hmm, i dont know.
I dont think the SC line being mixed with the rest makes much of a theory though (but nicely found nonetheless, best one is that the 19th is S)
As of now, the only name in the bolded words is Lord of Terror...
hah i think all of those games have been released...
gh2... battlefield 2142..scarface:BM....
dunno if its fake tho.
Its not. But it was the preposed release of info on D3 at E3. When Blizzard North was shutting down they were not sure the new developers would be able to prep it enough for display.
Later rumors flew about it being postponed after Starcraft Ghost tanked. No one has heard anything until now. MUAHAHAHA it will come either on the 19th or next month. Be patient.

If you find yourself wandering in green fields with the sun on your face, do not be troubled, for you are in Elysium and you are already dead! - Maximus Decimus Meridius
Let me say this about Hellgate London. I played it twice so far and it is in no way anything like Diablo. It is more like World Of Warcraft if anything...
Ok, secondly, the 19th letter in the Alphabet is S
Third, if you only use the bold phrases together you get this:
"Of the Tides of Darkness is the Dark Lord of Terror. And my stare alone will reduce you to ashes. Stay awhile and listen."
If you flip it around a bit... In this order, it is W, D, D, S,
"Of the Tides of Darkness is the Dark Lord of Terror. Stay awhile and listen, and my stare alone will reduce you to ashes."
*Note this. What if cain is evil in D3? The above sentence would make complete sense.
Hey guys, first time poster here. I was sure Blizzard threw some sort of hidden message in their timeline on their Blizzard.com website. They are enormous fans of head games as their continuous stream of April Fools pranks has shown. Most notably, and most related to this new upcoming title announcement, they did something similar for the unveiling of Starcraft Ghost - only it was more visual. So I've been following this thread as my curiosity became piqued wondering if anyone else had theories about a possible hidden message. And talk about misdirection. The same timeline on a number of websites, including Starcraft2.com, and Diablo3.nl
Everyone is looking for visual signs, but I think this time the clues are in the words. The poster I've quoted above me is on the right track.
Why are some of the sentences in larger font?
On day 1 it's the 3rd line of the Warcraft 2 quote. No such enlargement for Warcraft 1. For the Diablo and Starcraft quotes, it's both on the 2nd line. For Diablo 2, well, just one line, but still large bold text. Either their web designers are incredibly lazy and inconsistant (notice the size of text difference between Diablo 1 and 2, and Starcraft) or they're trying to direct your attention to some hidden subtleties.
I'm no good at word games, but syllables came to mind first.
"Of the tides of darkness" - 6 syllables.
"Is the lord of terror" - 6 syllables
"Stay awhile and listen" - 6 syllables
"And my stare alone would reduce you to ashes" - 12 syllables
Note that so far Starcraft is the only one with more than 6, which is 12. Since Starcraft stands out with 12, let's say the announcement is something specific about Starcraft. The bolded Starcraft quote had 12 syllables, so let's start with that number. The rest had 6, 6 being the consant number. Simple math of 12 divided by 6 is 2. Starcraft 2.
Further supported by the fact that Starcraft was the single largest Blizzard game to sell in Korea. Korea is like the Starcraft capitol of the world. It's a sport there. The announcement is being made in Korea. Hmm.
How's that for conspiracy theory?
There's a few misleading things. First of all, if tomorrow's Warcraft 3 quote doesn't have 6 syllables, there goes that theory. Secondly, I believe it was Gamespot that recently spoke to a Blizzard PR regarding the announcement. And I quote loosely, "everyone will be pleasantly surprised". I don't know how anyone could be surprised about a Starcraft 2 unveiling in Korea, so perhaps there will be a simultaneous Diablo 3 unveiling as well.
Anyway, somebody who's better at word games needs to get cracking on this enigma.
Personally i think the creators did stick to her style on Hellgate, as someone said they moved away.. actually i think its impressive to actually make the game "Not diablo looking" but still able to make it awesome & similar to diablo's setting, in a sense like the whole plot is darkness rising, fighting against all odds, no kiddy colours like WoW, demonic mobs.. and lots of blood.. main thing is that its dark.. and i like it!
And yeah i too think 19th is SC and blizzcon Might be D3.. But still anything can happen.
the image only shows all the franchises Blizzard has created. Not that i wouldnt want to have all 3 (Diablo 3, SC 2 and WoW expansion) in the Invitational. But who knows really?
just for fun, how many of you are buying hellgate london?
I don't plan on buying it. Partly because it doesn't look my kinda game, and also because I don't even know if my comp. could handle it. One thing I will say for it though, is that it has AMAZING cinematics.
(That's really the only reason I'm interested in it). Cinematics are a huge part of the game to me, and without them, I find it impossible to be impressed by a game. Hellgate looks cool, but I'm just not into shooters.
If Blizzard can keep up with their cinematics, I will be a happy man.
Cinematics...? Sorry, cinematics might be "nice" even "impressive" but they're hardly a substitute for gameplay. I don't really see your logic, but to each their own =\
rofl I can just imagine them going to the press box, and announcing sc2. answer a load of questions and stuff. then 1 hour later, call everyone back, and say they're also announcing wc4, then go thru loads of questions, and call ppl back again for diablo 3.
Blizz has been really quiet for the last few years, and need something big to put them up there again. This or the blizzcon will surely do so.

OK, I can wait for Starcraft 2. Let's see how it turns out.
I wonder if it's a Warcraft pornography film. That'd be a surprise.

In 4 years, they've made 1 game (BC+Expansion) You look at GW for example, this is their 4th in what, 2 years?
Blizzard is very slow, and if they announce d3, it will be made in 3 years, and maybe get canceled like ghost.
