But to say that what Fox News reports on is untrue is pretty ridiculous. ALL news networks have a bias in one direction or another and no matter where you get your news, it's somewhat skewed. Some networks don't even report on topics because it's counter to their message, while others report on them in an opposite direction to try and put positive light on something they support.
It doesn't matter what news station you watch, so long as you extract the information of what is happening from the news reports. Don't just sit there and thing that what someone else is outraged over, is what you should be outraged over. Take the facts and make your mind up yourself.
The problem is that Fox News is the worst. They cut parts out of videos to fit their views. For example, they cut a part out of an Obama speech where he said "We are raising taxes!" They then said "See, for once Obama is telling the truth!". When you watch the entire segment, you see he is refering to something that Bush did.
Not to say the others don't slant one way or another, but they are absolutely nothing to Fox News. Fox News, more well known as Republican News Network, is the Lord God King of bullshit.
Well firstly, Fox News isn't "more well known as Republican News Network". Obviously it's more well known as what it actually is, as opposed to liberal-born slang.
Fox News doesn't do it any more than other news networks though. I'll consistently see stories on Fox News that MSNBC and the rest won't bother to air because it makes DEMOCRATS look bad. All networks crop stories and take things out of context all the time. Fox News really isn't doing it more than anyone else, but it's hard to get less attention when more people watch your network than any competitors network (by a LARGE margin). That's the only reason Fox News gets hyped as worse than the rest.
Edit: Oops almost forgot the other major and obvious reason people think Fox News is worse. Somehow people don't realize there's a difference between a reporter and a commentator.... Commentators are giving you their opinion on a subject, and just like any human being in an argument will try their best to sway or tilt the subject to their favor. Reporters are just giving you the news, the same news you hear on the other networks (unless the other networks chose not to spend any time talking about a particular topic).

I'm not going to say that MSNBC doesn't slant. Of course they do! They look at Fox and they see how well Fox is doing and MSNBC tries to copy Fox, but they are nothing, NOTHING, compared to Fox.
And at the very least, you know that other stations are going to at least show an entire clip and not cut it up to make it look like Obama or McCain or whoever is saying something exactly opposite of what they are saying. With Fox, you never, ever know.

If they are not caught, they are all reporters. If they are caught lying, they are commentators.
In this world...
Is the destiny of mankind controlled by some transcendental entity or law?
Is it like the hand of god hovering above?
At least, it is true...
That man has no control, even over his own will.

Dirty bastards.
Jeeze you sound so very very senile. I love the part about "MSNBC does it because Fox News does it", got a good laugh out of that. Is that how people justify hating on 1 group as opposed to another when they're doing the exact same thing? He started it, so that's why I'm doing it.
At the very least you can say Fox News airs every story, I've seen plenty of stuff on there that ABC/NBC won't bother with. That's even worse deception than airing snip-its, at least I get to know the story EXISTS.
No commentator goes around saying they're reporters. No reporter or commentator should have to say every day they are on TV, that they are one or the other. If someone can't tell which shows are hosted by commentators (e.g. The O'Reilly Factor) and which are hosted by reporters (e.g. Studio B w/ Shepard Smith) then maybe they're too stupid to be allowed to watch television in general.
I won't defend other networks, but Fox is a flow blown lying sham. As Roger Ailes has said many times on TV, "We're number one in ratings" and that is where the problem lies, the news fall victim to the sensationalism that get those ratings. Modern day Citizen Cane.

They lie no more than any other network, and they're number 1 in ratings for multiple reasons. They've got more interesting (and as far as the ladies go, in my opinion) much more attractive reporters & commentators. Also, having people on who are more passionate about what they're defending normally results in more compelling (to watch) arguments & discussions. I'm sure there's numerous other reasons but those 2 are blatantly obvious. Being most popular doesn't mean most corrupt.
Also, not to say that any news organization does this, but if the public beckons for sensationalism in journalism shouldn't they be given just that? Let the free market speak for itself.

