Hi there guys. I was just wondering, does anybody else have a problem with the e-mail verification on the wiki? I've tried several times already and every time I try to verify my e-mail address on my profile page, I simply don't receive the verification e-mail. I'm not sure what getting it verified would do for me but I was kind of hoping that I could mail other people on the wiki pages instead of going through their Talk pages which I haven't quite figured out yet. Anyway, anybody else have the same problem or better yet a solution?

A soft answer turneth away wrath. Once wrath is looking the other way, shoot it in the head!
Check your Spam/Bulk folder. Otherwise, i'll let PhrozenDragon field this one, he's much more Wiki-savvy than myself.
Nope, nothing there, already checked the first time around (and second and third etc.) Phrozen is really going to hate me...ever since I joined here I've been bugging him constantly with this or that :whistling:

Bahahahaha, don't worry, I don't think Phrozen could hate anybody, :P. He's our Wiki Manager, so all this stuff is right up his alley. Trust me, when people show interest in the Wiki, he goes nuts, :).

Apparently:
E-mail address is optional, but allows a new password to be e-mailed to you if you forget your password. You can also choose to let others contact you through your user or talk page without needing to reveal your identity
I haven't verified my e-mail, I've never heard of anyone else doing it either on our wiki, and I wouldn't know how it's used or how to fix it either.
My guess is that this feature might be turned off, or it's unintentionally broken. In both cases it's something Curse has done and I can't do anything about it. And besides, since I don't think anyone else has registered their email, this probably wouldn't work out too well even if I did get it to work
Even so I think it would add an uneccessary complexity to our wiki at this point. It's fragmented enough as it is with some discussions going on in the wiki and some here, and I'd much prefer to keep discussions as condensed as possible.
Go ahead and experiment some with my talk page if you're not quite sure how it works yet. Or resort to sending PM's here in the forum. Most users have the same name in both places if they're members here as well. I'll add talk pages to my list of things to add to the help section of the wiki which I think is what I'll focus on once the D1 stuff is more or less done. Until then you'll have to keep asking me stuff
Perhaps there should be a wiki FAQ in this forum...

PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.
