Hi all. Im 25 years old gamer that loves arpgs and especially the diablo games. Been playing them for more than 7 years (D1 and D2), and still play it sometimes. While Im little disappointed with direction Diablo 3 is going, I'm happy that diablo as a franchise is still alive and roling.
I think the reason a lot of people are upset with direction, is the wait. If you are interested in D-III, there's nothing to do about it right now but read articles and patch notes. I think I know more about decisions and changes made in this game than any game in history.
I'm not thrilled with the direction in some areas either. For instance, not having control of your character's built in stats. But probably if I had not been reading so much, I would have never throught about it until release, been just fine with it when I saw that it worked probably, and never let it bother me.
Guess my point is that if you follow something closely, and you know some of the choices that are being made, you probably aren't going to aggree with all of them on any project. I've decided not to worry about it anymore, wait for the final product and basically reserve judgement until then. It might end up being average to above average. And it might be a classic. It's all speculation until we're able to play. It's worth my time either way.

Which direction would that be?
Well, I maybe used the wrong word, but thing that they removed and changed that made a part of diablo players (including me) not like that much, but i'll make a detailed thread about it when i'm not to lazy.

Hot damn, I wish I could award reputation points! Is there some threshold number of posts before I can do that or something?

How about almost the entire patch 10 ?
Welcome btw
remember me? lol
the changes they did in p10 ware most of them called for and good decisions that are easily defended
problem is that most players are to conservative to understand that some changes are for the good. if its not okay then these players shouldn't buy the game.
