20% + 50%? how does it work? whats the math? do you add, times, divide?
I think the formula is
Total DR = 1 - (1-DR1)*(1-DR2)*(1-DR3)*...
Where DR = Damage Resistance and DRn represents the individual resistances from Armor, physical resist, melee resist, etc.
Quick math, if you have 50% physical and armor resist, your total DR is 1-(1-.5)*(1-.5) = 1-(.5^2) = 1-.25 = 0.75 or 75%
If you add 20% melee resist from Blur you get 1-0.25*(1-0.2) = 1-0.25*0.8 = 1-0.2 = 0.8 or 80%.
While you might at first say, "hey, we're only getting 5% from Blur, what gives?", consider it from a standpoint of how much damage you take. Without it you take 25% dmg from a hit, with it you take 20%, which is 20% less damage, i.e., (25-20)/25*100% = 20%.
