    That just destroyed the game!

One of the best is Farnham who babbles about Cain is knowing more than he does.

    Difficult...

My attachment to this game is derived more from the overall ambiance created by the setting and music, rather than any specific game-play moments; it's a visceral thing.

And even if I were to try right now to think back over the last 12 years to pinpoint something, I'd fail, miserably, due to being in sensory-overload caused by the unveiling of Diablo III.

I'll always remember my first encounter with The Butcher. The combination of him and the room he was in told me I was in for one hell of a ride.

    "Ah, fresh meat."

    Good ol' days.

A couple of mates and I spent a couple of hours to get to the Skeleton Key and then 6-8 hours straight trying to beat him with all sorts of tactics, even used dupe bug to get the best armor and weapons from the stores.

I have yet to understand why he was so tough at that time, i killed him solo lots of time after that and hardly even noticed him through the other trash mobs. :o)
You and all your kind... are doomed.

The butcher no doubt, good think they didn't include that vid with him chopping some poor guy as an intro for the fight... that would have screwed my childhood for sure

"Big, Big cleaver. Killin' all my friends. Could'nt stop it, had to run away. Could'nt save them. Trapped in a room with so many bodies.. So many friends.. Nooooooooooo!"

Chilled me to the bone. And still does.

Also the days of the rings of zodiac, godly plates of the whale and all that bullshit that vanished when you wanted to dupe it for your friends XD. Lovely memories. The first venture to the Butcher is the absoloute best boss memory i'll ever have though.

"the warmth of life has entered my tomb... prepare yourself mortal... to serve my Master for eternity!"

i so loved fighting Leoric! And so hated looking all over Hell for the potion to help Lachdanan kill himself :P

omg, my fondest memory must have been when i went to go kill the Skeleton King with my step dad as a kid, and i got stuck in the door he was trying to trap the king with, so he killed me with the Fire Elementel spell or something

the one with the running fire guy

i first played Diablo on the Playstation btw lol
had a 2 player co-op mode, but you could kill your ally ^_^
    my step dad hated me:confused:
good thing hes gone now :D
i still have nightmares about the runing fire man....

and i hate that little kid who rips you off, Wirt.
my fav memory of D2 (which is alittle related to this thread)
was seeing Wirt dead on the ground and stealing his precious leg for all his rip offs in Diablo... ^_^

    SORRY FOR MY BABBLING!

I found it so ironic that you spend all these hours as your hero fighting Diablo in D1 only to found out he dies.

    The Warmth of Life...

What exactly drove the original warrior to shove the soul stone into his own head? Decard Cain said that it was arrogance, but was that it? Did he have pure intentions when he did that? Did he want to be like the Mage who was holding Mephisto? Or did he want Diablo's power for him self?

One of my favorite moments was during an online game when a bug made the Skeleton king invincible and my warrior was killed and my friend was trying to resurrect me. The whole rescue mission was crazy.

I waffle on that one, a bit. I never can decide if I think he acted of his own volition in an attempt to contain the Evil, or if he was compelled to do it by some power the stone exerted over him when he picked it up.

I always thought that after seeing the Prince die on the ground the warrior decided to contain the power of Diablo within himself so nobody else would have to suffer that fate.

The first time I had played Diablo I went to The Butcher. He's very dificult to kill because he takes heavy damages and has much HP. That's a problem for me because I could play Diablo II but I couldn't play Diablo and it's a hard challenge to kill The Butcher. I fought about 30 minutes.:P
The master of Diablo is here. Exeptional things which he did:
    1. Killing Diablo with level 14 Sorceress with 50 000 gold.
    2. Complete the whole act 1 without getting hitted with Necromancer
    3. Completed the whole game in level 21.
    4. Get seven player in a handicap duel 1v7 with a Barbarian.
