hey
i have some questions about Zunimassa's Journey boots.
i want to buy those boots but i dont know if they will upgrade my dps.
first of all, they ias on legendary items is still bugged?or the ias is always work now?
second thing, for example,i want to buy Zunimassa's Journey boots with 70 dex,6% posion dmg and 5 ias.now i have boots with 272 dex + 84 vit.my dex is 1923 and i have 72895 dps [no sharpshotter].
the Zunimassa's Journey boots will upgrade my dps?if yes,how much dps i will get?
i tried to calculate it but i dont know how and i dont know how to use this dps calculator..
there are 2 kinds of ias, "increases attack speed by" only works on the item it spawns on, and is supposedly a weapon-only affix, but is/was bugged and could spawn on legendary armor as well. "attack speed increased by" gives an overall boost to ur attack speed and works when spawned on armor pieces.
as for calculation, what i would do is take off the boots with 272 dex, see how much is lost, calculate how much 70 dex is worth by taking [dps loss from 272 dex] * 70 / 272, add the result to ur dps w/o the 272 dex boots. this will give u how much dps u will do with a pair of +70 dex boots. then take that dps number with +70 dex boots, multiply by 1.06, then multiply by (your current ias % + 100% + 5%) / (your current ias % + 100%)
hope its not too confusing =D
Wouldn't that be off, though, as Dex is an exponentially increasing stat value (each dex makes the next point of dex worth more)?
The easiest way to figure it out, is to just download the demon hunter DPS calc in a topic a bit further down this page and put in your item's ;).

I really dont know how to use this calc..can you calc it for me please?
1923 dex,72895 dps
my boots stats:
272 dex [84 vit]
i want to buy Zunimassa's Journey with 5/6 ias,6% posion dmg and 70 dex
If you are every looking for IAS on armor [in legendary/set items], always use the AH filtering instead of searching for the right up front. This way you can never have a broken "ASI" affix show up.
To do this, search by [armor], [any type], than search by item lvl, than by attacks peed, and atleast one unique affix that is common on that piece of item (ie, reduced melee by x%, or block %, or chance to fear, etc.)
Dex isn't exponentially increasing. Neither is crit%, crit damage, or ias. All of it increases your dps linearly. That is, given a certain gear set, 1 point of dex (all other variables remaining constant) will always increase your dps by a fixed "X" amount. This is also true for all of your other damage boosting stats. We can't do the calculations for you because we don't know the rest of your gear set.

so you need to see my whole gear to calc it?