The ladies, OK I'll agree with that. But passionate? Passionate disingenuous liars maybe. O'Reilly and Hannity are probably the two worst examples. They take complex topics and reduce them into one sided stories often pulling facts out of their ass. I say one sided because they will typically invite a guest on who is pigeon holed into a dichotomous argument. Either you agree with Bill or Sean's closed ended questions and are considered wise and smart. Disagree, you are marked as a liberal traitorous socialist who ends up having microphone cut or volume reduced while they over-talk you.
True every station has it's inaccuracies, but Fox rolls in them and basks at their beauty, proof of this all you need to do is look to it's self serving unscrupulous head Rupert Murdoch, he's in 6 feet of trouble in the UK and the FBI is presently investigating his media outlets here for similar scandals. Murdoch and all he touches is scum.

Bullshit. They either don't air it or they cut clips to try to support their Conservative/Neo-Conservative views.
And no, I'd rather not even hear about the story then to hear Fox News say that Obama is raising taxes, just to find out that he actually lowered them, all because Fox cut a clip to make it sound the exact opposite.
You may disagree with that, but I'd rather not even hear the story then hear a lie.

The free market should have no say in the facts.
If you want to be a News Station (Fox NEWS Channel) then you should be forced to tell the truth, and when you find something wrong, then you should correct yourself.
Fox news just spews lies, deceit, and old fashioned bullshit.

I remember O'Reilly had compared something that happened in the Middle East to a World War 2 battle. He kept repeatedly saying that the battle had happened in World War 1. Others from other stations, [i]and his own audiance corrected him. Repeatedly. And he kept saying World War 2.
Obviously this isn't a major issue. But if he and his ilk are not willing to admit they are wrong on that, then what chance do we have of him admitting that he's wrong on a story that counts?
As for over-talking anybody and everybody, that's standard procedure at Fox when you say something they don't like.
As for Murdoch, I didn't hear that the UK and the FBI were after him. Hilarious. Dickwad will get what's coming to him.
i hear this a lot about fox news, saying its spreading lies and bull shit. but i dont believe it, you SAY theres a clips that they cut and yata yata, why should i believe you? show me a clip from fox news showing something then show me the "real clip" without the cut outs and how its "the opposite". other then thats your just flaming bull shit everywhere as bad as you say they are.

John Stewart has a nice long talk with Hannity about this, but here's a quick clip of what I was talking about:
Don't have to believe me. Just watch the Republican News Network and then watch a live feed and you will see for yourself.
Oh, and how they are opposite: Fox News says that Obama is going to raise taxes. The real clip says that the Previous President had set it up so taxes would go up. I'm not "flaming bullshit" either.

that could of easily been edited like that, really? they cut to the president for 3 seconds to hear "raise taxes bla bla"? ya OK. i watch the news and ive NEVER seen them cut to anyone talking for 2 seconds lol. i want a bonified legit non-edited news clip from fox. then the same clip from another news channel showing it so different. some edited together youtube video hardly proves anything at all.

I just woke up so I'm probably gonna have to re-read everything I missed (since I have opposite sleep/awake hours as everyone else around here lol) but I just have to say this first and foremost. Every time you guys say that a news station cuts up clips and takes things out of context, you call them liars. You DO know what a lie is right? Airing a cropped clip isn't lying, it's not like the individual in the clip DIDN'T say it. Obviously I see how someone can be upset over things being taken out of context, but it is NOT lying and shouldn't be construed as such,

For some reason I have this gut feeling that you will continue to defend them even as the evidence against them is presented.
Anyway, as to the clip. if you watch the bottom, there is little red text, almost looks like a red line. Watch it, if it's cut up by the Youtube guy or whatever, it's edited. It doesn't move or cut or anything. It's literally what was aired on Fox News.
We really need to stop calling them Fox news. Every time I write that, I feel like vomiting. Lol.

As far as I've noticed I've yet to see any conservatives who normally have the same viewpoints as those on Fox News, calling them a bunch of liars etc etc. It's only liberals or, in general, non-conservatives that seem to attack them. Almost like it's warfare based on political opinion.
