to do something about that. But your belt has no allres, no armor, just 51 vitality and 8 life% - and the latter translate to roughly 72 vitality since your HP is not that high anyways. You could easily get these 123 vitality on other slots, but if you're really worried about dying too often you can always buy a belt with lots of EHP (vit, allres, armor, int). I was just thinking that your belt doesn't add that much EHP anyways, so it's an easy spot to upgrade for some more DPS.
Same applies for the weapon - if you feel that you can't survive without life steal, stick with it. But like I mentioned and you said, too - life steal weapons are just way too expensive, in particular right now just after the patch. But in my opinion the main reason why MP3 feels so difficult is your DPS. You're at 117k unbuffed DPS - I'd not recommend to go past MP1 or 2, and for these MPs your EHP is more than sufficient. If you increase your DPS, your life steal (from Blood Magic) will become more useful, and your kill speed will increase (and make life after kill a useful stat). I can't see how you can play efficiently on MP3.
You might want to get 2-3k more HP and maybe 100 more allres, but overall your EHP is okay for your target MP level. It's one of the rare cases where I would recommend to work on the DPS. Kill before you get killed ;-)

Wow, witching hours really did come down over the last few months. I just picked up 15k damage are some hitpoints to boot. To be clear, MP3 feels right; I want to move up to MP4 and am worried about being too squishy there. My Hellfire sucks; If I can get a good ring with some AR and maybe a little damage, I might be able to move up. The higher MP would cancel the xp loss, and Id get more gold/magic find to boot.
How are my custom crafts on shoulders/bracers/gloves/ammy?
Yeah, if you switch to higher MP levels, your Hellfire Ring might not be worth it anymore (same for the gem in your helmet). Here's a little website to see the relative XP gain in case you were wondering: http://d3xp.weebly.com/

Your gloves are AMAZING. Trifecta plus allres? Stop crafting, you won't get any better.
Same for the bracers - allres, vit, armor, and max crit. Strength doesn't hurt either (48 armor).
Your shoulders and amulet are nice, too, and you'd spend some money trying to get an upgrade. But I think the best use for any Demonic Essences would be to try and get an amulet with crit chance. However, be prepared to craft a few hundred...

Would it make sense to do custom craft on chest? Specifically looking for all res.

In my opinion... no. You need an extremely lucky roll in addition to the fixed int stat: 3 sockets are pretty much mandatory, some vit, armor (you already have that on your chest) plus the allres. And even if you craft the "best possible chest", any decent Tal Rasha chest for a couple of million will eventually give you an upgrade (allres TRs are getting cheaper). You might say "I don't have a couple of million", but keep in mind that getting a chest that has good rolls requires quite some materials and crafting costs as well.
Amulets, on the other hand, are best in slot if you get lucky. A well crafted amulet might be an item you might wear for a couple of years.

Given how the game has changed, where can I improve?
